Virgin Media hands out free 4K smart TVs in flash summer sale – but it's ending soon
Virgin Media is offering new customers a free 50" Hisense 4K TV with its TV and broadband bundles, but the deal is set to end in days Virgin Media is back with another giveaway, this time offering free smart TVs in a flash summer sale. The provider is gifting new customers a free 50" Hisense Ultra HD Smart TV or £200 bill credit when they secure one of its TV and broadband bundles by Wednesday, July 9. Typically, Virgin's giveaway deals are only available with its more expensive TV and broadband offerings, but the latest deal is much more affordable. The most budget-friendly bundle is the £44.99 Bigger Combo bundle + Movies, which comes with more than 200 TV channels including Sky Cinema HD, plus 363Mbps fibre broadband. For those who favour sports over films, Virgin's £65.99 Bigger Combo bundle + Sports includes the same 362Mbps broadband and more than 200 TV channels. However, it replaces Sky Cinema with eight dedicated Sky Sports channels. For those who crave even more speed, the £78.99 Biggest Combo bundle boosts that broadband to a swift 516Mbps and piles on more than 210 channels, complete with both Sky Sports HD, Sky Cinema HD and Netflix's Standard with ads plan. The final option is Virgin's Mega Volt bundle at £84.99 a month, which boasts all the bells and whistles, including more than 230 TV channels featuring Sky Sports HD, Sky Cinema HD and Netflix Standard with ads, plus mega 1, 130Mbps broadband. On top of all this, the bundle comes with an O2 SIM card with unlimited data, minutes and texts, reports the Express. Each of these four packages includes a choice of a free TV or £200 bill credit. Each contract runs for 24 months and include no set-up fee. To check service availability, customers will need to enter their postcode on Virgin's website. However, one caveat is that each of the bundles will experience a price increase from April 2026, followed by another rise in April 2027, so it's vital to do the maths and ensure one can comfortably manage the bills over the two-year contract. When compared to Sky's own TV and broadband plans, Virgin typically comes in pricier, but it also offers more bang for shoppers' bucks by providing faster broadband and more TV channels. Sky's options start with the £35 Essential TV and Full Fibre 150 bundle, which includes roughly 100 channels fewer than Virgin's TV package, although one of these is Sky Atlantic which Virgin does not offer. There's also Sky's ultimate TV and Full Fibre 300 Broadband deal, which has 35 extra channels compared to the Essential package. It starts at £42 a month for a 24-month contract. Here's a breakdown of the eligible free TV packages:. Bigger Combo bundle + Movies – £44.99 per month Ideal for connected homes with four to six people and 10+ devices TV from everywhere, at home and on the go Sky Cinema HD and Sky channels Bigger Combo bundle + Sports – £65.99 per month Ideal for connected homes with four to six people and 10+ devices TV from everywhere, at home and on the go Eight Sky Sports channels, including Main Event and F1 Biggest Combo bundle Great for super-connected homes with six to eight people and 10+ devices My Watchlist allows you to save shows from anywhere, all in one place Sky channels, Sky Sports HD and Sky Cinema HD Netflix standard with ads Mega Volt bundle Blazing-fast speed for busy households gaming and streaming at the same time WiFi guarantee TV from everywhere, at home and on the go Sky Cinema HD and Sky Sports HD Netflix standard with ads It's recommended to thoroughly read the terms and conditions for any potential price hikes post-contract to avoid an unexpected hefty bill. If the cost is due to surge in the 25th month, consumers should be able to cancel before this happens, but consider whether this potential inconvenience is worth the initial free TV.

Virgin Media is handing customers free iPads right now
Virgin Media has reintroduced one of its most popular deals from 2025, offering a free iPad to UK consumers who need a broadband upgrade. Customers who subscribe to one of the retailer's broadband plans will receive a 64GB Apple device at no extra cost, although this offer is only available on one plan. The free iPad is included in Virgin Media's Mega Volt Package, a combined plan that offers broadband and TV services. This package provides high-speed internet, mobile data, and TV channels all in one, making it an ideal choice for busy households. Priced at £88.99 per month, customers will also receive an iPad absolutely free. Customers who commit to the monthly plan will receive a 64GB iPad 9th Gen model, typically priced at £200, completely free. This deal is not currently available anywhere else. The provider last offered this deal in March, as an improvement on its previous free bill credit deals, reports the Mirror. Although this isn't Apple's latest device, it's a 2021 model. It features a 10.2-inch screen, a decent processor for speed, and is compatible with Apple's keyboard case and Apple Pencil. At the same time, Amazon's newer 10th Gen iPad deal is worth a look at too. Alternatively there is Sky Mobile, which isn't offering any free device with its plans, but it's got the much newer 2024 iPad Pro 13-inch M4 on a cost splitting plan and it's now available for £34 a month. Virgin's attractive deal offers a comprehensive bundle for consumers. Here's what the Mega Volt package includes: Gigabit broadband: Virgin Media's fastest broadband, Gig1 Fibre, which provides customers with 1130Mbps average download speeds. WiFi guarantee: Virgin Media's market-leading WiFi guarantee is included at no extra cost (usually £8 per month), offering customers minimum download speeds of 30Mbps in every room or £100 back. TV: A huge variety of 240+ TV channels and subscription services, including Netflix standard with ads, Sky Sports HD and Sky Cinema HD at no extra cost. Mobile: A 250GB O2 SIM which includes data roaming (up to 25GB) in 75 worldwide including USA, Australia and 49 EU destinations at no extra cost. O2 Extra: Customers can choose a subscription service including Disney+, McAffee, Amazon Prime Video or Audible for six months at no extra cost. The Mega Volt plan combines both into one neat package. It provides internet speeds of 1130Mbps (Gig1 fibre broadband), over 230 TV channels, and access to Sky Sports and Sky Cinema HD. At £88.99 per month on an 18-month contract, it's not a small sum if you're only after a free iPad, so it might be worth shopping around. However, if you're in need of a new TV and broadband plan, the complimentary iPad is definitely a bonus.
