Pregnant Love Island star Shaughna Phillips left stunned as she learns the gender of her baby and reveals why doctors are forcing her to undergo a C-section - ahead of welcoming second child with jailed boyfriend Billy Webb
Pregnant Shaughna Phillips has revealed she already knows the gender of her baby and took to Instagram on Thursday to share a snap of the moment she learned the news for the first time. The Love Island star, 31, looked stunned in the photo just days after confirming she was expecting, with The Sun later reporting that she would once again be welcoming a child with jailed boyfriend Billy Webb, who is also the father of her daughter Lucia. During a Q&A with followers one asked 'So pleased for you! Are you going to find out the gender?' to which Shaughna shared the snap of herself with her mouth wide open in utter disbelief and wrote: 'We do know the gender, this was my reaction'. She also revealed that was due in November, but said she'd be undergoing a C-Section so would likely welcome the tot a little earlier. Shaughna explained that while she had already planned to undergo the procedure following her now two-year-old's 'rough' birth, doctors had also insisted on it, due to her suffering from a 'low lying placenta'. Reflecting on Lucia's birth she wrote: 'Induction, 2 days labour, pushed for an hour and she was not moving, She got rally stressed and was rushed for forceps which FAILED because she turned around, and then she was rushed for an emergency C-Section and ended up with a postpartum haemorrhage'. She continued: 'So I always said I never wanted to risk that happening again and my baby being in such distress so always planned on having a C-section for future babes'. 'At my 20 week scan that said I have a low lying placenta which means I have tio have a section so ended up not being my choice anyway LOL'. Following the birth of Lucia in April 2023, Billy, 29, was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. Speaking to The Mirror on Thursday, Shaughna said she got pregnant the very first time her ovulation period had coincided with Billy being at home. 'It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home,' Shaughna said. 'I was like, "You know what? Why not? Let's just see" - and literally, the next day, I said to Billy, "I think I'm pregnant".' She went on to hint that Billy is set for early release and will be here for the birth. Shaughna said: 'I know the date that he's due to be home, but I'm not saying it just because anything could happen - but hopefully he will be fully home before my baby is due.' Shaughna and Billy have been enjoying family days out over the past seven months while he has been on day release from an open prison. An insider said: 'Billy has been in a Category D prison, which means he has been able to spend a fair bit of time with Shaughna. 'He even managed to be home over Christmas, which meant a lot to her and, of course, Lucia. He hasn't been released as many people thought, but he has a lot of privileges.' In Category D prisons inmates have minimal security and those deemed 'low risk' inmates are allowed to leave the site to work, 'resettle' or attend education during the day. MailOnline contacted Shaughna's representatives for comment at the time. Announcing her pregnancy on Sunday, Shaughna posted a video of herself taking a pregnancy test and showed off her growing bump. She also shared a sweet video of her daughter Lucia, two, wearing a t-shirt saying 'Big Sis' and 'In my big sister era' to go with the announcement. Shaughna did not reveal who the father of her baby is as she wrote: 'Adding a little more love to our family…' Shaughna revealed the couple had spent Christmas together in December after the family reunited to enjoy a Christmas grotto together. Sharing an adorable video to her Instagram, the reality star revealed that she and her partner had taken Lucia to see Santa and added she never thought this day would come. She captioned the clip: 'If you had told me this time last year, that me and Billy would be taking Lucia to see Santa next Christmas, I probably wouldn't have let myself believe you 'The best couple of days, this Christmas is going to be so special'. The blonde bombshell has been very open with her fans throughout the ordeal and previously revealed on her podcast Oh, Baby with Shaughna and Holly that she had struggled to come to terms with the situation. She said: 'It's the most gut-wrenching position to be in. 'And, I mean, before I even answer this question, I want to just put it out there that you can judge me all you want, but please don't let me know, because I feel like unless you've been in this position you can't really have an opinion on it. 'Because before I was in this position, before I had a baby, if you had asked me would I ever, ever take my child into a prison, the answer would be absolutely not. Anyone that does that is crazy. 'And then, lo and behold, I'm now in this position. And I think the thing is, we're always going to be co-parents. 'And I know that me and my dad had the best relationship ever, and to me, my dad is the best person in the world. 'And I don't want Lucia to think differently of her father. I would never, ever stop him from seeing her, ever.' What is a Low-Lying Placenta? In some women, the placenta attaches low down in the uterus and may cover part of or all of the cervix (the neck of the womb). In most cases, the placenta moves upwards and out of the way as the uterus grows during pregnancy. For some women, however, the placenta continues to lie in the lower part of the uterus as the pregnancy progresses. If the placenta remains low-lying, you will have an additional scan at 36 weeks. If the placenta remains low at 36 weeks then you will see an obstetrician who will to decide the safest way to deliver the baby.

