Olivia Rodrigo dressed like strawberries and cream for Wimbledon in a vintage gingham look
It's the battle of the patterns this summer, with polka dots and gingham replacing 'quiet luxury' as the trending styles of the season. If you were ever stuck between which print to go for, Olivia Rodrigo's latest look has firmly placed her in the latter camp. Yesterday, the Vampire singer attended day three of Wimbledon in a quintessentially British outfit, arriving to the courts in a red and white checked dress that featured a fitted shirt silhouette and a hemline that fell to just below her knees. Not only was this an adorable picnic-inspired look, but the dress also happened to be a vintage Ralph Lauren piece from the early 2000s, making it older than Rodrigo herself. The star continued her sartorial ode to strawberries and cream with a red suede east-west shoulder bag by Khaite, further accessorising with a pair of slimline cherry-hued sunglasses. For her court-side beauty look, Rodrigo wore her glossy dark brunette hair in a centre-parting with loose curls, and kept her make-up polished with a rosy-hued pink lipstick and neutral short manicure. The three-time Grammy winner was joined by her beau, the actor Louis Partridge, who also demonstrated sharp Wimbledon dressing in a blue and white striped shirt, navy blazer, light sand chinos and a burgundy and yellow tie. Rodrigo understandably took the opportunity of the tennis championship event to enjoy some downtime after a monumental week, having performed her biggest UK show to date at Hyde Park's British Summertime Festival last Friday before heading to Glastonbury for her headline performance on Sunday. During her set at Worthy Farm, the singer gave a nod to the British punk subculture in a custom white leather bustier dress with lace cups and a ruffled skirt by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, styling it with a pair of black fishnet tights and grungy knee-high Doc Marten lace-up boots.
