Cindy Crawford jokes her daughter Kaia Gerber is 'traumatised' by her nude photoshoots and reveals she displayed them in her family home
The runway star, 59, was no stranger to a racy photoshoot in her 1980s modelling heyday and has posed nude countless times in her decades-long career.
However, she has now revealed what her children Kaia, 23, and Presley, 26 - who she shares with her husband Rande Gerber - think of her nude photographs.
Speaking on the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast, Cindy shared that she has some tasteful nude pictures of herself hung on the walls in her home.
'There were nude pictures of me in our house that I never explained to my kids,' she admitted. 'Once in a while, one of my kids will make a comment, like, ''we just thought it was normal that your mum was nude''...'
'There's a famous picture of me, Christy [Turlington], Naomi [Campbell], Linda [Evangelista], and Tatjana [Patitza],' she said of one piece of artwork in her home.
'You don't see anything - it wasn't like, hey, here's mum in all her glory! We didn't have those pictures out, but look, I'm sure my kids are traumatised - like every kid is.'
Cindy said having a family changed her perspective on doing nude photoshoots and ditched the raunchy content before she tied the knot with Rande in 1998 aged 32.
'I did stop doing nudes before we got married. I don't really think I've done anything nude again,' she explained.
'And I've been asked afterwards, but I definitely thought: I don't know if my nine-year-old kid wants to get teased by his friends.'
Though her decades-long career including a string of nude photographs, Cindy candidly admitted the one she regretted because she felt manipulated into doing it.
'Every experience is a lesson, and that's where we grow up - making those choices,' she said.
'I've done a tonne of nude pictures. The only one I regret ever is the one I got talked into. Every other one, I knew what I was doing. I did Playboy with Herb [Ritts] twice.'
But sharing one occasion she looks back on differently, she added: 'I felt manipulated into it. That's the only one that I look at, and I was hurt.'
'It's not even the most revealing picture of me by far, but when I look at it, I know what I was feeling,' she explained.
On the other hand, Cindy revealed she always felt 'comfortable' and '100 per cent safe' working with photographer Herb, who died of pneumonia aged 50 in 2002.
'Once you've done a naked picture, then people think, oh, she does nudes, but it's not that way. It has to be right. The chemistry has to be right,' she went on.
'I have to feel comfortable. With Herb, I felt 100% safe and not sexualised. He looked at people like architecture. So I could do it with him.
'I did it with straight guys too, but just certain people maybe give you a weird vibe, and I had one. And I just didn't know how to say no - or didn't say no.'
Cindy is preparing to celebrate her 60th birthday in February and recently gave an insight into her self-care routine.
She launched her skincare range Meaningful Beauty over 20 years ago with French doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh, and dished on her favourite products to maintain her flawless glow.
'When you feel good about yourself and feel confident, you hold your head a little higher and that's what people really see,' she told People, noting a key ingredient in the range is Charentais cantaloupe extract.
Cindy said she swears by Meaningful Beauty's sun-protectant moisturizer, which has anti-aging properties.
'It melts into the skin, so it works great under makeup,' she explained of the winning formula.
'My goal is for women to be less overwhelmed by skincare. Our systems make it easy to get the best ingredients all in one place.'
Cindy and Sebagh's range of skin-enhancing products debuted in 2004, and in 2021, expanded to include haircare items.
An Instagram tagline describes the company as Cindy's 'breakthrough secret to younger looking skin and hair.'
'A lot of women don't really start taking care of their skin until they start noticing those signs of aging. I think that was the same for hair for me,' she told People at the time.

