THE Strictly Come Dancing 2025 launch is fast approaching - and if the rumoured line-up is anything to go by, fans are in for one of the best series yet. The reigning Strictly champ is comedian Chris McCausland, who lifted the Glitter Ball trophy last year with Dianne Buswell. 8 But this year names heavily tipped to take to the dancefloor include winners of huge shows such as Love Island and I'm a Celebrity, as well as an Olympic legend. Here's all the famous faces reported to be signing up for Strictly this year. Dani Dyer 8 It's already been a huge year for Dani, 28, after she tied the knot with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen. But Dani, the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, is in talks to waltz onto Strictly later this year, as The Sun revealed in June. The mum-of-three is no stranger to winning reality shows, after scooping the £50,000 Love Island prize with ex-boyfriend Jack Fincham in 2018. Stefan Dennis 8 Actor Stefan, 66, will show fans a very different side to him after The Sun revealed he's signed up for Strictly. The Neighbours legend has played Ramsay Street lothario Paul Robinson since the first episode in 1985. But, after the Australian soap filmed its final episode earlier this month, Stefan is free to explore other options. Vicky Pattison 8 She's been a permanent fixture on our screens since shooting to fame on Geordie Shore in 2011. And 37-year-old Vicky 's popularity among viewers was cemented when she won the 2015 series of I'm a Celebrity. Shirley Ballas reveals Strictly's new signings and teases line-up is 'off the charts' The Sun confirmed this month how Vicky had been offered a place in this year's line-up, and she previously told us - while she'd love to do the show - she'll struggle with the dances. Jake Brown 8 After winning series three of BBC smash The Traitors, Jake, 26, is set to put his best foot forward in the race for the Glitter Ball later this year. Balvinder Sopal Actress Balvinder, 46, has become a firm soap favourite since joining EastEnders as Suki Panesar in 2020. EastEnders stars have historically done very well on Strictly and The Sun recently told how Balvinder is set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jamie Borthwick, Kellie Bright and Jake Wood. A source said: 'EastEnders has been a happy hunting ground for Strictly bosses since the show first aired and they believe Balvinder will be a huge hit with fans. 'She's excited by the prospect, too, as she feels viewers will see a different side to her.' Sir Mo Farah Iconic Olympian Mo, 42, is no stranger to winning after receiving four gold medals during his career. He might be quick on his feet but there's no doubt the Quickstep will be a new challenge for Mo. And he's had already had a taste of reality TV, after coming fifth in I'm A Celebrity in 2020 when it filmed in Wales because of Covid. Earlier this year he was unveiled as Giant Joel on The Masked Singer. Angellica Bell Presenter Angellica, 49, has been entertaining the nation since joining CBBC in 2000. Since then she's enjoyed a successful broadcasting career and in 2017 she won Celebrity MasterChef. After her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year, Angellica is now in talks to show off what she can do on the Strictly dancefloor.

Strictly star Dianne Buswell supported by fans after sharing moving tribute to her grandfather
Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has been flooded with support after she announced the death of her grandfather on Sunday (6 July). The Australian ballroom dancer, who joined the BBC show in 2017, posted an emotional tribute to her 99-year-old 'pop' on Instagram. Buswell commented: 'Rest in peace pop. You were 99 years young. Thank you for all the stories and I just know you will be up there dancing with Nan already.' The 36-year-old won the show alongside the actor and comedian Chris McCausland in 2024, for which she was awarded with a Bafta earlier this year. The dancer's Instagram tribute shows a video of her dancing with her grandfather, after surprising him in Australia following the win. Recorded by the YouTuber Joe Sugg, Buswell's partner since 2018, the footage shows the two dancing together. Colleague Michelle Tsiakkas commented: "'I'm so sorry for your loss Di Sending you and your family all my love". Fellow Strictly star Nancy Xu posted: "D D Sending you all the love". Johannes Radebe, who has been a dancer on Strictly since 2018, wrote: 'So sorry Dianne Darling.' Spanish dancer and fellow Strictly star Gorka Marquez added: 'Sending love to you and the family.' In March, Buswell announced the death of her grandmother on social media, commenting: 'Rest in peace nan Love you very much. I'm so grateful I was home to say goodbye to such a special lady in my life. Now go be with pop he has been patiently waiting for you.' Buswell rose to fame in 2018 after she reached Strictly Come Dancing's final with the actor and model Bobby Jack Brazier, best known as Freddie Slater in EastEnders. Earlier this year, Buswell and McCausland announced that they are recording a podcast together. They shared the news on their respective Instagram grids, both posting a video of them having a laugh together and writing: 'Want more of this nonsense? Chris and Dianne are going to be hooking up for a weekly publicly available catch-up, otherwise known as a podcast.' Buswell previously revealed she had been told that she wouldn't make it far in the competition once she had been assigned McCausland. The ballroom star, 36, who won the last series of the BBC competition with comedian Chris McCausland, shared the devastating news today. 4 4 Dianne took to her Instagram with recent clips of her reuniting with her granddad following her successful stint on the show. In one heartwarming moment, Dianne surprised her grandad with a special visit in Australia. The 99-year-old was chuffed to see his granddaughter and called her a "champion" after her Glitterball win, as they held hands and swung them side-to-side. Sharing her heartbreak, Dianne wrote: "Rest in peace pop, you were 99 years young. Thank you for all the stories and I just know you will be up there dancing with Nan already." Dianne's fellow Strictly pals were quick to share messages of support. Nancy Xu wrote: " Sending you all the love," with a string of purple heart emojis. Pro dancer Michelle Tsiak posted: "I'm so sorry for your loss Di. Sending you and your family all my love." Vito Coppola shared a red heart and prayer emoji in the comment section. The sad loss comes just a weeks after Dianne's grandmother died. In March she shared a montage of clips with her late nan and wrote: "Rest in peace nan. Love you very much. I'm so grateful I was home to say goodbye to such a special lady in my life. Dianne has been open about her family and their health battles - including her dad's battle with cancer. In April 2024, she shared the happy news that her father Mark has finished chemotherapy in Australia after 12 rounds of treatment. She wrote at the time: "To my daddy you did it 6 months later and 12 rounds done. 'I am so so PROUD of you it's been a tough road but you have always done it with a smile and a thumbs up. I know you were scared and I know it was not easy but you have done it.' She continued: 'I wish so much I could be there right now and just cuddle you,' she penned. 'You're my hero and you have made me realise we all have so much more strength then we think. 'And to my beautiful mum who has not left your side and been the best support system ever thank you. Us kids are so lucky to have you both we love you so much. 'Now we need to book that trip in back to UK for the both of you.' Dianne first appeared on Dancing with the Stars in Australia in 2015. She then joined Strictly Come Dancing in the UK in 2017.
