Paul Hogan has revealed his plans to return to Australia before he dies. The 85-year-old actor, who has been based in Los Angeles since the 1990s, told 7NEWS on Monday that he wants to spend his final moments in his home country. The star says he wishes to return to Australia 'as soon as he possibly can' and even has plans to have his ashes scattered in Sydney. 'I want to die here. I am antique now, time just slips away,' Hogan said with a wry laugh. 'I want my ashes scattered off the Harbour Bridge. Put that in my will,' he added. Paul returned Down Under in May for a month-long holiday, amid reports he's moving home for good. The iconic actor has expressed that he stays stateside to care for his son, Chance, 27. Hogan told 7NEWS on Monday that he is remaining in the USA for the time being, in order to support Chance, whom he referred to as his 'troubled son,' in his career. 'He's still trying to build his career up, and as soon as he does I will be back here,' Hogan explained. 'Unless he comes with me, I will be back sooner,' he added. Paul shares son Chance with second wife Linda Kozlowski, who was his Crocodile Dundee co-star. According to a recent report, Hogan may soon return home, with his son's blessing. 'Paul felt healthier than he had in months, and even Chance agreed that Australia had been good for them both,' an alleged source told New Idea. 'Chance has long known he's the reason why Paul remains in the States,' they continued. 'But this recent trip was a wake-up call. He can see how important it is for his dad to spend his twilight years on home turf. He now believes it will extend his life.' Chance has been living with his father in LA since his parents' divorce in 2014 after 24 years of marriage. Hogan recently shared details of his relationship with his wayward son. The 85-year-old actor arrived at Sydney Airport for a departing flight and gave a cheerful thumbs up to onlookers as he made his way inside the terminal. 'They pointed out to me and said, "This guy is a folk hero around the world, and he shouldn't be groping people."' 'And I thought, "Yeah that's right, he shouldn't be." So take it out. I mean, he did it in all innocence, in naivety, but it's better without it.' Paul went on to say that the re-edited version of Crocodile Dundee 'went through the roof' when it landed a G rating in the UK and played for a pre-watershed audience.

But their home in the village-like city isn't the only residence of Linda's, since the retired actress appears to have spent her one-off payment of $6.25 million in her divorce settlement on becoming a property tycoon. The brunette has bought three Venice Beachfront properties, which is dubbed Silicon Beach for the tech-CEOs it attracts. She's even earned the title of the Queen of Silicon Beach after having sold one home for $1.9 million in order to buy a $2 million home that she's now renting out. A neighbour told Daily Mail Australia in 2017: 'She has been really smart and made millions. She got a settlement from Paul of course and she's used it well. 'She's definitely her own woman now. Property prices have rocketed in Venice and she's rode the crest of a wave, no doubt about it.'
