Dyson announces latest Airwrap styler that's faster and lighter than older models
Dyson's 'most advanced' Airwrap styler to date is expected to be released soon.
With the first Dyson Airwrap Styler launched back in 2018, the tech brand has since released a variety of models so shoppers can achieve bouncy curls and gorgeous blow dries with ease. Now fans will be delighted to hear that Dyson's most awarded hair styler is getting an upgrade this year.
Set to be released in September, Dyson has just launched the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler and dryer. Available in both Jasper Plum and Ceramic Pink, this new Airwrap is said to make styling easier while also protecting your hair.
With a price tag of £579.99, shoppers will need to sign up to Dyson's newsletter to be alerted of when the styler is ready to hit the shelves. So what can shoppers expect from this new Airwarp?
Said to be Dyson's 'most advanced' Airwrap yet, the Co-anda multi-styler will feature a brand new motor that "spins nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine", reports the Mirror. On top of this, the device includes smart sensor technology that will adapt each attachment to the best airflow and temperature settings.
In comparison to the Airwarp i.d. styler (RRP £479.99), is latest edition is smaller and lighter, making it easier for shoppers to use through their hair.
Coming with a Dyson-designed case, the Co-anda styler comes with two sets that consist of six attachments. The Straight + Wavy set consists of a 30mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, AirSmooth 2x attachment and fast dryer 2x.
And for the Curly + Coily set, shoppers will get a 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, tension comb 2x, Wave+Curl diffuser 2x and fast dryer 2x.
With a new and improved motor, users will see a reduction in the amount of time that it takes to curl their hair. In fact, the device will be able to create tight, voluminous and loose curls faster by using 30 per cent more product power and two times more air pressure than older devices.
Users should also have a more comfortable experience with the new Airwrap as it comes with an anti-snag loop brush. This attachment comes with new hook bristles that should provide increased control nearer the root of the hair, while also providing comfort on the scalp.
For those who instead want to straighten their hair, they will be able to do so with the AirSmooth 2x attachment. This add-on features two non-heated contact bars and two jets of high velocity air. This should remove frizz while also straightening the hair.
Once the attachment has completely passed through your hair, the arms will automatically unclamp to release the hair to avoid any unnecessary damage.
Some fans of Dyson's hair care products have already seen the trailer video of Dyson's newest Airwrap, and a few were quick to leave their guesses about the device.
One person said: "Oh looks like a blow dryer, a new smooth brush, round brush, curler… and is that a straightener attachment?"

For those wanting a cheaper version of the Airwrap, Dyson is also selling a refurbished edition of their Airwrap multi-styler and dryer for £399.99. Along with a diffuser, this device also comes with two long barrels, a volumising brush and smoothing brush.
While the idea of the Dyson Airwrap is appealing to many, the devices also come with a hefty price tag that many of us can't afford. Thankfully, there are similar products on the market that are a bit cheaper.
For example, Boots has reduced the price of the Shark FlexStyle 4-in-1 Air Styler & Hair Dryer. Normally retailing for £259.99, shoppers can now grab it for £199.99. This styler can switch between being a powerful hair dryer and a versatile styling wand.
Alternatively, Amazon is selling the GLAMUP AirCurler 6 in 1 Multi Hair Styler for £149. This versatile styler comes with wrap curlers, a silk straight nozzle, a paddle brush, a volumiser and a dryer nozzle attachment so users can blowdry, smooth, curl and style their hair any way they want.
