Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure reflected on the timeless nature of motherhood as she drew parallels between her personal life and her role as Rajmata in 'Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.' Speaking about her bond with her son Priyaank, she shared that even though he is now grown up, the maternal emotions remain as strong as ever. Kolhapure shared, 'Portraying Rajmata has been one of the most emotionally enriching experiences for me. There's something incredibly powerful about a mother who is also a queen, someone who must balance the weight of the crown with the warmth of her embrace.' 'As I live and breathe Rajmata on screen, I often find myself drawing parallels to my own life as a mother. The protective instinct, the fierce love, the sacrifices, you start realizing how universal and timeless these emotions are. Even though my son is grown up now, the maternal emotions never really fade. They evolve. This role reminded me of those early days, guiding, nurturing, sometimes worrying, but always loving. It has brought me closer to my own journey in ways I hadn't anticipated. Rajmata's strength lies in her softness, and I think that's something every mother can relate to.' Padmini Kolhapure made a grand return to television after 11 years with the historical drama 'Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.' She had previously expressed her excitement on returning to television saying she felt an instant connection with the character of Rajmata. The veteran actress had shared, 'Stepping into the world of Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan is incredibly special for me, not just because of the powerful role I'm playing, but also because it marks my return to television after almost 11 years. My journey on television began with Sony Entertainment Television, and now, after all these years, I'm returning to the same channel with a role that is both challenging and fulfilling.' The show also stars Anuja Sathe, Ronit Roy, and Rumi Khan. It premieres Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television.

Also Read: Ronit Roy says he was forced to start security agency due to 'hunger, poverty': 'My life went into gutter, I started drinking' A post shared by Sony Entertainment Television (@sonytvofficial) Talking about his comeback on TV, Ronit Roy said, 'The reason for such a long gap in television is obviously because I do films and OTT as well, and I was busy with my other work. Nothing was interesting. When this came up, the producer is a friend and an old colleague, and I did a show called Adaalat with the channel for five years. Luckily, this wasn't a role where there were too many challenges; only some physical effort was needed to look like a warrior and be able to wield a heavy sword, so I took training for that.' Ronit also discussed how TV content has been going downhill for a while now. 'TV has been in a downward spiral for a very long time now, obviously when new mediums come in, viewership gets divided, and now people's viewing habits have changed. They want to watch content on the go, so traditional TV has been on the decline. We could do a little uptick in the content itself, a time will come where there will be a finite long long-running series of 50-80 episodes where the storyline is clear. The actors will also have a sense of where they are going; when that time comes, it will be a good one,' he said. Confirming that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is indeed returning, Ronit said he has some very fond memories from the show. Talking about his co-star Smriti Irani, Ronit shared, 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is coming back. I wish the makers, cast, and crew of this season all the very best. I have very fond memories attached to this show, Balaji was like home ground for me. It was a game-changer in my career. Smriti is one of my favorite colleagues and is like my little sister. It was a very warm relationship and remains so to date.' On the film front, Ronit will be next seen in Maa alongside Kajol. Talking about the film he said, 'Maa is releasing on 27th of this month, it was an amazing experience to work with Ajay Devgn's production, the icing on the cake was working and spending time with Kajol on the sets. She is a truly amazing human being and an amazing actor, there was lots to learn from her. Her energy levels, her recuperance, and sense of humor are all very lit.' On his latest show, Ronit Roy plays the role of King Someshwar, the show airs on Sony TV every Monday to Friday at 7:30 pm. Exclusive- Ronit Roy details the upcoming track of Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, says 'Someshwar is training his son to become a warrior, not to become a king'
Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, television's grand historical epic, continues to captivate audiences with tremendous storytelling, grand visuals, and strong performances. The show recounts the extraordinary journey of one of India's most legendary monarchs. The show recently witnessed a historic moment: King Someshwar's Rajya Abhishek. Ronit Roy exclusively detailed the track with Times Of India TV. Here's what he shared: Ronit quipped, "We know that the elder brother of King Abhijit Nair has passed away, and he's crowned Someshwar, the next king. And, of course, the king's son wanted to be crowned. That's why he killed his father. And that didn't happen. So, the mother, of course, is in cohorts with him, and she wants the son to ascend the throne." He shared details about the upcoming track, "The further drama is that. Now, what will happen? So, in the process, Someshwar is training his son Prithviraj to become a warrior, not to become a king. To become a good ruler and, you know, become a good human being. And, of course, there is always the imminent danger of the Gurids attacking. So, all the drama is being played out over the next week or so." When asked about playing a king on TV, what makes Historical drama different from the daily soap, "So, I mean, it's like playing any other character. It's not much different. And, of course, you know, you feel different because you are wearing clothes that you would not normally wear on a regular day. So, that's the difference. The look is different. The setting is different. But apart from that, playing this character or playing any other character, there is not much difference in terms of building a character.
