2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Gallery
It's the mind-bending power and performance figures of the Chevrolet Corvette ZRX1 that have made the headlines over the last few days, and rightly so, but let's not take away the fact that it's also got the visual punch to back up its hypercar-level speed. Here's a look at the newest Corvette from every angle. The exterior of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is seen here black, with a red center stripe and the ZTK Performance Package. From above, we can see the aggressive hood and the large rear wing. The various aerodynamic enhancements to this model create 1,200 lbs of downforce. The Corvette is nearly as mean to look at without the rear wing. This example is finished in Blade Silver Metallic, but buyers can also get the car in eye-popping shades like Sebring Orange and Competition Yellow. A quad-exit exhaust system peaks out of the back. While it makes a stunning noise at full throttle, an electric-only Stealth Mode enables driving on electric power alone at up to 45 mph, but only for 4 to 5 miles. Massive performance means massive breaks, and the ZRX1 boasts 10-piston front calipers and six-piston items at the back. The carbon ceramic rotors measure 16.5 inches, now the biggest ever fitted to a Corvette. The flow-through hood assists with optimal airflow, while the front splitter and underwing creates suction under the car to improve downforce and lower drag. A very special engine powers this Corvette. The 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 is boosted by two 76mm turbos. This, together with a front-axle electric motor, develops 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft combined. The 0-60 time is under two seconds, and the manufacturer estimates a quarter-mile sprint of below nine seconds. The basic layout of the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZRX1's interior will be familiar to those who have driven other Corvettes. A new three-screen layout and updated center console form part of the changes. Even the base 1LZ gets eight-way power-adjustable GT1 or Competition sports seats. If you go for the 3LZ, expect heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats. High-quality leather and stitching are everywhere, and there's a Bose sound system with between 10 and 14 speakers, depending on the trim. The center section features glossy carbon fiber trim, dual cupholders, and a wireless charging pad. As with the exterior, the interior is highly customizable. There are at least 20 different color combinations, including the Adrenaline Red seen here. Customers can obtain plenty of information from the ZR1X's Performance App, including tire temperatures and horsepower/torque over specific time intervals. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. C8 Corvette Refresh Moves It More Into The Modern Era
Read the full story on The Auto Wire Much has been said, both positive and negative, about the C8 Corvette and its cockpit. But Chevrolet has revealed for the 2026 a new design will change some things, including taking out the so-called Great Wall of Buttons. Like all modern vehicles, digital screens are bigger and take over even more, but we have mixed feelings about of a bunch of buttons, the C8 Corvette will have three larger screens to help the driver monitor what's going on and control different functions. The gauge cluster screen is now 12.7 inches and the infotainment screen is 14 inches. Plus, there's a new 6.6 inch auxiliary touchscreen on the driver's left At least not all the physical buttons will be gone and while we weren't big fans of the layout before, we're unsure how user-friendly this redesign will be. Another big change has to do with software. The PDR recorder has been improved, as has the Corvette Performance App. Plus, there's a new PTM-Pro setting for track driving. Not only is the Great Wall of Buttons gone, the whole center console has been redesigned. One of the changes is the drive mode selector being relocated by the gear selector. Redesigned cupholders feature ambient lighting and in higher trims also feature aluminum. Plus, there's a wireless charging pad for your phone, which admittedly is a nice feature to have. In addition, five new interior colors are coming. GM hasn't said what current interior colors will be ended. For the exterior, there will be two new paint options: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic. Plus, blue brake calipers will be available for the Z06 and E-Ray. Perhaps the biggest change is the Targa roof with electrochromatic glass the driver can lighten or darken. One thing that's obvious about this move is GM refreshing the C8 Corvette is a planned move to reinvigorate sales. That's why mid-cycle refreshes are a thing as cars and their designs get a little stale. But we have mixed feelings about this one. We're also not sure if this will result in a sales bump for the 2026 models, something that's needed as C8 Corvettes that were once red hot are now stacking up at dealerships. Will this turn things around? Will the presence of more screens and fewer buttons turn buyers off even more? We'll have to see when the 2026 Corvettes start coming into the market.
