My Gel Eyeliner Applies 'Like Butter' And Only Costs $8

As a beauty reporter, being pleasantly surprised by a product is one of my favorite things, especially when it's an industry underdog with an accessible price tag. This was my experience when I tried the af94 Star69 gel eyeliner, an under-the-radar cosmetic that, upon first swipe, proved itself to be a true hidden gem that I now use nearly every day. There's understandably a lot of skepticism surrounding celebrity-founded brands — I too have been guilty of extra criticism towards these ventures, especially when it comes to beauty. So when I received a sample of the Star69 liner and learned that the af94 brand belonged to pop singer Halsey, I almost didn't bother. However, I quickly ate my words when it applied like literal butter to my lids, with a type of ease and level of control that I typically don't find with eyeliners of this consistency. Other well-known eyeliners I've seen that claim to share a similar formula are the Bobby Brown Perfectly Defined gel eyeliner, priced at $36 a tube, and the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencil, priced at $23. Another benefit to this smooth and lightweight gel-based composition is its exceptional staying power. Once this matte-finish eyeliner dries down, it doesn't budge for water, sweat, or even excessive rubbing. I've worn it in the dead of Los Angeles summers, to dance classes, and it's still remained impeccably in place, even better than liquid-formula eyeliners, which used to be my only liners of choice. But this steadfast performance doesn't mean I can't manipulate the product to achieve a soft cat eye on those days when I don't want such a harsh look. Before it dries down, I'm able to smoke out the liner a bit into a wing with a fine eyeliner brush to help diffuse the edges, and then I run a clean, thin brush beneath the line I've just created to make a pointed wing. As I mentioned earlier, I received my first Star69 eyeliner complimentary in the deep brown shade Leather Bound. However, I liked it so much ended up purchasing the jet black (Atomic) and navy blue shade (Myzul) on my own (there's a total of five to choose from). You also don't need a sharpener because it has a twist-up packaging design that automatically sharpens with each turn. Available at Walmart starting at just $8 a pop, a few reviewers have also chimed in below to share the reasons why they also adore this lesser-known eyeliner. Get it from Walmart for $7.92+ (available in five shades).

Bobby Brown says grief 'doesn't stop' after children Bobby Jr. and Bobbi Kristina's deaths

Bobby Brown says grief 'doesn't stop' after children Bobby Jr. and Bobbi Kristina's deaths Show Caption Hide Caption Cissy Houston, Grammy award-winning gospel singer, dies at 91 Two-time Grammy-winning gospel singer and Whitney Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, has died from Alzheimer's disease at 91. Bobby Brown is speaking out about how he has been coping with the deaths of ex-wife Whitney Houston and two of his children in recent years. On the May 19 episode of "The Jennifer Hudson Show," the R&B singer revealed he has been in therapy to "work through" the sudden deaths of Houston, their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and his son Bobby Brown Jr. The former "Masked Singer" contestant told Jennifer Hudson that he "accepted going to a therapist and really working out all of the issues that I had within me" after "lots of prayer, first and foremost." Bobbi Kristina died July 26, 2015, at 22 years old after being put in hospice care due to injuries sustained from drowning and drug intoxication. Five years ago, in November 2020, Brown's youngest son, 28-year-old Bobby Jr., died from the combined effects of alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl. Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Feb. 11, 2012, after accidentally drowning in a bathtub. Bobby Brown says he sees late children Bobby Brown Jr., Bobbi Kristina in his dreams "It's not like it just goes away. It's gonna be with you forever, but it's about coping with it and dealing with it and really paying attention to yourself," Brown told Hudson. His wellness routine includes "Paying attention to how you're feeling when you wake up that day, (asking) 'How am I feeling today?' and letting somebody know how you're feeling that day, not keeping it inside." In the interview, Brown also expressed his love for his wife Alicia Etheridge-Brown and his five surviving children, thanking them for "standing by me" and for "being there for me when I was down and when I wasn't feeling right and when times get hard." Houston's death at 48 years old reverberated around the world, but Brown shared that he still misses his ex-wife. He told Hudson that "she taught me a lot, just a lot about life and love and about living." "She also taught me sometimes how to hit notes and how not to hit notes. When I would hit bad notes, she'd let me know that I hit a bad note," Brown said, adding, "She is definitely loved and missed in my heart." On Oct. 7, Brown's former mother-in-law, Cissy Houston, died at 91.

