Malayalam director Lijo JoSe Pellissery issued a statement addressing actor Joju George's claims over non-payment of dues for his cameo in 'Churuli'. In a note on Facebook, the filmmaker shared the proof of his payment to Joju George and explained that the film still hasn't been released in theatres because of the A certificate given to it by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC).advertisementWritten in Malayalam, his Facebook post read, "To my dear Joju, this clarification is being issued considering the disappointment caused to our producer friends." He mentioned that the film has an A certificate and still hasn't seen the light of the day, as he attached the proof of the a look: Stating that there is a High Court order against the film regarding its use of explicit dialogue, he also emphasised that none of them associated with 'Churuli' misled Joju George during the film's 'Malaikottai Vaaliban' director also clarified that "I don't remember anyone misleading Joju during the film. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana is hands-down the most awaited movie of Indian cinema. The two-part magnificent epic saga is currently in production under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari. Ever since the movie went on the floors, fans have been eagerly waiting for its official announcement video. And now, we have learnt something exciting about the same. Ramayana 3D official announcement video gets censored again, runtime revealed Producer Namit Malhotra had submitted a fresh video asset of Ramayana 3D to get it censored. According to reports, the new censored promo is the official title announcement video, which has a runtime of 3 minutes. The promo has received a 'U' certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This 'U' censor certificate indicates that the video asset is unrestricted for all age groups, and everyone can watch it. The new announcement video is expected to have the first official glimpses of the lead star cast, which includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Interestingly, the promotional asset might not include Sunny Deol's footage as Lord Hanuman, as the actor is yet to begin his shoot. However, there is a little possibility that his look test might be used in the newly censored promo. The official release date of the Ramayana 3D promo is yet to be decided. It will be interesting to see whether the makers release it in the coming couple of weeks or wait until the auspicious festivals of Dussehra and Diwali 2025. 'Unreleased' Ramayana 3D announcement video This is the second time that a Ramayana announcement video has been censored. The earlier announcement promo, which was censored to a duration of 2 minutes and 26 seconds, remained unreleased. The makers of Ramayana had plans to release the official announcement video during WAVES 2025 in the first week of May. However, producer Namit Malhotra had decided to call it off later. For the unversed, Ramayana Part One is slated to hit the screens on Diwali 2026, while its concluding installment will release on Diwali 2027. In addition to the already mentioned lead star cast, the movie boasts an ensemble of supremely talented actors, including Kajal Aggarwal, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chaddha, Ravi Dubey, Adinath Kothare, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet, and many others.

Kuberaa: Dhanush's Film Gets U/A Certificate From CBFC

New Delhi: The Censor Board of Film Certification has officially cleared the trimmed version of Sekhar Kammula's highly anticipated film Kuberaa with a U/A certificate. What Starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film will now release with a revised runtime of 181 minutes - or three hours and one minute. Earlier, the Censor Board had cleared a longer cut of Kuberaa with a runtime of three hours and 15 minutes. However, the makers had stated in an interview that the early clearance was sought to avoid last-minute complications and that they planned to trim the final version to under three hours. The updated cut now stands at just over three hours, clocking in at 181 minutes. Background Speaking about his experience on the film, Dhanush said, "I heard I had to stand in the sun. I had to do a lot of those are lies...I just had to follow my director. Sekhar sir was brilliant. He taught me the nuances. He made life very easy for me. It is a very different character from what I have played before and I enjoyed the challenge." Calling Kuberaa a special project, Dhanush added, "It was a fantastic experience shooting for this film. We shot in dumpyards and garbage trucks. Every experience teaches you something." Apart from Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in important roles. This marks the first collaboration between National Award-winning actor Dhanush and acclaimed director Sekhar Kammula. On the technical side, the film's music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Cinematography is by Niketh Bommi, while Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre serve as production designers. The film is co-written by Chaithanya Pingali, with costumes designed by Kavya Sriram and Poorvaa Jain. Kuberaa is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas. Taking to his timeline on X on Thursday, Santhanam announced, "#DevilsDoubleNextLevel censored U/A. #DevilsDoubleNextLevelFromMay16" The film, which is the next instalment in the hugely successful Dhillukku Duddu (DD) franchise, is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on May 16 this year. Selvaraghavan says that if Santhanam comes, it will serve as a promotion for the film being screened. Santhanam goes to the theatre that appears desolate. On entering its premises, he is teleported to the story of the film that is being screened. Selvaraghavan laughs and tells him, "Review? How many films you would have made a mockery of? Let us now see you review the film while being a part of it." Soon, the reviewer meets a number of characters in the film including Gautham Menon, who plays Raghavan an investigation officer, and Redin Kingsly and tries to tell them all that they are only acting in a film. However, all characters have no recollection of who they are in the real world and believe that the characters they are portraying in the film is their true self. The only person, who, apart from Santhanam, knows that they are all in a film is Motta Rajendran, who keeps cracking jokes at regular intervals. Santhanam and Motta Rajendran realise that they are in a film that belongs to the horror genre and before long, they find out that they are in an island that is filled with dark and mysterious developments.... Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People, on a huge budget, the film is being presented by actor Arya. Director Prem Anand, while speaking about the film earlier, had said, "DD Returns was a huge success with great response from the audience from all walks of life. We worked on the script of its sequel for one year. From children to adults, everyone will laugh and enjoy this flick too." Dipak Kumar Padhy has handled the cinematography of 'DD Next Level', and Ofro has scored its music. Bharath is in charge of editing and AR Mohan has handled the film's art direction.
