The company revived the iconic Luna model in a new electric avatar last year and has been retailing it in both personal and commercial markets. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, said the company is poised for aggressive growth, having already sold over 80,000 electric two-wheelers and set up a network of 400 dealerships. Kinetic Green's journey in the EV space began in 2016 with electric three-wheelers. It entered the two-wheeler segment in 2022, and the E-Luna, launched in 2024. In 2024-25, India saw 1.15 million electric two-wheelers sold, with 90% of them being e-scooters. Market forecasts suggest that e-scooter adoption will rise from 15% to 70% in the next five years. Kinetic Green to launch 3 new Born-Electric scooters in next 18 months
Homegrown electric vehicles (EVs) manufacturer Kinetic Green on Friday said it will launch three new Born-Electric-branded electric scooters in the next 18 months to boost its electric two-wheeler (E2W) business. This builds upon the 'strong market response' received by the flagship Kinetic Green E-Luna scooter launched last year, the Maharashtra-based company said. The first Born-Electric scooter will be 'stylish, tech-forward, and family-oriented' with features such as a vibrant TFT display, multiple battery variants, fast-charging, and smart connectivity powered by JioThings. It is expected to launch before the festive season this year. To enhance design and aesthetics, Kinetic Green has partnered with Italy-based Torino Design . The companies aim to seamlessly integrate advanced Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, comfort, and safety features for scooter riders. 'Our upcoming Born-Electric scooters will redefine category benchmarks in styling and utility,' said Sulajja Firodia Motwani, founder & CEO of Kinetic Green. 'Backed by our legacy, EV R&D and strategic partnerships, we're ready to lead India's electric mobility transformation.' Poised to Tap ₹40,000 Crore Market Opportunity Kinetic Green said it has sold over 80,000 E2Ws and established a nationwide network of 400 exclusive dealerships. It began its EV journey in 2016 and debuted in the E2W sector in 2022. With India's e-scooter penetration expected to grow from 15 per cent to 70 per cent by 2030, reaching an estimated ₹40,000 crore market, the timing is ideal, the company said, citing third-party estimates, adding that the new launches will help it capitalise on this expected growth.
