Cindy Crawford jokes her daughter Kaia Gerber is 'traumatised' by her nude photoshoots and reveals she displayed them in her family home

Cindy Crawford has joked that her daughter Kaia Gerber is 'traumatised' by her nude photoshoots. The runway star, 59, was no stranger to a racy photoshoot in her 1980s modelling heyday and has posed nude countless times in her decades-long career. However, she has now revealed what her children Kaia, 23, and Presley, 26 - who she shares with her husband Rande Gerber - think of her nude photographs. Speaking on the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast, Cindy shared that she has some tasteful nude pictures of herself hung on the walls in her home. 'There were nude pictures of me in our house that I never explained to my kids,' she admitted. 'Once in a while, one of my kids will make a comment, like, ''we just thought it was normal that your mum was nude''...' 'There's a famous picture of me, Christy [Turlington], Naomi [Campbell], Linda [Evangelista], and Tatjana [Patitza],' she said of one piece of artwork in her home. 'You don't see anything - it wasn't like, hey, here's mum in all her glory! We didn't have those pictures out, but look, I'm sure my kids are traumatised - like every kid is.' Cindy said having a family changed her perspective on doing nude photoshoots and ditched the raunchy content before she tied the knot with Rande in 1998 aged 32. 'I did stop doing nudes before we got married. I don't really think I've done anything nude again,' she explained. 'And I've been asked afterwards, but I definitely thought: I don't know if my nine-year-old kid wants to get teased by his friends.' Though her decades-long career including a string of nude photographs, Cindy candidly admitted the one she regretted because she felt manipulated into doing it. 'Every experience is a lesson, and that's where we grow up - making those choices,' she said. 'I've done a tonne of nude pictures. The only one I regret ever is the one I got talked into. Every other one, I knew what I was doing. I did Playboy with Herb [Ritts] twice.' But sharing one occasion she looks back on differently, she added: 'I felt manipulated into it. That's the only one that I look at, and I was hurt.' 'It's not even the most revealing picture of me by far, but when I look at it, I know what I was feeling,' she explained. On the other hand, Cindy revealed she always felt 'comfortable' and '100 per cent safe' working with photographer Herb, who died of pneumonia aged 50 in 2002. 'Once you've done a naked picture, then people think, oh, she does nudes, but it's not that way. It has to be right. The chemistry has to be right,' she went on. 'I have to feel comfortable. With Herb, I felt 100% safe and not sexualised. He looked at people like architecture. So I could do it with him. 'I did it with straight guys too, but just certain people maybe give you a weird vibe, and I had one. And I just didn't know how to say no - or didn't say no.' Cindy is preparing to celebrate her 60th birthday in February and recently gave an insight into her self-care routine. She launched her skincare range Meaningful Beauty over 20 years ago with French doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh, and dished on her favourite products to maintain her flawless glow. 'When you feel good about yourself and feel confident, you hold your head a little higher and that's what people really see,' she told People, noting a key ingredient in the range is Charentais cantaloupe extract. Cindy said she swears by Meaningful Beauty's sun-protectant moisturizer, which has anti-aging properties. 'It melts into the skin, so it works great under makeup,' she explained of the winning formula. 'My goal is for women to be less overwhelmed by skincare. Our systems make it easy to get the best ingredients all in one place.' Cindy and Sebagh's range of skin-enhancing products debuted in 2004, and in 2021, expanded to include haircare items. An Instagram tagline describes the company as Cindy's 'breakthrough secret to younger looking skin and hair.' 'A lot of women don't really start taking care of their skin until they start noticing those signs of aging. I think that was the same for hair for me,' she told People at the time.

Hollyoaks legend's friends on show 'stopped talking to her' after she was axed

Former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has revealed a number of her co-stars cut contact following her departure. Steph, 47, appeared in the Channel 4 soap intermittently for almost three decades between 1996 and 2024. The actress part of a mass cast exodus ahead of a huge revamp in September, which saw a reduction of episodes and a game-changing time jump. Cindy and her little brother Tom (Ellis Hollins) made a quick escape after learning the truth behind Dave Williams' (Dominic Power) identity. As the notorious gangster 'Blue', he plagued Warren Fox's (Jamie Lomas) life for weeks over the summer, kidnapping his children and forcing him to confess to the murder of his mother. After Dave pulled a gun on the siblings, Cindy whacked her husband over the head with a stapler before they both fled. Desperate to depart before she found herself in more danger, she resolved to stay with older sister Jude in Spain – with Tom agreeing that it would be best for him to move on too. Now, almost a year on, she has told the Secure The Insecure podcast that she misses her friendships with her fellow 'Oaks actors. 'I did feel the quiet from the family that I once knew on the show,' she admitted. 'No one's picking up the phone. No one's checking in. Everyone's just getting on with their life.' She continued: 'When you're in that Hollyoaks bubble and they call it a family – I feel you're only family when you're in it. 'You pour your heart out to these people, and then you go, and it's like it never happened. 'Where did that friendship go? There's only a couple of people I'm in contact with.' In April, she addressed her 'vulnerability' upon starting a new venture away from the acting industry, working as a life coach. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? 'That's all I've known for the last 30 years. When I lost my job last year, I knew that I would be in a place of vulnerability, because it wasn't guaranteed that I was just going to get another role, and you know, go onto the next project, it's really hard out there, it's not easy,' she said on Instagram. More Trending 'That's one of the reasons why I stayed in Hollyoaks for so long because it was security and I was doing what I loved every single day. 'I didn't even question it, so when I became vulnerable, I thought well what else can I do that would give me a purpose, and something that I was passionate about. Things you need to know before renting an electric vehicle ― that the agent won't tell you

