The Bold and the Beautiful shocker: Luna's death is fake, say fans — 'They all wanted her dead but she's way too smart!'
Luna's apparent death after being shot on The Bold and the Beautiful has triggered intense speculation. While the show announced her death in a recent episode, several viewers believe it may just be another twist in the long-running CBS soap. The suspicious behavior of Li, the character's grandmother, and the show's history of fake deaths are key reasons for this skepticism. What actually happened to Luna? In the July 8 episode, Luna was shot by Liam during a chaotic scene that unfolded after Luna had accidentally wounded him during a struggle with Sheila. Doctors performed emergency surgery to save her life. After the operation, Li and Bridget informed viewers that Luna had made it through the procedure but would possibly face legal consequences. After Bridget left the hospital room, Li was seen telling Luna, 'You don't deserve this, Luna,' and then mentioned keeping a 'close eye' on her. Not long after, Li informed the rest of the characters that Luna had died. This sudden shift has left many wondering whether Luna actually died or if Li is hiding something once again—something she's done in the past. Why fans are doubting the death Li has a history of keeping major secrets. In the past, she let others believe that Finn had died after being shot by Sheila. She hid the truth from Steffy and the rest of the family for quite some time. Because of that, longtime fans are suspicious of Li's behavior now. A fan shared on social media: 'They ALL hated Luna & you know they all wanted her dead. But her mom says it & they'll all hate her. These folks are monsters.' Another viewer pointed out: 'Them keep bringing Luna name is convincing me she definitely not dead.' Them keep bringing Luna name is convincing me she definitely not dead🤷🏾♀️#BoldandBeautiful Behind-the-scenes hints suggest a twist Lisa Yamada, who plays Luna, has reportedly exited the show. However, behind-the-scenes photos recently posted by Katherine Kelly Lang (who plays Brooke) suggest that both Luna and Liam are on set for episodes scheduled to air in September. This contradicts the storyline that Luna has died and supports the theory that the character might return. Additionally, The Bold and the Beautiful has a record of dramatic reversals. Bill Spencer was shown to have hidden the real murderer in another storyline, even after someone else had been wrongly imprisoned. These previous twists have set the tone for Luna's current situation. A pattern fans know too well Since her entry in 2023 as a kind and cheerful character, Luna's arc has changed significantly. She got involved in crime, betrayed her boyfriend, and eventually shot Liam. Liam then returned fire, injuring Luna. The quick shift from surgery recovery to death announcement—especially with Li at the center—has raised eyebrows. Is Luna really dead? #BoldandBeautiful While the show stated Luna is dead, the clues and patterns suggest this may not be the final chapter for the character. Whether this is another staged disappearance or a real exit remains to be seen, but viewers have good reason to believe that Luna's story isn't over just yet.

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Fans React to 'Near' Daytime Emmy Shutout: 'Something Is Wrong'
'The Bold and the Beautiful' Fans React to 'Near' Daytime Emmy Shutout: 'Something Is Wrong' originally appeared on Parade. The 52 Daytime Emmy nominations have been revealed, and The Bold and the Beautifulhas been left in the dust. Unlike Beyond the Gates, which was not eligible since the show debuted in February, B&B was eligible but only earned four nominations. In fact, The Bold and the Beautiful was left out of every major category, including Outstanding Daytime Drama series. The CBS soap got nominations for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, and Outstanding Hairstyling and Howard (Tom), Christian Weissmann (Remy), and Lisa Yamada (Luna) were the only cast members nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award this year. Fans wasted no time taking to social media to express their thoughts on The Bold and the Beautiful basically being shut out of the Daytime Emmy Awards. 'And can we talk about The bold and the beautiful my goodness. the executives should be embarrassed damn near snubbed out of majority of the categories this year 😬 that alone tells you something is wrong with this show #BoldandBeautiful #DaytimeEmmys,' read an X. Another fan wrote on X, 'BOLD completely shut out from the emmy's LMAO.' "Bold being completely snubbed is historic and shows something gotta change cause what? #boldandbeautiful #DaytimeEmmys,' insisted another. '#BoldandBeautiful not being nominated in any of the major #DaytimeEmmys categories is so… hopefully 🛎️ learns his lesson!' declared one fan on X. A different fan shared, 'I'm 💀 at #BoldAndBeautiful officially frozen out of the big acting, writing, and directing categories. #DaytimeEmmys.' One post said, 'Bold is gonna get their a-- beat when Beyond the Gates becomes eligible for next year's nominations. And I'll say it's very deserved.' 'Now that bold has been mainly left out, I feel more justified in my decision to step away from the show. It's not even a soap anymore. More like a comedy show, even the actors don't bother trying anymore and the awards agree as well. #BoldandBeautiful #DaytimeEmmys,' read an X. A different fan on X spilled, '#Boldandbeautiful getting completely shut out of the three major categories is wild… they said we ain't the smartest voters but we can't even nominate this s---ty mess 😭 #DaytimeEmmys.' The fan reaction honestly aren't very surprising, considering how the show has gone this past year. There have been so many recycled storylines, like the Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) love triangle. Storylines also drag on forever, like Liam (Scott Clifton) with his brain tumor and Luna being a psycho. The 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on Friday, October 17. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. 'The Bold and the Beautiful' Fans React to 'Near' Daytime Emmy Shutout: 'Something Is Wrong' first appeared on Parade on Jul 10, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 10, 2025, where it first appeared.

At the beach house, Luna (Lisa Yamada) confronted Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), blaming Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) for everything that had gone wrong in her life, including her inability to have a future with Finn (Tanner Novlan). Luna's rant reached a boiling point when she pulled a gun on Steffy, refusing to let her leave to find the teacher. Sheila tried to calm her down, urging her to put the gun down before things escalated. However, Luna, still desperate for Finn's love and acceptance, continued to lash out. At the hospital, Finn continued to be bombarded with calls from Sheila. Meanwhile, Li (Naomi Matsuda) voiced her deep frustrations with her sister, Poppy (Romy Park), and how her actions had led to Luna's troubled path. Li referred to Poppy as a 'degenerate,' blaming her for the chaos Luna had caused. Finn struggled with guilt, feeling like he should have been there for Luna growing up. Although Li was adamant that Poppy was to blame for Luna's behavior, Finn couldn't help but wonder how things might have been different if he had been more present in Luna's life. Finn and Li agreed that they needed to protect their family from Luna's destructive behavior moving forward. WATCH THIS: Check out Soap Hub's new podcast, Soap Hub Says, here!
