A trailer of the film, which was recently released, shows Selvaraghavan, who plays the devil in the film, inviting Santhanam, a film reviewer, to watch a special show of a film at a theatre he owns. Selvaraghavan says that if Santhanam comes, it will serve as a promotion for the film being screened. Santhanam goes to the theatre that appears desolate. On entering its premises, he is teleported to the story of the film that is being screened.
Selvaraghavan laughs and tells him, "Review? How many films you would have made a mockery of? Let us now see you review the film while being a part of it."
Soon, the reviewer meets a number of characters in the film including Gautham Menon, who plays Raghavan an investigation officer, and Redin Kingsly and tries to tell them all that they are only acting in a film.
However, all characters have no recollection of who they are in the real world and believe that the characters they are portraying in the film is their true self.
The only person, who, apart from Santhanam, knows that they are all in a film is Motta Rajendran, who keeps cracking jokes at regular intervals.
Santhanam and Motta Rajendran realise that they are in a film that belongs to the horror genre and before long, they find out that they are in an island that is filled with dark and mysterious developments....
Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People, on a huge budget, the film is being presented by actor Arya.
Director Prem Anand, while speaking about the film earlier, had said, "DD Returns was a huge success with great response from the audience from all walks of life. We worked on the script of its sequel for one year. From children to adults, everyone will laugh and enjoy this flick too."
Dipak Kumar Padhy has handled the cinematography of 'DD Next Level', and Ofro has scored its music. Bharath is in charge of editing and AR Mohan has handled the film's art direction.

She outearned top Bollywood stars, met a Hollywood hearthrob but grandmother's decision led to lonely death

Suraiya was one of the biggest stars of Bollywood's golden era, earning more than legends like Dilip Kumar and Ashok Kumar. A gifted singer and actress, she captivated audiences and even caught the attention of Hollywood icon Gregory Peck, who visited her during a trip to India. Her relationship with actor Dev Anand ended after her grandmother disapproved of their marriage. Suraiya never married, stepped away from films at just 34, and spent the rest of her life in solitude. She died in 2004, remembered as a star who gave up everything but remained unforgettable. Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads A Hollywood Encounter That Made Headlines Love, Defiance, and Heartbreak Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads Early Exit from Fame and a Lonely End In the golden era of Hindi cinema, when male superstars ruled the industry, Suraiya emerged as a rare female icon who eclipsed even the biggest names of her time. During the late 1940s and early 1950s, she commanded higher fees than legends like Dilip Kumar and Ashok Kumar, earning her the reputation of being the highest-paid actress of her generation. Known for her graceful screen presence and soulful voice, she was referred to as Malika-e-Husn (queen of beauty) and Malika-e-Adakara (queen of acting).Suraiya didn't set out to become an actor. Born in Lahore in 1929 and raised in Bombay, she was introduced to the film world at a young age thanks to her maternal uncle, actor M. Zahoor. She first gained attention as a child singer on All India Radio, which led to her playback debut at the age of 12. Her acting career began by chance when she was cast as young Mumtaz Mahal in the film Taj Mahal (1941). From there, she became a household name with hits like Pyar Ki Jeet (1948), Badi Behen (1949), and Dillagi (1949).In 1952, Suraiya's popularity crossed international borders. When Hollywood director Frank Capra visited India for the first International Film Festival, Suraiya gave him a signed photograph for actor Gregory Peck, whom she deeply admired. Much to her surprise, Peck later visited her home in Mumbai. The two chatted for over an hour, and their meeting became fodder for headlines, with the media fueling speculation about a budding romance. Though the rumors were unfounded, the encounter added a new chapter to Suraiya's already star-studded most talked-about relationship was with Dev Anand, a rising star at the time. Their love story began on a film set and quickly turned serious. Dev Anand even proposed to her, buying a diamond ring despite financial constraints. However, their relationship faced fierce opposition from Suraiya's maternal grandmother due to religious differences. Her grandmother not only rejected the match but went so far as to throw the engagement ring into the sea and demand romantic scenes between the two be removed from Dev Anand's willingness to leave the industry to be with her, Suraiya ultimately ended the relationship. She later admitted she lacked the courage to go against her family, even as she continued to carry the emotional weight of that decision throughout her life. She never breakup with Dev Anand marked a turning point in both her personal and professional life. Her subsequent films underperformed, and despite a brief comeback with Mirza Ghalib (1954)—a role praised even by Jawaharlal Nehru—her film Rustam Sohrab (1964) flopped. Disheartened, Suraiya chose to retire from the industry at just remained away from the limelight and lived with her mother until her passing. After her mother's death, Suraiya became increasingly isolated. She made no public appearances, never returned to playback singing or acting, and stayed out of media attention entirely. She passed away in 2004 at the age of 74 due to chronic health her life ended in solitude, Suraiya's legacy as a pioneer for women in Indian cinema remains unmatched. At a time when few actresses had bargaining power, she stood as a figure of strength and success.