Martine McCutcheon's pals reveal how Love Actually icon went bankrupt for a second time
Former EastEnders actress Martine McCutcheon is having a rough time of it of late, with the newly single star recently declared bankrupt for a second time Former EastEnders actress Martine McCutcheon has been hit with another blow just a year after parting ways with her husband Jack McManus, with it revealed over the weekend that the newly single star has fallen on hard times financially. The Love Actually actress has reportedly been declared bankrupt, as per court documents, following a petition for insolvency over a debt owed to a finance company, official public records have disclosed. This comes on the heels of her having to reduce the asking price of her beautiful Surrey home. It's now claimed the star, who was once worth millions as an Olivier Award winner with a number one single to her name, lost her money due to "high spending habits" and struggling to land roles amid a battle with ill health. Martine's friends reportedly say their pal made some "highly questionable spending decisions" over recent years, like paying 'thousands' to the Mafia in order to tie the knot with ex Jack in Lake Como, Italy back in 2012. The mum-of-one being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME) in 2011 and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) has also damaged her bank balance and seen her earnings take a dip. One of the star's friends muses how, despite appearing in one of the nation's favourite soaps and classic Christmas film Love Actually, Martine's most iconic roles came about over 20 years ago and "money does not last for ever if you do not invest it wisely." "It has not helped that she loves the finer things in her life, and it is no secret that she has spent more than she should have done over the years," the pal tells the Daily Mail. "She has had bits and pieces of TV work recently – but nothing has come close to being a blockbuster role that might get her out of her financial mess." They add: "It's a real shame as she's immensely talented with a wealth of experience. Hopefully she can turn things around, but she's had a real tough time." A court document indicates that the insolvency order was issued on 31 March this year, a few months after she announced her split from Jack, her husband of 18 years. The couple share a 10 year old son, Rafferty. The bankruptcy ruling, which was filed under her married name, Martine McManus, was handed down in March at the County Court in Guildford, instigated by a petition from a firm named LDF Finance. Meanwhile, Martine's company, Raven Music Ltd, was also wound up last month, a move initiated by HMRC due to outstanding tax bills. The most recent accounts reveal that the business had a tax liability exceeding £175,000, due within the 12-month period post-February 2022. However, the total amount of Martine's personal tax bill remains undisclosed, and it is yet to be determined whether the Official Receiver will call for a public examination of her bankruptcy, which would lay bare her financial situation. This isn't Martine's first brush with financial woes. Despite a previous net worth of around £2million, she faced bankruptcy in 2013 with debts totalling approximately £187,000, including a hefty £150,000 owed to HMRC. By the following year, Martine had been discharged from bankruptcy and was once again financially solvent. She and her now ex-husband splashed out a staggering £1.3million on their former marital home in Surrey just three years prior. Last year, the pair announced their separation after an 18-year marriage. Announcing their separation on social media, she stated: "After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision. I continue to send Jack, all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his life."

Hugh Hefner's widow makes shock decision eight YEARS after the controversial Playboy founder's death
Crystal Hefner, the widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has officially taken legal steps to change her name, nearly eight years after her husband's death. On June 13, 2025, she filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court to revert to her maiden name, Crystal Margaret Harris. The filing, which was reviewed by People, indicates that she is seeking to resume the name she held before her marriage to Hugh Hefner. No court hearing date was listed in the petition, but under California law, a legal name change typically requires public notice and a formal hearing before it can be finalized. A lawyer representing Crystal declined to comment on the matter when approached by the outlet. Daily Mail has also reached out to Crystal's rep. Crystal, now 39, was married to Hugh Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017. In the years that followed, she continued to use the Hefner name in public, but recent actions suggest a clear shift toward redefining her personal identity. Before marrying Hefner, Crystal gained recognition as a Playboy model and television personality under her birth name. Since his passing, she has gradually stepped away from the spotlight to focus on a more private life centered around personal growth and healing. In previous interviews, Crystal discussed the emotional challenges she faced during her time in the Playboy world and her journey toward self-discovery. Speaking with NPR in January 2024, she recalled struggling with her identity after leaving the Playboy Mansion, describing the process as 'depressing and sad,' but ultimately empowering. 'I feel like I'm finally reclaiming myself and my power,' she said during the interview. Crystal also shared that she purchased a farm in Hawaii, where she now enjoys a peaceful lifestyle focused on nature, simplicity, and freedom. She expressed a desire to eventually marry again and start a family. 'I do hope to get married one day and have children,' she said to NPR. In April 2024, Crystal became engaged to James Ward, who proposed at her Hawaii home with a six-carat, vintage mine-cut diamond ring. The couple began dating earlier that year after being introduced by mutual friends. It is not clear if she will change her name again to become Crystal Ward following the nuptials. The same year as her engagement, Crystal released her memoir Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself. In her memoir, she detailed traumas she faced in the Playboy mansion including having a 6pm curfew, witnessing Hugh's alleged opiate addiction, and having to 'beg' for an allowance.