Bobby Brown went to therapy to cope with the loss of his two children and ex-wife Whitney Houston

Bobby Brown has been in therapy to "work through" his grief after the deaths of his two children Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown Jr and former wife Whitney Houston. The 56-year-old singer explained that he decided to see a therapist to cope with the grief that came with loss of his daughter and son in 2015 and 2020 at the ages of 22 and 28 from drowning and drug intoxication and a drug overdose respectively, as well as the passing of the 'I Will Always Love You' singer in 2012 at the age of 48. Speaking on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show' on Monday (19.05.25), Bobby said: "Lots of prayer, first and foremost, that absolutely took me to the point where I accepted therapy in my life. I accepted going to a therapist and really working out all of the issues that I had within me." The 'Every Little Step' hitmaker also revealed that the support of his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown and his five remaining children – son Landon, 38, daughter La'Prinicia, 35, from his previous relationships with Melika Williams and Kim Ward respectively and son Cassius, 15, and daughters Bodhi, nine and Hendrix, eight, from his current marriage – has helped him heal through tragic times. Bobby said: "Also, just family... being there for me when I was down and when I wasn't feeling right and when times got hard. "They're still there because it doesn't stop. It's not like it just goes away. It's gonna be with you forever, but it's about dealing with it and really paying attention to yourself. Paying attention to how you're feeling that day and letting somebody know how you're feeling that day. You know, not keeping it inside." The New Edition star was married to Whitney from 1992 until they divorced in 2007 and revealed that he still misses the music icon, with whom he had Bobbi Kristina. Bobby said: "She taught me a lot, about life and love and about living right... she is definitely loved and missed in my heart." The star previously revealed that he still sees his late children in his dreams. He told People in 2022: "I always see them at beaches or in fields. They're running away, but they're laughing. And they're always together. "I didn't have many dreams about Bobbi Kris before Bobby Jr died. But then all of a sudden – floods of dreams."

Yara Sameh 'Enola Holmes 3″ has began production in the U.K., with Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill, Helena Boham-Carter, Himesh Patel and Sharon Duncan-Brewster returning for more of Netflix's Victorian-era sleuthing escapades. The streamer confirmed the third instalment has moved into production with a first look image from the film's set featuring Bobby Brown. 'Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge spotted behind the scenes of Enola Holmes 3. NOW IN PRODUCTION!,' Netflix posted on Instagram with an image from Bobby Brown and Partridge. Barantini is working from a script by his 'Adolescence' collaborator Jack Thorne, who has now written all three 'Enola Holmes' features, based on 'The Enola Holmes Mysteries' book series By Nancy Springer that detail the daring detective work of Sherlock Holmes' teenage sister. The third entry sees adventure chase Enola Holmes to Malta, where, according to the description, 'personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.' Producers include Mary Parent, Ali Mendes and Alex Garcia for Legendary Entertainment and Brown and Bobby Brown for Brown's production company PCMA Productions. Executive producers include Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Richards for PCMA, Joshua Grode for Legendary and Michael Dreyer. The 'Enola Holmes' films have proved a critical and commercial hit for Netflix so far, 'Enola Holmes 2' debuting at top spot in its global weekly viewing in late 2022 after notching up more than 68 million hours streamed across 93 countries. The second film also saw Brown reportedly paid $10 million for the lead role, the highest upfront salary for an actor below the age of 20 at the time. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 ..
