Two years ago, the singer had visibly struggled throughout his performance at Britain's biggest festival, with loyal fans helping him to finish his songs. Feverish speculation had been mounting in recent days that a comeback was in the works after mysterious billboards appeared at a station close to the Glastonbury festival, in Somerset, and in Glasgow's City Centre. The billboards teased the reveal of a secret 'TBA' Glastonbury performer and featured a taster of the lyrics from the song. A leaked snippet of the song went viral on TikTok. The song is described by Lewis's team as 'a bold and brave new anthem that underscores a challenging period in his career that ended at Glastonbury 2023 in an extremely tough, but special unifying moment as the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line.' The release bodes well for the singer who first achieved global success in 2019, with his breakthrough single Someone You Loved. The single charted in 29 countries and remained at No1 for seven weeks. A debut album Divinely Inspired To A Hellish Extent and the 2023 follow up Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent also topped the charts. But the worldwide success and adulation took its toll and Lewis, who suffers from Tourette's syndrome and anxiety, stepped back from the limelight two years ago, almost to the day. Along with Phil, they are given a more adult costume, bringing them further into real life. My only gripe is that in doing so, some of the classic Disney magic is lost. Hades' famous flame hair has been replaced with silver locks, while half-goat, half-man Phil is now all man. But the cast make the characters their own and crowd pleasers come from the original film's score. While the new songs may not be instant classics, I'm pretty sure this show will Go The Distance. Planners at the council gave the superstar, 28, the go-ahead after there were no objections from neighbours. They said: "It is considered that the proposed development by way of its location and proximity to neighbouring properties will not have an adverse impact in terms of overlooking or overshadowing. "It is considered that the proposed development as a result of its location and scale will not have an adverse impact on the character of the landscape." They added: "The proposed development, by way of its scale, design and use of recycled sandstone from the existing farmhouse is considered in keeping with the character of the property.
