EXCLUSIVE Brooke Burke, 53, shares six easy 'biohacks' that will make you lose 10lbs in four weeks

Brunette bombshell has managed to stay in top shape even though she is over 50. The main reason she looks so lithe is that the Dancing With The Stars veteran works out every day at her Malibu mansion, which she documents on Brooke Burke Body. But the TV star also has a number of 'biohacks' - the practice of making intentional changes to one's lifestyle, environment, or body to optimize health - that she uses to stay in killer shape. The mother-of-four has told that several of these hacks can help shed 10lbs in a month. The 53-year-old cover girl revealed six biohacks that are easy to do at home which are not strenuous. One of her favorite things to do in the summer months is to actually lay down on a mat. But it's not just any old Walmart bought mat. 'I use a PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic frequency) pad that I lay on for eight minutes, twice a day,' the pinup told 'It improves oxygen flow, circulation, and recovery. It's one of the things I do to take care of myself.' Such a mat can cost anywhere from $330 to $700. Another biohack has to do with listening to 528 hertz sleep frequencies. 'I find it helps lower stress levels and drop me into a flow state, which makes me feel at peace,' she noted. And she also does cold plunges for extra fat burning. 'It helps with inflammation and fat burning,' Brooke noted. 'It's very hard to do because it is so incredibly cold. I try to stay in for at least three minutes. And I do it five times a week.' A more recent biohack is using Castor Oil on her stomach. According to Healthline, the treatment is called 'navel pulling' and is based on Ayurvedic methods that involve applying oils to the belly button and the surrounding area. Proponents of navel pulling claim that it has a variety of health benefits. Another thing Brooke does is take NAD+. 'I've been taking Tru Niagen for six years. It's a coenzyme that helps your body naturally produce the molecule nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+),' she shared. It's one of the things I do to take care of myself' NAD+ molecule plays an important role in cellular metabolism. And her top biohack is going for a walk in her neighborhood while holding in her tummy and strapping on weights. 'Movement is what matters most. And giving yourself the opportunity to get outside, move your body, and escape from your to do list, is meaningful,' she said. 'These days I have added ankle and hand weights when I walk which helps burn more calories. I really work on my abs while I am walking by sucking in my stomach. I don't even think about it anymore, I just do it.' Burke started biohacking two years ago. 'I am obsessed with biohacking and doing a deep dive into innovative longevity opportunities, and it feels amazing,' said the star. Biohacking is also known as 'human augmentation' and is a 'do-it-yourself biology' that works to enhance health and wellbeing through certain techniques such as meditation and intermittent fasting, according to Healthline. And Brooke also talked her diet. 'Eating more protein, extending my fasting window and an anti-inflammatory diet is good,' added the fitness expert who has been on the covers of Maxim and Playboy. 'It's very hard to do because it is so incredibly cold. I try to stay in for at least three minutes. And I do it five times a week,' she said 'Core focused Yoga, strength training in my workout split.' Burke is a fitness personality, model, author, actress, and businesswoman. She is known for hosting the E! Network travel show Wild On! (1999–2002), CBS's Rock Star (2005–2006), and TV Lands' She's Got the Look (2010). After winning the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars, Burke served as co-hostess of the show from season ten to season seventeen (2010–2013). In 2017, Burke launched Brooke Burke Body, a fitness app with workout videos featuring her. Since 2023, Brooke has served as the host of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, joining the series in its 10th season She was born in Hartford, Connecticut and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She attended both Sahuaro High School and Palo Verde High School in Tucson where she was homecoming queen in 1989. ‘Baywatch' star David Charvet has no regrets leaving Hollywood for construction

