New York Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux hilariously trolls Philadelphia Eagles fans
New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux is no fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. That's something he made abundantly clear during Super Bowl media week in early February.
"I hate the Eagles, man," he told the New York Post at the time.
Although he hates the Eagles, Thibodeaux has been able to give them their flowers...reluctantly. But the team's fans? Not so much.
Philly fans are notoriously known for their hostility towards opposing players and fans of opposing teams, often taking things too far and sometimes becoming violent. They've even pelted Santa Claus with snowballs.
That's something Thibodeaux kept in mind during a recent appearance on Kevin Hart's Cold As Balls.
"Is it true that Eagles fans are actually not smart? No (expletive)," Thibodeaux said. "I know you're one of them, so I get it. Like, 2.2 (GPA). I get it. There are statistics that you guys are literally (expletive) idiots."
Thibodeaux's comments were clearly tongue-in-cheek, but that didn't stop them from causing a stir on social media. Giants fans found the exchange with Hart hilarious, while Eagles fans took the joke personally.
"Why is Kevin Hart even doing sit-downs with a nobody of a player like him?" one Eagles fan griped.
"Are there any statistics that show that Kayvon Thibodeaux isn't an overrated crybaby?" another said.
The obviously sarcastic banter on a comedy show apparently went over their heads.
Thibodeaux and the Giants will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 at MetLife Stadium. It will be interesting to see if these comments resurface around that time.

Justin Verlander's brutal losing streak continues with ‘embarrassing' Giants loss
Justin Verlander didn't try to hide from the results. The latest loss, he said Friday, was 'frankly embarrassing.' The 42-year-old isn't the same version of the pitcher who made his MLB debut 20 years ago, and the results haven't matched his standard from all those seasons, either. After allowing six earned runs across three innings during the Giants' loss to the A's, Verlander's ERA rose to 4.84 through 14 starts, and he still hasn't picked up a win this season — with the $15 million pitcher's record sitting at 0-6. Justin Verlander throws a pitch during his July 4 start for the Giants. Getty Images 'I know that I can still be successful with the given stuff that I have at this level,' Verlander told reporters, according to the San Francisco Standard. 'I'm just not deceptive enough right now, and I need to figure out how to blend stuff better. Mechanically I'm not delivering the pitch the way that I'm capable of to deceive the hitter.' The Giants have picked up just four wins during Verlander's starts this year, and he won't make an All-Star Game for a third consecutive season after earning appearances in nine of his first 17 years in the majors. Verlander has recorded an out in the seventh inning just once this season, during a May 1 outing against the woeful Rockies. 'Guys are able to execute their game plan against me too easily,' Verlander told reporters, according to the Standard. 'I can't quite get fastballs by guys when I should be able to. I can't quite get them to chase the good off-speed pitch. When I do throw a bad one, they're on it.' So he'll keep working on mechanics, he said. He remembered encountering stretches like this before, where he needed to 'reinvent the wheel,' to 'throw s–t against the wall and see what works.' Justin Verlander, pictured walking toward the dugout after getting pulled June 18, has struggled for the Giants this season. Imagn Images But this isn't the Verlander who won World Series titles with the Astros in 2017 and 2022 — and who was a major part of their dynasty. This isn't the Verlander whom the Mets snagged in free agency ahead of the 2023 season to pair with Max Scherzer at the top of their rotation. Verlander has become just another aging pitcher, mixing some decent starts with some ugly ones and not collecting the that — sometimes — help mask some of the underlying concerns. He knows it's something that needs to get fixed 'quickly,' too.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. After decades of battling it out in the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have built one of the fiercest rivalries in football. Despite the animosity between the two franchises, one star player managed to give his competitor their flowers. Known for being a major sports town, Philadelphia fans have built a reputation for being a passionate bunch. Though sometimes their fandom reaches extreme lengths, there's no denying that people in the city care deeply about their pro teams. One person who has had an up-close view of Philly sports fans is CeeDee Lamb. He sees the opposite end of things though as a key piece of a major rival. Despite this, the star wide receiver still managed to praise them. When asked which team had the more passionate supporters, he shockingly went against his own franchise and gave the nod to Philadelphia. "Eagles, they're crazy," Lamb said of Philly fans. "Our fans our deep...I don't want to say nothing crazy, but the Eagles got it." He nearly had a chance to wind up with the Eagles, who had the 21st pick that year. With the Oklahoma star off the board, Howie Roseman pivoted to a different receiver prospect in Jalen Reagor. He didn't end up panning out in Philly, while Lamb has emerged as a star with the Cowboys. Fresh off winning a championship, Jalen Hurts and company are more than equipped to go back-to-back. As for Dallas, they'll be poised to get back in the hunt in the NFC. They have a new head coach, a healthy Dak Prescott, and notable upgrades to their offense. If the Cowboys are going to compete this season, Lamb will be a driving force in their success. As a focal point of Dallas' offense, they'll need him to continue producing at a high level. Things might be a little easier for him in 2025, as defenses will also have to worry about George Pickens on the other side of the field. Patriots two-time Super Bowl champ makes top-five millennium list
Former New England Patriots two-time Super Bowl champion Asante Samuel made Eric Edholm's top-five list of the best NFL draft values of the millennium at the cornerback position. The list is comprised of players who gave their team the most value based on where they were selected in their respective draft classes. Samuel was a fourth-round pick with the 120th overall selection in the 2003 NFL draft. He was ranked at No. 5 on the list. Advertisement Edholm wrote: "I did hesitate to add Samuel due to the fact that a large chunk of his career production happened outside of New England. The Patriots let him walk as a free agent, receiving only a compensatory pick in return. (That selection was used on the forgettable Tyrone McKenzie, who never played a game for the Pats.) But in the end, Samuel was an invaluable piece for a New England team that won two Super Bowls and played in 14 playoff games during his five seasons in Foxborough." Samuel had 51 career interceptions and made four straight Pro Bowls through an 11-year career in the NFL. He was also known as an elite playoff performer with seven postseason interceptions and four touchdowns. His exceptional NFL career landed him a spot on New England's All-2000s and All-Dynasty teams. Both are worthy accolades for one of the most successful defensive backs in franchise history. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.
