Paul Hogan, 85, has a spring in his step and looks healthier following a long trip Down Under after arriving from the US in a wheelchair
The 85-year-old actor arrived at Sydney Airport for a departing flight and gave a cheerful thumbs up to onlookers as he made his way inside the terminal.
The beloved silver screen icon was looking immensely well and appeared to have gained some healthy weight during his time Down Under.
Paul wore an all-black ensemble including a dress shirt and matching jacket along with dark trousers.
He carried a leather sports bag and completed his look with a pair of comfortable black sneakers.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
Paul's face was a rosy, glowing hue and he wore a broad smile as he headed across the terminal to the departures area.
It was a far cry from how Hogan had arrived in Sydney from the USA last month.
At that time, he looked frail and exhausted, and was escorted from the terminal with the help of staff while sitting in a wheelchair.
With multiple airport personnel assisting him, Hogan was ushered outside to waiting transport.
Paul's return Down Under last month came amid reports he's moving home for good.
Chatter has increased that the star is planning to relocate home to Australia permanently.
Hogan has remained in the USA for decades, and has expressed that he stays stateside to care for his troubled son, Chance, 27.
However, according to a new report, Hogan has finally decided to return home with his son's blessing, after seeing how positive a trip Down Under was for his dad earlier this year.
'Paul felt healthier than he had in months, and even Chance agreed that Australia had been good for them both,' an alleged source told New Idea.
'Chance has long known he's the reason why Paul remains in the States,' they continued.
'But this recent trip was a wake-up call. He can see how important it is for his dad to spend his twilight years on home turf. He now believes it will extend his life.'
Chance has been living with his father in LA since his parents' divorce in 2014 after 24 years of marriage.
In November, troubling photos emerged of Chance buying beer and shuffling around Venice Beach back alleys, near the home he shares with his father.
The movie legend, who's originally from Sydney, left his home country behind following the success of the 1986 action-comedy film Crocodile Dundee.
Hogan shares son Chance with second wife Linda Kozlowski, who was his Crocodile Dundee co-star.
The actor made the move to settle with Linda in Los Angeles in the '90s.
He also has several children with former wife Noelene Edwards - sons Brett, Clay, Scott and daughter Lauren.
Hogan recently shared details on his relationship with his wayward son.
The Crocodile Dundee star was chatting to Today show entertainment editor Richard Wilkins about a new cut of the iconic film.
'Hoges' admitted he would love to make a permanent move back Down Under, but he is staying stateside for his youngest son Chance.
'It's where I belong,' he replied when asked what it was like to be back in Australia to promote the film.
The Nine host then pressed the star on if and when he would like to relocate to Australia, to which he replied: 'Oh, tomorrow.'
However for the time being he needs to remain in Los Angeles.
'I have business reasons and my son to stay in the States for now,' he said.
When asked for an update on the condition of his troubled son he said: 'Alright. Better than he gets.
'He gets a lot of tabloid stuff, but he's a terrible person because he knows they're watching him and he puts something on for them.'
Chance sparked concern for his welfare back in January.
He shared concerning videos to his Instagram Stories in which he was drinking wine and slurring his words as he sat at a table in public.
'This is my life. This is what it's been reduced to,' Chance slurred as he took sips from his wine glass.
The camera he angled toward his face and his laptop wobbled as he struggled to hold it steady while he spoke.
Hogan made a rare public appearance in January as he walked the red carpet at the premiere of the 'encore cut' of the 1986 cult classic Crocodile Dundee.
Paul shot to fame in the '80s when he portrayed Mick 'Crocodile' Dundee in the classic outback adventure franchise which boasted three films.
The star was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance.
A new 'encore cut' was shown at the OpenAir Cinema in Sydney 's Royal Botanic Gardens, which saw two minutes of insensitive material cut from the original movie.
The rehashed film was recently slammed by viewers who dubbed it 'bloody woke crap' after some of the more famous scenes were cut for a modern audience.
However, Paul revealed during the premiere that he 'totally' agreed with the changes made in the encore cut, and insisted it 'wasn't about being woke'.
He told The Courier Mail: 'I heard about it [the edit] years ago, it started, and it wasn't about being woke.
'They pointed out to me and said, "This guy is a folk hero around the world, and he shouldn't be groping people."'
'And I thought, "Yeah that's right, he shouldn't be." So take it out. I mean, he did it in all innocence, in naivety, but it's better without it.'
Paul went on to say that the re-edited version of Crocodile Dundee 'went through the roof' when it landed a G rating in the UK and played for a pre-watershed audience.

