1,500 in run highlighting vegetarianism, environmental sustainability

Organised by Fo Guang, the Seremban branch of the Buddha's Light International Association Malaysia (BLIA), the non-competitive event drew participants of all ages and backgrounds for a morning dedicated to active wellness. BLIA Malaysia Seremban branch chairman Andy Hoi said the event not only provided an excellent platform for physical activity but also reinforced the importance of vegetarianism and environmental awareness. 'At BLIA, we believe in the power of community and wellness. VegRun 2025 is about building a healthier and more united society, one step at a time. 'We're proud to be part of this meaningful movement,' he said, adding that this year's event exceeded expectations with a record turnout. The event was held at the d'Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan with property developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (Matrix Concepts) as the main partner and venue sponsor. Hoi said the strong support of Matrix Concepts reflected their shared commitment to community well-being, sustainability and fostering a healthier, more connected society. Matrix Concepts' involvement in the event, said executive director Kelvin Lee, reflected the group's commitment to support such initiatives. 'At Matrix Concepts, we believe vibrant communities are built on healthy lifestyles and a shared sense of environmental responsibility. 'Supporting VegRun reflects our dedication to sustainability and to bringing people together for a greater purpose.
