Ocean Alley Announce Massive ‘Love Balloon' 2026 Australian Tour Dates
Ocean Alley are hitting the road in honour of their forthcoming fifth studio album, Love Balloon. The Northern Beaches-born indie-rock juggernauts have given fans plenty of notice too, flagging a celebratory five-date headline tour for January 2026 in some monster-sized venues and with some appropriately supersized support acts. The six-piece will be kicking things off in Melbourne's Catani Gardens, before heading to Brisbane Showgrounds and then The Domain in Sydney, and will be joined at those three shows by UK rockers Nothing But Thieves, US sonic shapeshifters Rainbow Kitten Surprise and South Coast singer-songwriter Ruby Fields. The tour will then head to Fremantle's Esplanade Park before wrapping up at Margaret River's 3 Oceans Winery, with Wollongong surf/garage duo Skeggs, Ruby Fields and Perth indie-rockers Smol Fish on support duties for those two dates. To boot, all five shows will be running as licensed/all ages events. Ocean Alley's forthcoming Love Balloon LP follows on from 2022's Low Altitude Living, and is set for release on Friday, September 19th via Community Music. 'The album explores the many layered dimensions of love,' said Lachlan Galbraith – the band's keyboardist – in a press statement. 'Not just the cinematic kind where you're falling head over heels, but the full spectrum: joy, hurt, discomfort and disappointment. Let's call it the river of love; whether it's with a partner, a friend, or family, you never know when it'll get deep, go shallow, or suddenly change course. It's such a force, you have to just surrender to its current.' The band recorded Love Balloon with producer Nick DiDia, which marks their first time making an album without longtime collaborator Callum Howell. It was recorded at Brooklet Recording, the Byron Bay studio DiDia co-owns with former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning. The recently-released title track 'Love Balloon' is the third single to be lifted from the record, following last year's 'Tangerine' and 'Left Of The Dealer' back in February. Mr Worldwide comes Down Under: Pitbull, Mariah Carey confirm Australian tour
A massive line-up of R&B artists is coming to Australia as Mariah Carey, Pitbull and Eve join the blockbuster Fridayz Live tour. The R&B royalty will be joined by Wiz Khalifa, Lil Jon, Tinie Tempah and Jordin Sparks in the four-city tour of Australia in October. Fridayz Live said there would be "no sideshows and no second chances" for those who missed out on tickets. The festival is returning after a year off in 2024, when organisers "hit the pause button" as they were unable to secure a strong lineup. In 2025, the festival organisers said Fridayz Live has entered "a new era" and promised fans their "most blockbuster line-up to date". The tour starts on October 17, 2025, at Brisbane Showgrounds in Brisbane. The line-up heads to Sydney's ENGIE Stadium on October 18, before Perth's Langley Park on October 24, and Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on October 25. Ticket presale starts as early as May 26, with general tickets on sale from June 2. How to get tickets for Fridayz Live 2025: pre-sale, prices, dates and more
All we wanted for Christmas was Fridayz Live – and we don't have to wait 'til December because the beloved R'n'B festival is making a comeback this October after a one-year hiatus in 2024. The mega Aussie music fest will be hitting up Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne with a huge line-up of R'n'B legends and massive hip-hop stars. Think Mariah Carey, Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa and Jordin Sparks – eek! Here's everything you need to know about getting tickets to Fridayz Live in 2025. When is Fridayz Live 2025? It's been 11 years since Mimi last played in Australia, and you bet we've had 'We Belong Together' on repeat since this news dropped. Joining her is Mr Worldwide himself, Pitbull. Known for his d-floor smash-hits (including 'Hotel Room Service', 'On The Floor' and 'Give Me Everything') and epic collabs, we recommend sourcing your bald cap sooner, rather than later (IYKYK). But wait, there's more! Also scheduled to appear are Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa (hands up if 'See You Again' still makes you shed a tear); crunk and club superstar Lil Jon; powerhouse rap icon Eve; UK pop and hip-hop artist Tinie Tempah; and former American Idol winner turned chart-topping vocalist Jordin Sparks.