EXCLUSIVE Dakota Johnson has flirty exchange with mystery man on Ibiza yacht after Chris Martin split
Dakota Johnson put on a flirty exchange with a mystery man as she spent time on a star-studded yacht in Ibiza this week. The Materialists actress, 35 - who has been enjoying her new single life following her split from Chris Martin - joined other celebrities on the spacious boat, including BFF Kate Hudson and Tom Brady. Just one month earlier, it was reported that Johnson and the Coldplay frontman had officially separated after eight years together. At one point during the relaxing day, the beauty was seen resting under a shady area on the yacht as she conversed with another guest. The mystery man - who went shirtless and wrapped a towel around his waist - approached the star as she flashed a small smile on her face. Dakota was then seen placing her hand on his muscular bicep before he took a seat next to the Hollywood actress. She was also seen leaning on the handsome brunette while enjoying a sun-filled day The pair were later spotted spending time at another side of the yacht as the star made her way up a set of stairs. He donned a black life vest as they held a conversation while also looking out at the scenic views. Johnson wowed wearing a skimpy black bikini top as well as matching drawstring bottoms. A black cap was placed on top of her brunette locks that flowed down past her shoulders in natural waves. Just a few days earlier on Wednesday, the star was also spotted mingling with the same male friend during her getaway to Ibiza, Spain. The pair strolled side-by-side as Dakota showcased her toned figure in a white bikini top as well as a floral skirt. She completed the ensemble by adding a hat on top of her head and slipped into a pair of black flats, while the mystery man kept it casual in a white shirt as well as black shorts. Last month in June, it was reported that the Hollywood actress and Coldplay frontman had officially called it quits after eight years of dating. Just a few days earlier on Wednesday, the star was also spotted mingling with the same male friend during her getaway to Ibiza, Spain The pair were later spotted spending time at another side of the yacht as the star made her way up a set of stairs A source told at the time: 'Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out to make it official. 'Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.' The insider continued, 'Breakups aren't instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder. 'But then they'd get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren't right for each other anymore.' They added that Johnson 'is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.' Martin is dad to Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, whom he shares with ex-wife and fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow. While the source noted that the exes could potentially rekindle their romance, they said 'right now, being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.' However, a separate insider recently told that Dakota's mom Melanie Griffith believes the breakup was a 'huge mistake.' 'Melanie is desperately working behind the scenes to save Dakota's strained relationship with Chris. 'She's convinced that they are meant to be together and isn't giving up on them. She thinks her daughter is making a huge mistake and needs to meet Chris halfway. Melanie has always felt a kinship with Chris, he's like a son to her.' During a Coldplay performance last month in Las Vegas, Chris sparked speculation that both he and Johnson could rekindle their romance. In a clip shared by DeuxMoi at the time, Martin gave a shoutout to his fans and expressed, 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other. Don't forget to see Materialists! We love you!' The singer was referencing to the actress's latest movie which hit theaters in June - and also starred Pedro Pascal and Chris Martin. The person who had submitted the clip wrote, 'THEYRE NOT BROKEN UP,' but one fan pointed out, 'I can totally seeing him supporting her even after the break up.' During her latest yacht day, Dakota joined other A-list celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Tom Brady and Naomi Campbell in celebration of Saudi Arabian producer Mohammed Al Turki's birthday. Dakota received a hug from Hudson who stood directly behind her as the pair soaked up the summer sun, while the retired NFL quarterback lounged nearby. Kate wowed in a vibrant blue bikini and completed her look with a black cap and fashionable shades. Brady was another celebrity on board the lavish yacht in Ibiza over the weekend - fresh off his trip to Venice to attend the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. The sports star showed off her sculpted physique as he went shirtless under the bright sun and sported a pair of black swim trunks. And Campbell brought along her little one while opting for a white bikini top as well as a pair of patterned bottoms and a sheer white coverup.