A Mom-to-Be Says Her Mother Seems ‘Embarrassed' She's Giving Birth Via C-Section — and Now Her Husband Is Furious
A soon-to-be mom says she thinks her mother is 'embarrassed' that she's going to give birth via a C-section She says her mom claims a C-section 'isn't natural,' and told her, 'now you won't be able to tell people you've given birth to your baby' The woman says her husband is now "furious" with her mother and thinks she should "challenge" her, but she's not sure it's worth itA soon–to-be mom is upset after her 'difficult' mother told her that having a C-section isn't true childbirth — and she's wondering if she should say something. The woman detailed her story on the U.K.-based community site where women can seek advice from other women on interpersonal and parenting issues. In her post, the woman says that she is 39 weeks pregnant, and that she 'hoped and prepped for a vaginal birth' throughout her pregnancy. She goes on to say that 'despite doing all the planning,' including a hypnobirthing course, perineal massage, birthing ball exercises and more, her doctor recently confirmed that the baby is breech and she will require a C-section. 'I was upset at first, as I'd been almost looking forward to labor, and I'm quite scared of the surgery, but I've come to terms with it,' she adds. However, the original poster (OP) says that she recently told her mother of the birthing plan update, and her mom's reaction upset her 'all over again.' She says her mom was 'openly disappointed' by the news, and said, 'But now you won't be able to tell people you've given birth to your baby, as a C-section isn't natural.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The OP says she was 'taken aback' by the comment and attempted to explain to her mother that 'the only important thing was [the] baby being born safely and me being well.' She says that her mother then 'doubled down,' saying, 'But the baby won't have been 'born,' will it?' 'I think she's embarrassed at the prospect of telling people her grandchild wasn't birthed vaginally,' the woman goes on to say, adding that her mom is in her 50s and that this will be her first grandchild. The OP says that her husband is currently 'furious' at her mother over the comments and thinks the OP should 'challenge' her on them. While the OP says she likely won't say anything because her mom 'can be a difficult woman and sometimes it's easier to just let things go to keep the peace,' she is hoping to get either 'validation' or a 'reality check' from her fellow members to find out whether 'I'm being sensitive,' or if her mom 'is out of order.' The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! The vast majority of post commenters assured the OP that her feelings are completely valid and that her mother is being unreasonable. 'You are not overreacting. That was extremely insensitive of your mom,' said one person. 'Your [mother] sounds like she has ridiculous, fixed ideas,' one person said, adding, 'As long as your baby arrives safely it doesn't matter whether it was vaginal or [C-section] — and your [mother's] friends really won't be interested, disappointed, etc. in your method of giving birth either.' 'Why do people make such idiotic comments? You and your baby need to be safe first and foremost. No one I know would make any judgment about how a baby is born,' said someone else. And while a number of people said that the OP should probably just let the comment go, as challenging someone like her mother will likely just lead to more stress, some people said that the OP should say something now before the baby is born. One person said, 'I would message her saying something like, 'I just wanted to say I was upset by your comments on C-sections earlier. This is what my doctors have decided is best and the manner of birth isn't going to make any difference to the baby except possibly saving its life or my life. I'd appreciate it if you could avoid any more negative remarks on C-sections as it's deeply unhelpful for me at this time.' ' Read the original article on People

Grant Denyer's wife Chezzi undergoes 8 HOUR surgery after battling post-pregnancy condition that left her with nerve damage and endless pain
Chezzi Denyer has opened up about her four year health battle after a post-pregnancy hernia saw her struggle with nerve damage, unimaginable back pain and a lack of core strength. The former Sunrise producer, 43, who is married to TV presenter Grant Denyer, took to Instagram on Thursday to inform fans that she had undergone a lengthy seven and a half hour surgery after struggling with the hernia's effects for years. In the post, Chezzi shared pictures of her hospital stay, along with a caption detailing her turbulent health battle. 'Four years ago, after the arrival of my beautiful little Sunday, I didn't rest as I should have after my caesarean,' she started the post. 'Pushing myself too soon caused a hernia in my abdominal wall and left me with a 2cm abdominal separation from top to bottom,' an injury which stripped away her core strength and pelvic floor control. The result was layers of scar tissue around her third C-section scar and nerve damage that seemed impossible to fix. But despite the pain, the mum of three carried on, maxing herself out with family duties and not taking time to rest. 'When Sunday was in her full body cast, I carried her 20+ kilo little body around for hours on end, rocking her day in and day out for months. 'My instinct to mother her overrode my own physical pain, and I did more damage. The hernia opened up again, and a new one formed lower down.' Years of pain led Chezzi to take the needed steps to fix the problem, which would include a demanding and lengthy surgery, as well as a six-week recovery process. 'Last Friday, I underwent a 7.5-hour operation to rebuild me. I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a Mack truck,' she said. 'I've had physio just to deep breathe again, and I'm rocking some gnarly-looking drains. But I am home.' She then went on to thank her husband for 'holding it together' through the surgery's aftermath, saying she was in 'awe' of him. 'I've got three little emotional girls who are so happy to have their Mumma back—albeit a bit grossed out by me and my friends, the drains.' The Aussie star then revealed why she decided to be transparent about her health journey on social media. 'So many of you have been with me through the entire motherhood journey. We're friends. A community. It matters to me. 'I'm home, I'm healing, and I'm grateful,' she ended off the post. Last year, Chezzi announced that she had experienced a spiritual awakening and was ready to start work as a medium. The wife of Grant Denyer recently studied at Arthur Findlay College in Essex, England, a residential institution which describes itself as, 'The World's Foremost College for the Advancement of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences.' In an Instagram post in September, Chezzi revealed that she is embracing her new, open-minded life. Chezzi went on to describe her 'profound' studies at the college, which is described as offering 'facilities unequalled anywhere in the world in the spiritualist movement'. 'My time at Arthur Findlay College had so many profound moments that I'm yet to process... and of course, then share here.. but I am just so invigorated right now to get a greater conversation happening around self-acceptance' Chezzi said. 'Every time we choose a path of love over fear, we not only help ourselves grow but we help others simultaneously. And throughout my mediumship studies the most powerful messages from our loved ones strongly reinforce this.'