Karan Johar on being trolled: ‘Thank God they're not indifferent, I must be relevant'

In an age where celebrities are constantly under scrutiny, Karan Johar has offered a refreshingly different perspective on internet trolling. In a recent interview, the filmmaker opened up about how he handles the constant barrage of online hate, and why he chooses to view it as a strange form of validation. 'Love and hate are both forms of appreciation' Karan , who directed last year's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, said that while being attacked online can be emotionally taxing, he chooses to see the silver lining. 'The good thing about being trolled or attacked is that, thank God, they are not being indifferent. I think love and hate are both forms of appreciation,' he explained. He added that silence or apathy would hurt more. 'Imagine if you've done something and no one is talking about it. That is the worst feeling,' he told Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story. Known for his flamboyant fashion and unfiltered opinions, Karan has often found himself in the eye of online storms. But instead of shying away, he's decided to wear it as a badge of honour. 'Even if they're b**ching about what I'm saying, what I'm wearing, or what I'm doing, I think to myself—I must really annoy people. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Uber luxury living at Hyderabad's billionaire junction Sumadhura Group Learn More Undo And then I'm like, how fabulous is that?' he said with a laugh. UK police say performances at Glastonbury Festival are subject to criminal investigation

AP file photo LONDON: UK police announced Monday that the weekend performances by rap punk duo Bob Vylan and Irish-language band Kneecap at the Glastonbury Festival are subject to a criminal investigation after they led crowds in chants calling for "death" to the Israeli military and chants of "Free Palestine. " Police said the performances at the UK's largest summer music festival "have been recorded as a public order incident." Meanwhile, the US State Department said it has revoked the US visas for Bob Vylan after their "hateful tirade at Glastonbury." Rapper Bobby Vylan, who until the weekend was relatively little known, led crowds in chants of "free, free Palestine" and "death, death to the IDF," the Israel Defense Forces. The BBC said it regretted livestreaming the performance. "The antisemitic sentiments expressed by Bob Vylan were utterly unacceptable and have no place on our airwaves," it said, adding that it "respects freedom of expression but stands firmly against incitement to violence." British prime minister Keir Starmer and UK politicians condemned the chants, saying there was no excuse for such "appalling hate speech." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 모공각화증, 이제는 만지지말고 집에서 이렇게 해보세요 현명한소비자 Undo "Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country," US deputy secretary of state Christopher Landau said in a social media post. Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza has inflamed tensions around the world, triggering pro-Palestinian protests in many capitals and on college campuses. Israel and some supporters have described the protests as antisemitic, while critics say Israel uses such descriptions to silence opponents. Starmer said the BBC must explain "how these scenes came to be broadcast." Ofcom, the broadcasting regulator, said it was "very concerned" about the BBC livestream and said the broadcaster "clearly has questions to answer." The BBC said earlier in its defense that it had issued a warning on screen about "very strong and discriminatory language" during the livestream. The Israeli Embassy to the UK said over the weekend it was "deeply disturbed by the inflammatory and hateful rhetoric expressed on stage at the Glastonbury Festival." Bob Vylan, which formed in 2017, have released four albums mixing punk, grime and other styles with lyrics that often address issues including racism, masculinity and politics. Its two members keep their real names secret for privacy reasons. In a statement posted on social media, singer Bobby Vylan said he was inundated with messages of both support and hatred. "Teaching our children to speak up for the change they want and need is the only way that we make this world a better place," he wrote. The duo played Saturday afternoon right before Kneecap, another band that has drawn controversy over its stance on Middle East politics. Kneecap led a huge crowd in chants of "Free Palestine" at the festival. They also aimed an expletive-laden chant at Starmer, who has said he didn't think it was "appropriate" for Kneecap to play Glastonbury after one of its members was charged under the Terrorism Act. Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, was charged with supporting a proscribed organization for allegedly waving a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London last year. The acts were among among 4,000 that performed in front of some 200,000 music fans this year at the festival in southwest England. Israel has faced heavy international criticism for its war conduct in Gaza. In May, the UK, France and Canada issued a sharply worded statement calling for Israel to stop its "egregious" military actions in Gaza and criticizing Israel's actions in the occupied West Bank. More than 6,000 people have been killed and more than 20,000 injured in Gaza since Israel ended a ceasefire in March. Since the war began in October 2023 with a Hamas attack on Israel, Israeli attacks have killed more than 56,000 people and injured 132,000, according to Gaza's health ministry. It doesn't distinguish between civilians and combatants, but has said that women and children make up more than half the dead. Israel says it only targets militants and blames civilian deaths on Hamas, accusing the militants of hiding among civilians, because they operate in populated areas.