David Charvet left Hollywood nearly two decades ago and has no interest in going back. The actor, who starred in "Baywatch" and "Melrose Place," has turned to construction. In 2008, he and a business partner launched Jones Builders Group, which primarily builds luxury homes in the Los Angeles area, People magazine reported. "It was one way for me to leave Hollywood and to still be creative," the former '90s heartthrob recently told the outlet. "It was also one way for me to ensure that I would be home every morning and home every night so that I could raise my two children." "… I don't miss the fame," the 53-year-old reflected. "I don't miss the workload that we had because we used to work a lot, and it's very hard to raise a family that way. I commend all of the actors who have families that are able to balance that." The outlet noted that when Charvet and his then-wife, Brooke Burke, started having children, he realized that acting would need to take a backseat. He was eager to be a present father to their kids, Heaven Rain, now 18, and Shaya Braven, 17. The French-born actor pointed out that at the time, more and more films and TV shows were being filmed outside Los Angeles, which meant he would be away from his family for extended periods of time. "The goal was when I got my children, when they were born, was that I was going to be hands-on," Charvet explained. "I promised Brooke that I would be that man." After seven years of marriage, Charvet and Burke announced in 2018 that they were parting ways. Their divorce was finalized in 2020. Over the years, Charvet has immersed himself in his new profession. According to the outlet, he and Jones Builders have partnered with the fitness studio Burn LA and owner Maria Chase. His properties can also be seen throughout the Los Angeles area. Burn LA has three locations with a fourth on the way. The outlet noted there are plans to expand in Miami and New York City. "I'm learning more today than I ever thought I would ever learn, and it's incredible because this new little baby of ours, Burn, is flourishing in such an incredible way, and you have to protect it every day, and you have to also grow it every day," said Charvet. "So, how do you scale without compromising hospitality and all of the important features that it has? That's the next step." Charvet insisted that while he misses some parts of Hollywood, he has no regrets about walking away. "I miss the camaraderie that I had with the people on the sets," he said. "I had old-school producers and old-school people that worked as a unit, and it was a real family... [But] I wouldn't change anything. "I have to say that what I've experienced with my kids and what I've experienced in the last 17 years has definitely made me a better man, has made me understand what it is to have real relationships and be able to treat people kindly and have more of a humble approach in life." Back in 2022, Charvet told Page Six he left the spotlight so that he could reinvent himself as "the father I wanted to be." "Before I had my first child, I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music," he told the outlet at the time. "There's no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life." "I didn't want to go and take a TV show that was in Canada, I didn't want to travel to Europe to do my music," he continued. "I wanted to stay home, and I wanted to be a good dad. I wanted to be there for my children every single day." WATCH: 'BAYWATCH' STAR NICOLE EGGERT ON HOW CELEBRITY LIFE IN THE 90S DIFFERS FROM BEING FAMOUS TODAY Charvet starred in "Baywatch" alongside David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth from 1992 until 1996. His last credited role was 2013's "Prisoners of the Sun." Charvet admitted that at first, he mourned the loss of his decades-long career. "There was also a sense of sadness because I really loved what I did for 20 years," he said. But today, Charvet is proud of his two greatest roles: that of father and home builder. "My job today is I service people," he said. "I'm a service person. I'm no longer the star."

90s TV icon who was married to bikini bombshell seen with kids on rare Father's Day outing... can you guess who?

A beloved 90s TV icon was recently spotted out with his kids on a rare outing that just so happened to be on Father's Day. The actor shares two children with his ex - a bikini bombshell who turned heads in the 1990s and 2000s as well. The French-born actor launched his career in one of the biggest TV franchises of all time and also starred in another massive TV drama. Despite his impressive credentials, he hasn't acted in a film or a television series in more than a decade. He has since turned his focus to the successful business that he runs, far from the Hollywood spotlight though still based in L.A. Can you guess who it is? It's none other than David Charvet, who started his acting career back in 1992 as Matt Brody on one of the biggest TV shows of all time - Baywatch. He played Brody for four seasons, appearing in 70 episodes before leaving the show in Season 6 in 1996. After leaving Baywatch he signed on to star in another hit series, Fox's Melrose Place, where he played Craig Field over two seasons, appearing in 40 episodes. He dated Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson from 1992 to 1994 but he ultimately settled down with another beauty - Brooke Burke, who he shares his two children, daughter Heaven, 18, and son Shaya, 17. Charvet was spotted with both of his children at Malibu Park at Cross Creek for a Father's Day outing. The actor was wearing a grey sleeveless shirt with tan shorts and white and black Nike running shoes, while donning black sunglasses and a silver watch. His daughter Heaven rocked a grey off-shoulder shirt, very short black shorts and white sneakers. His son Shaya opted for a black t-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers for the outing with his sister and father. The actor opened up about leaving his acting career behind in a 2022 interview with Page Six, where he revealed he simply did not want to leave his family. 'Before I had my first child I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music,' he said. 'There's no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life,' he added. A 2006 incident with a contractor building his Malibu home ultimately lead to the business he now runs, The Jones Builders Group, which builds between 10 and 14 houses a year in Los Angeles. After firing the contractor and taking over the job himself with the contractor's 'good guy' project manager, he found people marveling at his work. 'We finished the house, and every time that we invited people over… they were like, "My God this house is so beautiful. Do you think you could do it again?"' Charvet recalled.

