Grant Denyer's wife Chezzi undergoes 8 HOUR surgery after battling post-pregnancy condition that left her with nerve damage and endless pain
The former Sunrise producer, 43, who is married to TV presenter Grant Denyer, took to Instagram on Thursday to inform fans that she had undergone a lengthy seven and a half hour surgery after struggling with the hernia's effects for years.
In the post, Chezzi shared pictures of her hospital stay, along with a caption detailing her turbulent health battle.
'Four years ago, after the arrival of my beautiful little Sunday, I didn't rest as I should have after my caesarean,' she started the post.
'Pushing myself too soon caused a hernia in my abdominal wall and left me with a 2cm abdominal separation from top to bottom,' an injury which stripped away her core strength and pelvic floor control.
The result was layers of scar tissue around her third C-section scar and nerve damage that seemed impossible to fix.
But despite the pain, the mum of three carried on, maxing herself out with family duties and not taking time to rest.
'When Sunday was in her full body cast, I carried her 20+ kilo little body around for hours on end, rocking her day in and day out for months.
'My instinct to mother her overrode my own physical pain, and I did more damage. The hernia opened up again, and a new one formed lower down.'
Years of pain led Chezzi to take the needed steps to fix the problem, which would include a demanding and lengthy surgery, as well as a six-week recovery process.
'Last Friday, I underwent a 7.5-hour operation to rebuild me. I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a Mack truck,' she said.
'I've had physio just to deep breathe again, and I'm rocking some gnarly-looking drains. But I am home.'
She then went on to thank her husband for 'holding it together' through the surgery's aftermath, saying she was in 'awe' of him.
'I've got three little emotional girls who are so happy to have their Mumma back—albeit a bit grossed out by me and my friends, the drains.'
The Aussie star then revealed why she decided to be transparent about her health journey on social media.
'So many of you have been with me through the entire motherhood journey. We're friends. A community. It matters to me.
'I'm home, I'm healing, and I'm grateful,' she ended off the post.
Last year, Chezzi announced that she had experienced a spiritual awakening and was ready to start work as a medium.
The wife of Grant Denyer recently studied at Arthur Findlay College in Essex, England, a residential institution which describes itself as, 'The World's Foremost College for the Advancement of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences.'
In an Instagram post in September, Chezzi revealed that she is embracing her new, open-minded life.
Chezzi went on to describe her 'profound' studies at the college, which is described as offering 'facilities unequalled anywhere in the world in the spiritualist movement'.
'My time at Arthur Findlay College had so many profound moments that I'm yet to process... and of course, then share here.. but I am just so invigorated right now to get a greater conversation happening around self-acceptance' Chezzi said.
'Every time we choose a path of love over fear, we not only help ourselves grow but we help others simultaneously. And throughout my mediumship studies the most powerful messages from our loved ones strongly reinforce this.'

Lorraine Kelly's ‘curry night' with Pacific Ocean rowers – 6000 miles out to sea
THE heroic Maclean brothers hosted two celebrity dinner guests this week - as they continue to row across the Pacific Ocean. Ewan, 33, Jamie, 32, and Lachlan, 28, have passed Day 80 of their record breaking voyage from Peru to their final destination in Australia. 5 5 5 5 But Lorraine Kelly and Still Game's Greg Hemphill both joined the lads as virtual dinner dates to help boost their morale. ITV host Lorraine tucked into a freeze dried ruby chicken curry with the lads who were over 10,000miles away from her London base. Initially she described their food as looking 'disgusting' but was soon won over saying it tasted 'really nice'. While Greg, 55, who played Craiglang's Victor McDade, wanted to know what the Macleans have to drink, asking: 'Have you had any alcohol on board?' Jamie replied: 'We've got a couple of cans of beer. We had one of them already. But I think there would be cause for a mutiny if the chocolate runs out.' Greg then confessed that he would like to join them for a leg of their trip. He told them: 'I'm an old man of the sea. I have my day skipper licence. 'I think I must have been an old sailor in the past and would have joined the navy for sure. 'But what you are doing is above and beyond all that.' The siblings are aiming to become the fastest to row the 9,000 mile route completely unsupported. Trolls attack Lorraine over 'disgraceful' way she broke Kim Woodburn's death on live TV They've already managed to row over 6,000 miles but have been hit by storms along the way and been followed by a man-eating hammerhead shark. Despite that, the Maclean's told Lorraine, 65, that they still have to take a dip in the ocean. Lachlan says: 'It's not a leisure swim, but we have to clean the bottom of the boat. 'It's amazing how quickly you get kind of barnacles and little muscles on the bottom of the hull. 'So we have to jump in and kind of scrape down, because they really slow the boat down.' And as they near the Australian coast they reveal the sharks will get bigger as they enter waters patrolled by great whites. Ewan says: 'We've seen a bunch of sharks already. I think they're mostly reef sharks which aren't that big although we actually saw a hammerhead the other day. I think once we get closer to Australia we will have to be really careful as we will still need to get in the water every five days to clean the hull. 'So I think once we get beyond New Zealand on that final stretch to Australia there will be great whites in those waters.' But keen fisherman Greg also wanted to know what kind of fish the lads had been catching to eat. Jamie explained: 'For the first half of the journey there were flying fish everywhere. 'They're like pigeons of the sea. They're pests. Some of them are quite big, about the size of a mackerel. 'They travel at some speed and the perfect height to take out a rower's head then just fly on. 'But the little ones end up just throwing themselves on deck. You wake up in the morning, and it looks like there's been some sort of massacre and they've already started to smell.' However Lorraine wanted to know if the brothers themselves had started to smell as they're cooped up today night and day on the 30ft vessel called the Rose Emily. She asked: 'Are you all really smelly and horrible? Or can you wash?' Ewan replied: 'Well, I think to each other we smell okay, but the reality would be to anyone on the outside, it's probably pretty dreadful. 'But we do have to be quite strict. Mainly from a salt perspective as the sea spray corrodes your skin and can quite quickly cause salt sores and blisters. 'So on that basis you either have to rinse it off with fresh water baby wipe before going to bed.' We revealed last month how Mark Wahlberg, 54, had also had a video call with the Scots brothers saying he wanted to make a movie about their "badass" record bid. And Greg wanted to know how they had got in touch with the Hollywood A-lister. Lachlan says: 'It was very surreal as we didn't have any kind of link to him. He reached via one of his people. Apparently he was just taken by the story. 'But we've actually spoken to him twice now. He seems quite interested in what's going on. He's Just a lovely guy.' *The Maclean Brothers are attempting to raise £1million for clean water projects. For more information visit 5