My oldest friend, Cindy, was in town recently for her father's birthday. Over dinner, she mentioned she'd rented a Mercedes EQS electric vehicle at the airport. Cindy liked the car's looks and comfort, but she had questions. Questions somebody should have answered before she left the parking lot. 'Where do I charge it?' she said. 'How does it work? This car is frustrating.' That's the sound of a rental company dropping the ball, and an automaker paying the price. A little help, please "U.S. rental-car companies had a unique opportunity to start transitioning their fleets to EVs, while also educating hundreds of thousands of Americans about the new cars. "They almost uniformly blew it," said John Voelcker, a reporter and analyst who has covered electric vehicles for 15 years. EVs are great in a lot of ways. They can also be maddening, frequently because car companies got too cute and reinvented features that already worked fine while they were also creating the technology that will probably eventually dominate the roads. Some EVs have a start/stop button. Others power up and down automatically when the key fob enters and leaves the vehicle. Locking and unlocking them can be equally idiosyncratic. The king of electric vehicles: GM reported triple-digit growth in its EVs while Tesla faced a double-digit loss Rental companies should be prepared to demonstrate these features, and others. I've spent enough time in Mercedes vehicles and other EVs to answer Cindy's questions. She made it through the rest of her trip to Michigan without getting stranded, but how many times has that happened to drivers whose only mistake was trusting the rental car company to tell them how to operate the vehicle? It's not that hard to get it right. Here's what you should demand from a rental agency, and a few key tips for anybody curious about EVs: List of things to ask upfront Before you rent: What else you need to know to be safe on the road Charger types: There are basically two: Level 2 charging, best for topping up the battery overnight; and DC fast charging for long drives where you'll stop and charge en route. Both will probably cost less than using gasoline. Level 2 charging, which uses the same 240-volt current as many appliances, should cost a lot less. When DC fast charging, it's most efficient to stop at 80% or 90% of a full charge. Adding the last 10%-20% ― it varies depending on brand and battery technology ― takes longer. One-pedal driving/regenerative braking: Many EVs have this feature, which maximizes the amount of energy recaptured for the battery when the vehicle slows down. You may never touch the brake pedal at all. The features increase battery range and are clever engineering, but not everybody likes them. Drivers who don't can turn it off or select different levels of deceleration Battery preconditioning: When the vehicle is plugged in, an app can tell it to warm the battery to its most efficient temperature before you start driving. That saves valuable battery power and increases range. Some vehicles will also precondition the battery for quicker charging before you stop at a DC fast charger on long drives. That reduces charging time and gets you get back on the road faster. Heated seats and steering wheels are your friend: It's a more efficient use of electricity to keep occupants comfortable by touching the seats and steering wheel than heating all the air in the cabin. Preconditioning can increase driving range significantly when temperatures fall below freezing. Air conditioning doesn't use as much power as heating. Traditional forced-air AC is fine in hot weather. Two good apps you'll need to find chargers: Plugshare and ABRP (A Better Route Planner) are my favorites. They'll tell you where to find chargers, which ones are open and if any are out of service. Charging networks like EVgo have their own apps but they only direct you to their chargers. Plugshare and ABRP are universal search engines, the Chrome and Safari of EV charging. Choose to charge overnight: Your life will be simpler if you stay somewhere with a Level 2 charger. One of the best things about EVs is starting every day with a full battery. Another is never stopping to gas up in the rain, wind or snow. And remember this courtesy move Never leave your vehicle parked at the charger when the battery is full. You don't lock the bathroom door behind you as you leave, do you? Somebody needs to use it. Are you changing your mind about renting an EV? This may seem like a lot to think about and do, but it quickly becomes second nature. DC fast chargers are also becoming more common, but "charging deserts" still exist. If you plan long drives in your rental, download ABRP or Plugshare before you decide an EV's the right choice for this trip. The rental clerk turned Cindy out into the night with a key fob and a wave, probably because nobody at HQ realized what a disservice that was to a customer. Cindy's a patient and forgiving soul, necessary character traits for someone who has put up with me for decades, you might say. Rental companies shouldn't take advantage of her, or any other customer's good nature. They need to improve their service or stop offering EVs. Until that happens, customers should ask a few extra questions before renting one. Contact Mark Phelan: mmphelan@ Follow him on Twitter @mark_phelan. Owner ‘never lost hope' for cats missing in Texas floods. See emotional reunion

