There are, however, occasional comments about the service feeling a bit rushed when it is busy, some of the food served lukewarm, and poor service. What does Buck's Bar specialise in? Following over 160,000 votes being cast, Deliveroo reveals winners of its 2025 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the best and most loved local restaurants across the UK and Ireland. In Scotland, 11 restaurants have risen above fierce competition spanning across five regions, as passionate food enthusiasts cast their votes to support their favourite neighbourhood eateries. This year saw a total of 65 awards up for grabs, including the most prestigious, Independent Restaurant of the Year award, new categories for 2025, including 'Luke Littler x Deliveroo Best Kebab Award', which was brought back by the darts champion after a three-year hiatus. As well as the Rising Star Award, judged by Tilly Ramsay, with CEO & co-founder of Deliveroo, Will Shu, and an expert panel. The eatery, which currently has three venues across the city, is known for serving up delicious chicken dishes, including chicken burgers, waffles, and wings. Family sells restaurant in Scottish town after 42 years
Barry McNeil, director at Cornerstone Business Agents, brokered the deal for Ziggy's Restaurant and Bar in Saint Andrews in Fife. The restaurant will open under the new brand this summer. (Image: Cornerstone Business Agents) He said: 'Acting on behalf of Phil and Annie Wishart, Cornerstone Business Agents are delighted to advised and secured the sale on a new lease basis of Ziggy's Restaurant to Buck's Bar. 'We are delighted to have helped secure the arrival of Buck Bar number six to Saint Andrews.' The Buck's Bar brand and chain, as well as Thundercat and Thunderdog, is owned by Michael Bergson. READ MORE: 'Phil and Annie, first opened Ziggy's in 1983 and are delighted to conclude the sale to Michael and his team. 'In the preparation for a sale, we met with the family on several occasions and collectively decided we would proceed on a confidential basis - we specifically targeted Buck's Bar as we overwhelmingly believed Buck's Bar was the right fit for the site and Saint Andrews.' Mr Bergson said: 'We are delighted to have signed the deal for Buck's No.6 which will open late summer 2025.'

But the adored spot informed customers online that it's calling last orders. A social media post reads: "After over 40 years of rock 'n' roll vibes, delicious food, and unforgettable memories, we're entering our final 10 days at Ziggy's St Andrews. "We cherish every moment spent with our incredible patrons and are immensely grateful for your unwavering support throughout the years. "As we approach our closing day, we look forward to sharing these last special moments with you." However it's understood that popular chain Bucks Bar will be moving into the vacant unit. The Scottish restaurant loved by celebs is to open its first branch outside the central belt. American-themed Buck's Bar is known for its buttermilk fried chicken, real wings, craft brews and Bourbon. The owners already operate three venues in Glasgow and two in Edinburgh. Now they have set their sights on a new joint in St Andrews. The Sun tries Wetherspoons' new menu Sharing the exciting news on Facebook, staff wrote: "Buck's Bar no.6! St Andrews coming soon… "Location to be revealed, watch this space." But loyal foodies fond of Ziggy's in St Andrews rushed online to share their disappointment over the closure. One wrote: "We had a great time every time we came!