Melinda Gates candidly details where she went 'wrong' with parenting
Melinda Gates has got a lot 'right' in life, particularly when it comes to business ventures that have helped her amass a net worth of $30.7 billion. But she admits she has made mistakes before, and one of her first big 'failures' didn't happen in a meeting - it happened at home during an interaction with her youngest daughter Phoebe Gates. In the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, Melinda, 60, opened up about a heated moment with her now-23-year-old daughter Phoebe that led to the mom-of-three learning an important lesson not only about parenting but about friendships as well. She explained that while her older children, Jennifer, 30, and Rory, 25, were pretty good at following rules, her youngest was the 'toughest.' 'My third one just ran right through the rules,' Melinda, who is Microsoft found Bill Gates ' ex wife, told Elizabeth. Melinda went on to describe a moment when Phoebe was in high school that the mother-daughter duo got into an argument because Melinda wasn't allowing her to go to a party. 'She was really mad about it, kept pushing and pushing and pushing on me and finally she pushed me over the edge and I lost my temper with her,' Melinda said. She explained that while as parents you never want to lose your temper, it got away from her at that moment. 'We're all human, but I really lost my temper in a way I just shouldn't have and she was really angry at me and for good reason then, especially,' she said. 'I had not just a little bit raised my voice. 'I'd really raised my voice and I knew I was in the wrong.' Melinda quickly realized that she had 'overdone it,' but Phoebe had already marched upstairs. The mom quickly followed her upstairs to try and repair the situation - but Phoebe wasn't as eager for reconciliation as Melinda had thought she would be. Melinda went up to apologize and had asked her daughter for at least a hug, but Phoebe refused. 'I had to learn that no from her, that putting her hand up saying, "no, mom," she needed longer till she was ready to repair and maybe what I wanted, she wasn't ready for and it,' Melinda said. 'We all repair or get over emotions at different rates and just because I'm ready doesn't mean she's ready and of course as I look back, I was also the one in the position of power.' Elizabeth then asked Melinda if the reason she wanted to patch things up so quickly - or at least sooner than her did - was because she was uncomfortable with people being mad at her. But Melinda said that that wasn't the case. 'I worked at Microsoft for nine years,' she said. 'People were mad all the time.' Instead, she explained that it was because she knew she had overstepped, even as a parent. But the situation, as well as one that happened a few years after where the two fought again, reinforced the idea that everyone needed their own time to be ready for repair in relationships. 'We learned from that and she also learned boundaries,' she said.

Australia cancels rapper Ye's visa over 'Heil Hitler' release
Ye, the U.S. rapper formerly known as Kanye West, was recently stripped of an Australian visa after he released his single 'Heil Hitler,' a government minister said on Wednesday. Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke revealed Ye has been traveling for years to Australia, where his wife of three years, Bianca Censori, was born. Her family live in Melbourne. Burke said 'Heil Hitler,' released in May, promoted Nazism. The song has been criticized as an antisemitic tribute to German dictator Adolf Hitler. 'He's been coming to Australia for a long time. He's got family here. And he's made a lot of offensive comments that my officials looked at again once he released the 'Heil Hitler' song and he no longer has a valid visa in Australia,' Burke told Australian Broadcasting Corp. 'We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry,' Burke added. Ye's representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday. Australia's Migration Act sets security and character requirements for non-citizens to enter the country. Australia's largest cities, Sydney and Melbourne, have seen a spate of antisemitic attacks since the war between Israel and Hamas began on Oct. 7, 2023.