'Even though we played each other's nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together,' Ioan continued. 'Every encounter with him was a joy. It was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom. My heart goes out to his wife and family. God speed Julian.' 'We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories, she added in her statement obtained by Deadline. The talented actor was best known for his role as Dr. Christian Troy on the FX series Nip/Tuck. He starred alongside Dylan Walsh who portrayed Sean McNamara in the campy medical drama which ran for six seasons from 2003 to 2010. The star was even nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Television Series in 2004 where he was bested by Ian McShane for his role in HBO series Deadwood. Julian later starred as Jess LaCroix on the CBS series FBI: Most Wanted beginning 2020 but made a surprise exit in March 2022 after three seasons. He previously made his name on Australian television soap opera Home & Away in which he starred as main star Ben Lucini from 1990 to 1991. The actor went on to star as Detective John Grant in American crime drama Profiler from 1996 to 2000. He then won the hearts of many as he portrayed Cole Turner in Charmed seasons 3 through 5 from 2000 to 2003 before returning as a guest for season 7 in 2005. The Sydney, Australia native also had success on the big screen as he starred as iconic supervillain Dr. Doom in two Marvel movies Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007). He also starred alongside Sandra Bullock in 2007 supernatural psychological thriller Premonition. Julian and wife Kelly had been together for 11 years before marrying in a romantic ceremony in Lake Tahoe, a lakeside area on the edge of California and Nevada, in 2014. It was his third marriage. Julian was previously married to model and Baywatch actress Brooke Burns from 1999 to 2001 as they share 25-year-old daughter Madison Elizabeth McMahon together. He also was famously married to Australian singer and TV personality Dannii Minogue from 1994 to 1995. Julian also has ties to the government of Australia as he was the only son of Sir William McMahon, a former Prime Minister of Australia, who served from 1971 to 1972 and held office as the leader of the Liberal Party of Australia. He talked about his childhood in an interview with the Herald Sun in 2018 as he said: 'My Dad... was born in 1908. That's a very different time to what it was when he was raising me. 'He must have gone through a strange misunderstanding of how you were parented in 1908 versus how you parent in 1972; it would have been so conflicting. Also how you be a husband in that period of time would have been different. ' His final role was a bit of a full circle moment as he portrayed the Australian Prime Minister in Netflix murder mystery series The Residence.

Julian McMahon's death is a sad, dramatic end to a magnetic talent, whose star was on the rise again
The Australian-American actor Julian McMahon, who has died from cancer aged 56, had a long and accomplished career. Like many Australian actors, it began with a soap opera – McMahon played Ben Lucini in 150 episodes of Home and Away – but he soon broke free to pursue a more ambitious and challenging oeuvre. McMahon, the son of former prime minister Sir William 'Billy' McMahon, made a name for himself overseas through US television in his 30s. On supernatural drama Charmed he played Cole Turner, a half-human, half-demon assassin turned love interest for one of the witches he was hired to kill. McMahon took to the show's campy tone with aplomb, delivering lines like 'I'm going straight to hell, cause it's got to be a sin to look this good' with a twinkle in his eye. His next big role was in Ryan Murphy's drama Nip/Tuck, as the arrogant plastic surgeon Dr Christian Troy. In the early 2000s the show made headlines for its frank depiction of nudity and sex – the Guardian described McMahon's character as 'a vagina-seeking missile' – but it also showed his talent for bringing vulnerability to suave but damaged men. It was around this time McMahon became a favourite to succeed Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, but missed out to Daniel Craig – instead he landed the role of Victor Von Doom, AKA Doctor Doom, the supervillain of two Fantastic Four movies. Over the years McMahon left Hollywood for home to appear in various Australian features – among them Stephan Elliott's raucous 2018 comedy Swinging Safari, in which he played an attender of a 1970s key party, alongside Guy Pearce and his former sister-in-law Kylie Minogue, and the 2012 horror movie Bait, in which he played a robber in a supermarket that's been flooded by a tsunami and monstered by sharks. That film was a big hit overseas, where it became, in less than two weeks, the most successful Australian movie ever released in China. In a full circle move, he recently played the Australian prime minister in Netflix's comedy-mystery The Residence (again opposite Minogue). Despite his career being well into its third decade, there's a very sad feeling surrounding McMahon's death that his talent has been dramatically cut short; that his star was very much on the rise again. One of his last roles was opposite Nicolas Cage as the villain in Lorcan Finnegan's intensely trippy, sun-scorched thriller The Surfer, which premiered out of competition at last year's Cannes film festival. McMahon played Scally, the leader of a gang of violent hoodlums from a small coastal town who patrol the local beach and harass visitors. And what a performance it was. Not everybody can hold their own against an actor like Cage, but McMahon pulled it off perfectly, countering the star's off-the-wall style with a seething, magnetic portrait of toxic masculinity – darkly charismatic and creepy as all get-out. In one memorable scene, which you can watch on YouTube, McMahon slurps down a beer and implores Cage to 'drink deep, eat your fill, turn around from this town and never come back'. Throughout the film he projects a layered, paradoxically chummy kind of menace: calm and imperturbable, then, suddenly, explosively violent and unsettling. McMahon had amazingly bright and burning blue eyes, the colour of the sea. They were even more striking in person – I know because I was lucky enough to meet him on the set of The Surfer in Western Australia, where we chatted about this role and work ethic. On that day, McMahon was philosophical. 'You want to be open to new suggestions, new thoughts, new ideas, and new creativity, wherever that's coming from,' he told me. And he was funny, riffing on the something he may not have missed about his home country – the insects: 'Australian flies just come and sit on your face, and they'll stay there for an hour or two.' He is survived by his wife, Kelly Paniagua, and his daughter, Madison, from a previous marriage.
