What Ravens QB Lamar Jackson told Mark Andrews after key drop vs. Bills

The Baltimore Ravens had a chance to tie their playoff game against the Buffalo Bills after Lamar Jackson threw a 24-yard strike to Isaiah Likely with 1:33 left in regulation. However, tight end Mark Andrews was unable to haul in the ensuing 2-point conversion attempt. Jackson hit the veteran with an accurate pass on a bootleg to his right, but Andrews simply dropped it. Andrews admitted it was "tough" to cope with his drop, which was ultimately the Ravens' final offensive play of the 27-25 loss that ended their season. Jackson was aware of that in the moment. As such, he tried to do everything he could to make Andrews feel better, as the quarterback detailed in appearance on Kevin Hart's "Cold As Balls" podcast with LOL Network. "I talked to him. I went up to him like, 'Man we all played a part in this game.' I had my turnovers. We shouldn't even be in this situation," Jackson told Hart of his interaction with Andrews. "I know you've been busting your (expletive) all season. Despite what you've been through, we're just gonna have to bounce back. We can't dwell on it." Andrews seemingly took that message to heart. In his first media availability at Ravens OTAs, he told reporters "it's how you bounce back" when asked about the ill-timed gaffe. He also explained he is planning to use it to motivate him during the 2025 NFL season. Jackson is similarly motivated for the upcoming season and believes the Ravens are on the verge of making a Super Bowl push. "We're extremely close," Jackson said when asked by Hart about being a Super Bowl contender. Jackson has played a big role in Baltimore's ascension and posted one of his finest seasons in 2024. He completed 66.7% of his passes for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and four interceptions while adding 915 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He finished as the MVP runner-up behind Bills quarterback Josh Allen and believes he will continue to improve as he reaches the prime of his career. "As I've been getting older in the league, my mindset has been different," Jackson explained. "The game has gotten a lot easier for me."

Did Tom Brady just dodge Geno Smith to praise Patrick Mahomes?

(Image via Getty: Patrick Mahomes with Tom Brady) Tom Brady, the man who's practically synonymous with greatness in the NFL, sat across from comedian Kevin Hart in an icy tub. Well, they casually handed the future of football crown to someone not named Geno Smith, not even Joe Burrow or Jalen Hurts. No, the seven-time Super Bowl champion seems to be crystal clear. The heir to his GOAT throne is none other than Patrick Mahomes. And coming from a man who spent two decades redefining quarterback excellence, that nod means everything. Brady's praise wasn't just offhanded or casual. It was intentional and deep. And it had every Mahomes fan leaning in. Patrick Mahomes gets the crown's heir apparent from Tom Brady Tom Brady's career is the gold standard, with ten Super Bowl appearances, seven wins, and two different dynasties. For years, people wondered who could possibly come close. During the live taping of Kevin Hart's Cold As Balls, Hart posed the question every football fan has been asking: Is there anyone playing right now who could pass Brady? Brady didn't hesitate. "It's Patrick," he said. The GOAT didn't leave room for second-guessing or other candidates. Geno Smith? He elaborated, "I love his mentality. He has a will to win, he's got a desire every time he takes the field to be a great leader." This wasn't a comment on just talent or physical gifts. Brady has seen plenty of strong-armed quarterbacks fizzle out. What he respects is Mahomes' mind and his ability to lead, inspire, and win in the clutch. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Forget Furosemide, Use This Household Item To Help Drain Edema Fluid WellnessGuide Learn more Undo He didn't stop there either. "Even more than his physical skill," Brady added, "Everything he says is the right thing." That's a major compliment from a quarterback who built an entire career on poise, preparation, and out-thinking his opponents. What Patrick Mahomes has that Tom Brady sees Patrick Mahomes is now a three-time Super Bowl champion, a two-time league MVP, and, perhaps most importantly, the unwavering leader of a modern NFL dynasty in Kansas City. He's got the numbers, sure, but Brady's praise shines a light on what those stats don't fully capture: his heart and head. The mental side of football is something casual fans don't always notice. However, Brady's respect clearly comes from Mahomes' leadership, his interviews, his sideline presence, and the way he handles pressure. This wasn't lost on Travis Kelce or Andy Reid either. Kelce has said Mahomes is already "the greatest to ever do it." Meanwhile, Reid even revealed that Brady, in a private locker room moment, symbolically 'turned the keys over' to Mahomes. It's one thing for fans or analysts to call Mahomes the next GOAT. It's another when Tom Brady says it. And when he says it like that, it changes the entire debate. Sure, Mahomes still has more chapters to write. Will he need four, five, maybe six Super Bowl rings to match Brady's epic career? New York Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux hilariously trolls Philadelphia Eagles fans

New York Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux hilariously trolls Philadelphia Eagles fans New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux is no fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. That's something he made abundantly clear during Super Bowl media week in early February. "I hate the Eagles, man," he told the New York Post at the time. Although he hates the Eagles, Thibodeaux has been able to give them their But the team's fans? Not so much. Philly fans are notoriously known for their hostility towards opposing players and fans of opposing teams, often taking things too far and sometimes becoming violent. They've even pelted Santa Claus with snowballs. That's something Thibodeaux kept in mind during a recent appearance on Kevin Hart's Cold As Balls. "Is it true that Eagles fans are actually not smart? No (expletive)," Thibodeaux said. "I know you're one of them, so I get it. Like, 2.2 (GPA). I get it. There are statistics that you guys are literally (expletive) idiots." Thibodeaux's comments were clearly tongue-in-cheek, but that didn't stop them from causing a stir on social media. Giants fans found the exchange with Hart hilarious, while Eagles fans took the joke personally. "Why is Kevin Hart even doing sit-downs with a nobody of a player like him?" one Eagles fan griped. "Are there any statistics that show that Kayvon Thibodeaux isn't an overrated crybaby?" another said. The obviously sarcastic banter on a comedy show apparently went over their heads. Thibodeaux and the Giants will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 at MetLife Stadium. It will be interesting to see if these comments resurface around that time.
