Perry recently wrapped a four-show stint in Adelaide, Australia, which capped nearly four weeks of performing in the island country, as she ended her concert emotionally following a highly publicized split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom. "Thank you for always being there for me, Australia; it means the world," a teary-eyed Perry told the crowd as her 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove's vocals on her "143" album-closing track "Wonder" rang out in the arena. Legendary The Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson's cause of death has been confirmed. Wilson's death at the age of 82 was confirmed by his family on 11 June. His children wrote at the time: 'We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy.' The surviving members of The Beach Boys paid their respects through a joint statement, with Mike Love saying that 'the world lost a genius.' 'Brian Wilson wasn't just the heart of The Beach Boys—he was the soul of our sound,' he posted. 'From the first time we sang together as kids in my living room, I knew there was something otherworldly in him.' Last year, Wilson's family revealed that the singer was suffering from dementia. His longtime representatives - LeeAnn Hard, his business manager, and Jean Sievers, his longtime publicist - were appointed as his co-conservators. Wilson, whose genius for melody and arrangements inspired hits like 'Good Vibrations' and 'California Girls', was voted alongside The Beach Boys into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. The Beach Boys' 1966 album 'Pet Sounds' was voted Number 2 in a 2003 Rolling Stone list of the Best 500 Albums Of All Time, with Paul McCartney citing the album as a direct inspiration on the Beatles and the ballad 'God Only Knows' as among his favourite songs.

Beach Boys star Brian Wilson's cause of death has been revealed after the last surviving brother from the iconic band died aged 82. Formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961, the original line-up of the American rock band included brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. Wilson's family announced his death earlier this month, after he had been living with a neurocognitive disorder, believed to be dementia. The iconic bandmember reportedly died from respiratory arrest, which occurs when the heart is still beating but the lungs stop functioning, according to a death certificate seen by TMZ. The certificate is also said to list a series of other health issues Wilson was suffering from when he died, including sepsis and cystitis. Other conditions reportedly listed were neurodegenerative disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic respiratory failure and chronic kidney disease. The Beach Boys were once of the most commercially successful bands of all time, selling more than 100 million records globally. Originally established as a garage band focused on Wilson's songwriting and managed by their father Murry Wilson, the Beach Boys had their first national hit in 1963 with the hit song Surfin' USA. Rolling Stone Keith Richards posting an an extract of his 2010 memoir, Life, about Wilson on Instagram with the caption 'Rest in Peace!'. Sting paid tribute during a gig in Germany, for which he performed a rendition of God Only Knows. Sir Elton John said: 'I grew to love him as a person, and for me, he was the biggest influence on my songwriting ever; he was a musical genius and revolutionary. He changed the goalposts when it came to writing songs and shaped music forever. A true giant.' Bob Dylan also shared a message, writing on X: 'Heard the sad news about Brian today and thought about all the years I've been listening to him and admiring his genius. Rest in peace dear Brian.' Wilson's family announced his death with a post of a photo of him sitting on a park bench in recent years. They wrote: 'We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. 'We are at a loss for words right now. The California Girls singer has been spotted several times with her daughter while touring Australia this month. Meanwhile, Bloom has made multiple solo public appearances, including a stop at the Tribeca Film Festival to promote an upcoming film. Rumours of a breakup started to intensify when the former couple rented out their $30 million mansion in Montecito, California, to Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. The insider close to the couple said Perry and Bloom always lived in their second Montecito home as their primary residence; however, the pair had intended to establish the rented mansion as 'their family home' before the situation changed. They added that Perry and Bloom have 'been living apart since Katy has been on tour.' This news follows reports that Bloom will attend the controversial wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Venice solo, where he will make his 'single man' debut, according to TMZ. Another source told The Sun that the couple decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, as they were desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter. 'But they have spent barely any time together this year, with Katy on tour and Orlando working on his upcoming film Bucking Fastard in Dublin,' the source said. The source claims that Perry knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message. 'It's been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.'
