XSite Braehead's Chrome 'n' Classics event raises £1350 for Scottish charity
Making its debut at XSite, thousands of visitors flocked to the event to see the showcase of over 200 classic cars bringing together American and vintage icons, custom builds, and modern marvels for attendees to admire. Organised in partnership with the Lanarkshire Classic Car Club, the event saw exceptional attendance, supported by the club's 220-strong membership, and marked one of the highest turnouts in the club's history! Bruce Harley, XSite Centre Manager, said: "We were blown away by the turnout from car enthusiasts and the incredible variety of vehicles on display. Chrome 'n' Classics was a brilliant way to bring the community together while supporting a fantastic local charity." This was our first time bringing Chrome 'n' Classics to XSite Braehead and it exceeded all expectations. Thousands visit Lanarkshire Classic Car Club event and help raise funds for CHAS
'We were blown away by the turnout from car enthusiasts and the incredible variety of vehicles' A classic car show organised by a Lanarkshire club has raised £1350 in for Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). The hugely successful Chrome 'n' Classics day was organised by Lanarkshire Classic Car Club in partnership with XSite Braehead, who hosted the event on Saturday, June 28. Making its debut at XSite, thousands of visitors flocked to the event to see the showcase of over 200 classic cars bringing together American and vintage icons, custom builds, and modern marvels for attendees to admire. The attendance exceeded expectations and was supported by the club's 220-strong membership, marking one of the highest turnouts in the club's history. The car club has been supporting CHAS since 2018, the hospice charity cares for and supports children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. 'Bold' and 'exciting' new restaurant opens in XSite Braehead
The centre announced that The Good Hood has officially opened at the facility. The brand-new eatery will bring a 'bold, New York-inspired menu' to the leisure facility. Its menu will feature items including burgers, fried chicken, and pizzas. As part of its opening, and to mark its third-ever location, The Good Hood will be offering exclusive deals at its XSite Braehead spot, including kids eat free Sundays, £1.99 beers Monday to Thursday, and a free portion of nachos for tables of six or more.
