Upcoming Kazipet Railway Manufacturing Unit to make train sets for export
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said indigenously made 150 Vandebharat trains are slated for export with the first train set already flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More railway rolling stock, including metro coaches, are getting export orders and the upcoming ₹521.26 crore mega Kazipet Railway Manufacturing Unit is going to play a key role once it is commissioned in 2026, he told the media at the factory site on Saturday (July 19, 2025). What will be manufactured there? The civil works will be completed by December as there is good progress in the factory construction which is being built with a flexible design to manufacture engines, coaches, wagons and metro train sets, said the Minister. Direct employment to 3,000 people Union Minister for Coal & Mines G Kishan Reddy said the railway unit will provide direct employment to about 3,000 persons and indirect jobs to many more with region expected to benefit economically with several ancillary industries likely to come up. Locals will be considered for employment with State government recommendation. Relief and rehabilitation measures for affected farmers will be done through the district collector, he said. Mr. Reddy thanked Prime Minister Modi and Mr. Vaishnaw for allocating the factory to Warangal and Telangana. It was a reflection of Centre's commitment towards development of the region and those questioning him and his party for contribution to the State should witness the unit, he said. The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone for the facility two years ago on July 2023. The project was entrusted to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on turnkey basis with project execution by PowerMech-Taikishna JV. Full fledged rail manufacturing unit From initial plan to make rolling stock of different varieties, it was decided to make the facility into a full fledged Rail Manufacturing Unit which will also make 200 MEMU train (mainline electric multiple units) rakes of 16 cars each, said railway officials. Spread over 160.04 acres The manufacturing unit is coming up on a 160.04 acres of land provided by the State Government with pre-engineered shed of 60,933 A main shop floor with four bays, 13 km of internal rail network, 1 mwp shed roof solar plant, etc., will form part of the project. The MEMU rakes to be made here will be equipped with three phase propulsion system with operating speed of 130 kmph. They will be equipped with automatic door closing, non AC enclosure with roof top ventilation along with LED displays and Kavach - automatic train protection system, they added. The Ministers duo later in the evening flagged off the inaugural run of daily train between Kacheguda and Jodhpur in the presence of senior railway officials.

Indian Bureau of Mines gears up to host felicitation ceremony for Seven-Star and Five-Star rated mines
New Delhi [India], July 6 (ANI): The Indian Bureau of Mines, a subordinate office of the Ministry of Mines, is gearing up to host a grand event to recognise the performance of 7 and 5-star rated mines nationwide for the year 2023-24. The Felicitation Ceremony, scheduled to take place in Jaipur on July 7, 2025, will be attended by a range of distinguished dignitaries, stakeholders, and guests. According to Ministry of Mines, the Union Minister of Coal & Mines, G Kishan Reddy, has consented to be the Chief Guest, and the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma and the Union Minister of State for Coal & Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, will be present as distinguished Guests of Honour. Sanjay Lohiya, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, will also grace the occasion. The Star Rating of Mines, conceptualised in 2014-15, has garnered widespread acclaim within the mining community for fostering a positive and competitive environment among mine operators. The recognition bestowed by the Union Minister and the national-level acknowledgement of performance has greatly motivated miners to improve their functioning, bringing tangible benefits to the mining industry as well as the local communities. This program evaluates mining operations nationwide within the Sustainable Development Framework, which primarily aims to drive inclusive growth while safeguarding the social, economic, and environmental welfare of present and future generations. During the event, 3 7-star rated mines and 95 5-star rated Mines for the year 2023-24 are scheduled to be honoured. The event will be held at Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. (ANI)

The framework, referred to as RECLAIM, serves as a structured guide for inclusive community engagement and development throughout the mine closure and post-closure phases. It offers a practical, step-by-step approach to institutionalising community participation in the transition process.

BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao, on Sunday said the party cadre is the main strength of the party and exhorted them to join hands with him in strengthening the party from the booth level and help the organisation for the political battles ahead. 'We are a cadre-based party. Our party workers are known for their dedication, commitment and sacrifices. With the help of the cadre, the party would be galvanised to try to bring it in power in the next elections,' he said talking to the media after meeting and having tea at the house of Lalapet booth committee president Amarnath. Mr. Rao also planted saplings to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Later, at the party office, he garlanded the portrait of the founder in the presence of Union Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy, party vice president G. Manohar Reddy, general secretary G. Premender Reddy and others. The party's slogan of — One Country, One Law, One Ration and One Election — should be effectively propagated for the sake of country's unity and integrity, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid the ultimate tribute to the founder by abrogating Article 370, which provided special status to Jammu & Kashmir. The founder leader's name will be etched in history for having opposed the concept of two Prime Ministers and two Constitutions for the country with regard special provisions of Article 370, he said. 'The party has been following the path shown by Syama Prasad Mukherjee as his life and times has been an 'inspiration' for all of us. Though he has had a suspicious death, the founder been a symbol of courage and sacrifice,' he said. Later, he participated in the Golconda 'Bonalu' festivities.

Modi Govt has emulated Alluri Sitaramaraju's ideals by making Draupadi Murmu as President: Rajnath Singh
Hyderabad Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Modi Government has emulated legendary revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju's ideals in making a tribal woman, Draupadi Murmu, as the President of India. He hoped the Telugu States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh too, will set an example by empowering tribals. Participating in the 128th birth anniversary celebrations of Sitarama Raju here on Friday, Mr. Singh pointed out that the revolutionary had fought and surprised British rulers, along with his fellow fighters, through guerrilla warfare, though they did not have modern weapons in a tribal area. Sitarama Raju is remembered for his fight to protect tribal rights as wanted them to be empowered, self-sufficient and join the mainstream. He also fought for unity among all castes in so that the country can be much greater and as a tribal leader, the revolutionary leader's legacy is unforgettable, affirmed Mr. Singh. 'There is a hero within every Indian and when we stand for the truth, there is no need to fear anybody – any foreign force or the British, like in the case of the legendary revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju, he added. Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat saluted the revolutionary leader and said all the brave fighters who had sacrificed their lives for the sake of motherland should be remembered. Former Union Minister P. Ashok Gajapati Raju, NCC chairman A.V.S. Raju and others were also present, said a press release.
