Josh Allen is a hero for Buffalo Bills fans, proves it yet again in feel-good moment
There are few fanbases that fit together better with their star player than the Buffalo Bills' faithful and Josh Allen. The MVP quarterback feels like he was built to be a member of Bills Mafia himself. Time and again, Allen proves that he belongs in western New York, in moments on the field and off. The most recent feel-good scene came Tuesday at Bills training camp at St. John Fisher University outside of Rochester. Allen often signs autographs after practice, just for kids. And he took part in that same routine on a hot Tuesday. A local reporter, Thad Brown, caught video of Allen leaving the fans with a big wave, but then something caught his attention. One fan who hadn't gotten an Allen signature was in tears. Allen couldn't have that. He jogged back over and, as Brown put it, signed 30 more autographs. That's superhero behavior. But it's in these small moments where Allen makes lifelong Bills fans. And really, they're lifelong Allen fans. No one in these modern times is universally beloved. But in Bills country, Allen is universally beloved. He's special, and he belongs to the people of these local communities that proudly cheer on the Bills. This won't be the last example of that, either. Coming off a 2024 NFL MVP-winning season and a very public wedding in May, Josh Allen is zeroed in on his next goal: bringing the Buffalo Bills their first-ever Super Bowl championship. Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen embraces greener lifestyle with Hailee Steinfeld as new season looms Entering NFL training camp, Josh Allen is demonstrating the same commitment to recovery and nutrition as he does to his game-day performance. During a recent interview with GQ, the Buffalo Bills star announced that he has eliminated butter and dairy from his diet, opting instead for lean proteins and nutrient-dense foods such as sushi in order to remain in top condition. "Honestly, right now, it's probably the best it's ever been, partly because I wanted to look good for some recent events in my life.' Josh Allen said. Josh Allen, 29, claims that the adjustments started with preparing for his wedding with Hailee Steinfeld—and he's remained on the routine since. With health and hardware in mind, he has moved toward a lighter meal plan, typically avoiding breakfast and relying on steak, chicken, and fish to power through his grueling workouts. "I was making sure that I was staying fit and slim so I could fit in the clothes. My diet consists of a pretty light breakfast or light lunch. Sometimes I don't eat breakfast, and I don't follow the intermittent fasting diet. When I wake up, I'm not extremely hungry. A lot of protein, whether it's steak or chicken. I've really just dove into fish. Sushi is like my favorite food right now, so it's helped me with diversifying my proteins and what carbs I'm taking in,' Allen shared. "But I'm not sitting here counting calories. And when I'm back in Buffalo, we have a chef who cooks for us at least two times a week. I'm also taking the butter and dairy out, trying to eat very clean.' When he's home in Buffalo, Allen said the team's in-house chef is instrumental in keeping meals performance-driven. This enhanced focus on fitness comes as no surprise to his elite-level play. The quarterback has played in just four fewer games throughout his career, even with his high-contact style of play, and has continued to refine himself as a passer and as a runner. Josh Allen credits wife Hailee Steinfeld for giving him moral support In addition to the physical change, Allen admitted to the emotional aid he's had from his wife, Pitch Perfect and Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld. Allen said last year, "She's been a huge part. The morale, the support. When I get home, she's my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She's just the best." AFC East: After blockbuster trade, Dolphins land Darren Waller in another deal with Giants
Surprise! The #Dolphins are finalizing a trade with the #Giants for former Pro Bowl TE Darren Waller, who is coming out of retirement to play in Miami, per sources.A fascinating twist for Waller, who retired last summer, and a new weapon for a team that just traded Jonnu Smith. The Buffalo Bills' AFC East rival in the Miami Dolphins made another trade following their blockbuster deal earlier this week. In a trade with the New York Giants, tight end Darren Waller was sent to Miami as the 32-year-old as decided to unretire. In exchange for Waller, the Dolphins sent the Giants a 2026 sixth-round pick. New York gave up a seventh rounder to Miami as well. The deal for Waller is extra interesting as he was previously retired after the 2023 season. Previously with the Las Vegas Raiders, Waller had a combined 197 receptions for 2,341 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns with the Raiders in 2019 and 2020. Waller was considered one of the NFL's best tight ends at that time. Earlier this week, Miami completed a massive trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Dolphins shipped out three-time Pro Bowler cornerback Jalen Ramsey and landed safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