A woman is rejoicing after reuniting with her beloved cats who went missing when a tree crashed through her home during the devastating Central Texas flooding. Austin Pets Alive!, a shelter helping pets displaced due to the tragedy, posted a warm story about Cindy, a woman whose two cats vanished after losing her home. 'Cindy's home was destroyed during the early morning hours of July 4, when a tree branch went through her home,' the shelter said in a July 12 Facebook post. 'Her cats went missing and for the past week, our volunteers have been searching for her missing cats named Rambo and Mo. Like so many, she lost her home, but she never lost hope that the cats would be found.' The shelter posted a video of Cindy, whose last name wasn't given, joyfully being reunited with one of her two cats, Mo. 'We're so very happy to share that Cindy was reunited with Rambo earlier this week and finally, Mo, today! The joy that spread across her face is the best way to describe the relationship between people and pets,' the shelter said. 'As soon as Cindy took a pause from reuniting with her own kitty, she immediately asked about her neighbors' cats, who we've also been working to recover.' The shelter, along with Best Friends Animal Society and Wings of Rescue, has been working overtime to help owners affected by the flooding find their missing pets. The three teamed up to airlift animals from local shelters to Fort Worth to make more room. 'We are heartbroken by the devastation caused by the Central Texas floods, but we're also deeply moved by the compassion and urgency shown by so many, including our partners at Austin Pets Alive! and Wings of Rescue,' Best Friends Animal Society CEO Julie Castle said. 'In the face of disaster, we remain committed to doing everything we can to support impacted shelters and save as many lives as possible.' Heavy rains over the July 4 holiday ravaged the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, killing 132 people. Authorities believe around 170 people are still missing, the Associated Press reports. Kerr County is about a 125-mile drive west from Austin.

EastEnders' Michelle Collins takes break from soap to play blonde bombshell

EXCLUSIVE: Michelle Collins is taking a break from EastEnders to tread the boards as Marilyn Monroe in a one-woman show at the Edinburgh Festival next month As EastEnders' villain Cindy Beale, Michelle Collins is used to dropping bombshells… but now she's set to tread the boards as the ultimate blonde bombshell, Marilyn Monroe. Michelle is taking a break from the BBC soap to star in a one-woman show at the Edinburgh Festival next month. And the dark comedy Motorhome Marilyn has been a labour of love for Michelle, 63. She said: 'It's been years in the making so I can't wait to get it out there but I'm very nervous. "Think Shirley Valentine meets the Coen Brothers meets Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire. It's one of the most terrifying things I've done. My lines are in my handbag everywhere I go.' The play, inspired by Michelle's real-life encounter with a woman known as Motorhome Marilyn, is about a Monroe-obsessed actress' heartbreaking failure to live up to the icon's fame and beauty. ‌ ‌ Michelle has big dreams for the show. She said: 'I'm hoping it will eventually go on TV.' But she assures 'Enders fans that she will be back on Albert Square after a month-long break. Michelle joined EastEnders as scheming Cindy in 1988 but left 10 years later and went on to appear in Coronation Street and Casualty. Cindy's cheating ways – mainly at the expense of ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) – earned her a reputation as an Albert Square homewrecker. She even tried to kill Ian before fans were led to believe that she had died during childbirth in prison. But when Cindy returned to Walford in 2023 after a 25-year break, it was revealed she had actually been put into witness protection under a new identity. ‌ She is now also the ex-wife of George Knight (Colin Salmon) and has sparked plenty of drama since her return by having an affair with George's estranged son, Junior (Micah Balfour). At the Tric Awards last month, Michelle said of her character: 'There's been lots of trials and tribulations with the men around. 'People are seeing a different side of Cindy… it's exhausting being a b**ch all the time. She's been on her own for a while, and it's good for her. She's being a good granny. I can't believe I'm saying that about Cindy.' Michelle's success back on the Square is being reflected in her bank balance. Accounts show she has almost £200,000 cash reserves in It Worx Limited, which handles her TV work. This is up from £20,000 before her new deal on EastEnders. This comes after Michelle revealed that her dramatic comeback as the iconic Cindy Beale in EastEnders has paid off not just creatively, but financially, with her personal company, It Worx Limited, seeing a major surge in earnings following her return to Albert Square. The actress, who founded the company in 1996 to manage income from her television work, saw its cash reserves jump from just £20,000 to nearly £200,000 in the year ending March 2024. According to newly published Companies House records as seen by The Sun, she now faces a Corporation Tax bill of £69,694, suggesting her earnings from the period were roughly five times that amount. Despite the financial success, Collins admitted she initially felt uncertain about reprising her role as Cindy after 25 years off-screen.