Brooke Burke says Ozempic causes 'terrible' metabolic issues, warns against trying to 'cheat the system'

When it comes to "quick" weight-loss strategies, Brooke Burke has never shied away from giving her "two cents." "When it comes to the world of Ozempic, which has changed the landscape of obesity, I'm not mad at it, I'll be really honest," the fitness guru and TV personality, 53, told Page Six in an interview. "But I'm not mad at it if someone is disciplined enough to weight train, to do their blood work and to eat. What drives me crazy is people that want a quick fix, they want to starve their body, and they don't understand the value of weight training." Burke, whose Stronger Together 90‑day guided challenge begins later this month, said denying your body food is "terrible" for your metabolism. "We're seeing this depleted look because people are losing their appetite," she explained. "That's the hormone, right? It helps you curb your appetite. They're not eating. That's terrible for your metabolism. That is terrible for everything." "I know we wanna cheat the system as Americans, we do," she said. "We're looking for that quick fix; it's not necessarily sustainable." "Everything from hormones to Ozempic to fad diets to tips and tricks to what's real, what's BS. And I am really honest with my community," she continued. "If any of us think that we're going to go take a prescription, and it's going to solve all of our problems, and we're gonna be able to stay on that, we're in big trouble," she added. Last year, Burke spoke candidly about the dangers of drugs such as Ozempic. "I think the lazy person that's turning to quick fixes for numbers on a scale, that doesn't have boundaries, that's not disciplined, that doesn't understand the value of muscle, of weight training and of boundaries within a nutritional plan, is going to crash and burn. I think it's super dangerous." "Somebody who can't move the needle for whatever reasons it may be, diabetics, hormones, there's a long list of them, that can work with a doctor under their care, manipulate the system, bring down glycemic levels," said Burke. "I think it has some great benefits, but it requires a purposeful plan." The Brooke Burke Fitness founder explained that she takes a holistic approach when helping her clients achieve their health goals. "The type of work that I do with people isn't about that quick fix, that pill, that diet, that fad thing that's going to fade away," she said. "It's about longevity. It's about a sustainable lifestyle. It's about mobility, strength. For me, it's really this marriage of strength and weakness. Can I understand my own body?" WATCH: BROOKE BURKE ADDRESSES CRITICS WHO BELIEVE HER MORNING ROUTINE IS TOO DIFFICULT "I struggle with a lot of different autoimmune diseases, so I know how to manipulate my body," Burke added. "I know how to biohack my system. I know what my body needs. I know about anti-inflammatory foods. I know about energy. I know about cellular repair." Burke previously revealed that she is battling three autoimmune diseases. The former "Dancing With the Stars" host suffers from vitiligo and inflammatory bowel disease as well as Hashimoto's disease, a chronic autoimmune disorder which can cause hyperthyroidism. In 2012, Burke shared that she underwent a thyroidectomy after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She has remained cancer-free since the surgery. Brooke Burke swears by 'weird' morning routine powered by belly patches, longevity smoothies

Brooke Burke's "weird" morning routine is not for the weak, but she says it's worth it. In a new interview with Fox News Digital, Burke broke down her detailed, three-hour health and beauty routine, which includes some unusual practices. "This castor oil belly button detox that's popping right now on social media, I got suckered. I ordered a kit," Burke began. "It's not about the castor oil. It's really about, I think, the process of connecting with the belly, heating up the core. You sleep with it, so you get this big bandage… I think personally, because it looks so weird, that's why everyone's interested." Burke said that after removing the patch in the morning, she will typically perform a lymphatic drainage massage on herself and rubs in the remaining oil. "It actually works for bloating, detoxing. Skin quality is great. And I think it might be… maybe part of it's mental – you know, I'm always a skeptic and I keep it real – but it might also be the intention of kind of loving your belly a little bit and doing a belly massage and just taking care of yourself. So yeah, weird, I know, I like weird things," Burke laughed. "So yeah, weird, I know, I like weird things." The fitness guru's longevity smoothie comes next. "So a lot of people are asking, 'What is longevity?' So we're actually in a process right now of rebranding and possibly even retitling, because for the most part, longevity is a little bit more in relation to lifespan, and has some scientific components. But longevity is the superfood blend. Let's call it a superfood boost. WATCH: Brooke Burke swears by her longevity smoothies "It has everything in there for recovery, endurance and energy. So maca, matcha, flaxseed oils, probiotics for the tummy, sustainable energy, pea protein. So a little bit of protein, but it's not a protein powder. It's a superfood blend for anti-inflammatory," she explained. Burke adds two scoops of the longevity powder to her smoothies every morning, but she also listens to her body to see what she needs every day. "I think that a lot of women are struggling getting their protein… especially in your 40s, 50s, 60s – we have to improve our protein intake for lean muscle. To maintain the muscle that we have and certainly to build muscle, which gets harder and harder. So doing a smoothie for me, it's a two-minute meal," Burke said. Some mornings, Burke will also do a cold plunge for her face. She fills up a bowl with ice water and dunks her face in it. WATCH: Brooke Burke admits her detailed morning routine is 'weird' "So you get like a big Tupperware or a big bowl. You have to fill it with ice. It's not just cold water. Is it fun? No. Will it get rid of puffiness? Will it tighten up the skin? Yes, cold water, the skin reacts. It'll wake up your face. It literally is a cold plunge for your face and all you do is you get your hair out of the way, you stick your face in it for as long as you can. And it's pretty amazing. "It actually works. So all of those weird things that I posted in my morning routine are things that, yes, I really do them and yes, they really work," Burke said with a laugh. Burke recently uploaded a video of her morning routine to Instagram, and it sparked a lot of mixed reviews. "This is her routine everyday? I'm all for self-care and self-love but seems to be a little too much for this single mom," one user wrote. Another added, "What about people that need to go to actual work and make the world go round." WATCH: Brooke Burke addresses critics who believe her morning routine is too difficult Some Instagram users praised Burke for sharing her intricate routine. "Oh I love this," one user wrote. "Ok! Must do!" another added. During her interview with Fox News Digital, Burke explained that she wakes up very early in the morning to get some key time for herself. She also addressed those who are skeptical of her morning routine. "I think it is difficult. I think change is difficult. I think it is time-consuming, but the reality is you're worth it. And if you can steal an hour extra in the day by getting up early, let's go. If you can carve out two hours where you can actually set yourself up for success during the day, you will be more productive. You will be connected. You will have a greater sense of clarity," she said. She added, "I would say wake up an hour earlier. I would say yes, meditate in the morning. And that might mean that you're laying down for 10 minutes, just going through your day. You don't have to completely quiet the mind." Burke shared a time-hack she has been incorporating which is "walk and talk." "If you can steal an hour, move in the morning, take a walk. Maybe you have a bunch of calls. You know what I've been doing lately: a walk and talk. So this has been a game changer for me," she said. Burke aims to hit 10,000 steps per day, in addition to her daily workout. "That's not my workout. Those are free calories, free. So, put that into perspective," she said. For those who don't have as much time in the morning, Burke suggests people prioritize time for themselves, getting a good night's rest, being outside and walking.
