Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd brands wedding guests 'idiots' for one question
Jack P Shepherd, known for his role as David Platt on the long-running ITV soap, recently tied the knot with his partner, Hanni Treweek, but revealed that he had a certain issue prior to the big day Jack P Shepherd has dubbed some of his recent wedding guests "f***ing idiots" for asking a specific question about the proceedings. In a new episode of the On The Sofa podcast with fellow Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ben Price (recorded prior to his marriage to Hanni Treweek), the David Platt actor opened up about his wedding preparations. On Saturday (July 26), the happy couple tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral, surrounded by loved ones. It included his podcast co-hosts, Colson and Ben, who would serve as his groomsmen on the day. Jack noted at the time of the recording that it was the "kick-b*****k scramble" week before the wedding, a time when they had to address the "nitty gritty bits", prompting Colson to ask if there had been any cancellations. He said: "I've had a few f***ing idiots saying things like - it's mainly family." Colson interjected, noting that he was, in fact, a "f***ing idiot", to which Jack replied: "Oh, was ya?" Jack continued: "Saying stuff like, 'Well, where do we get ready, because the wedding's at two, but we can't check in till three?' I said, 'At f***ing home, you idiot. I mean, where do you think you get ready if you can't get ready in the hotel?" Elaborating, he pointed out that people could arrive at the hotel and do what "normal people" do by dropping their bags off. Despite this, it appears that the wedding went off without a hitch. In what they described as "the wedding of our dreams", Jack arrived in a red Mustang and wore an off-white suit, sunglasses and bow-tie. Meanwhile, Hanni, donning a tiara, reportedly wore a skirt and off-the-shoulder top. Also in attendance were Jack's son, Reuben (whose outfit matched his dad's) and the actor's on-screen mum, Helen Worth, who was accompanied by her husband, Trevor Dawson. As they left the venue, the newlyweds could be seen beaming and exchanging a number of kisses as they headed to the wedding car, as white confetti cascaded over them. Jack and Hanni first met on the set of Corrie when she was working as a scriptwriter. Fast forward to over a year ago, and Jack popped the question while the couple enjoyed a safari in Tanzania. The soap actor first joined the long-running ITV show in April 2000 and has since become a much-loved fixture of the series. In advance of the big day, Jack took to Instagram to express his thanks to the wedding planners. He wrote: "The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it's looking like it's gonna be amazing! "We couldn't have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you."

Colson Smith makes awkward Jack P Shepherd wedding blunder after being made best man
Coronation Street star Jack P Shephard wed his fiancee Hanni in a stunning ceremony in Manchester this weekend as he made Colson Smith his best man before an awkward blunder Jack P Shepherd's former Coronation Street co-star Colson Smith found himself in an awkward mistake as he celebrated his wedding. The David Platt actor, 37, married his fiancee Hanni Treweek on Saturday in a stunning ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest. They wed at Manchester Cathedral in front of their friends, family and Jack's Corrie co-stars. Jack and Hanni then headed over to a swanky hotel in the city were the party continued into the evening. However, it seems the partying may have been too much for Colson as he took to social media the following day. The former Craig Tinker star took on a very special role of being part of Jack's groomsmen for the wedding. He was by Jack's side as he said his vows and became a married man. Just before the ceremony, Jack posed for a photo with Colson as they soaked up the moment together. Colson has since shared the snap on his Instagram, but his caption caught the attention of his fans. The Celebrity Big Brother star wrote: "26/8/2025 The Shepherd Wedding." However, many quickly realised Colson had got the date wrong by a month. In the awkward moment, it seemed Colson wanted to quickly correct the mistake as he then shared a blank screen and commented: "Or 26/7/2025," followed by an upside down emoji. Despite Colson's mistake, it didn't stop Jack and Hanni from having the best day of their lives. They hired out the swanky Hallé St Peter's in the city for their reception, where they were joined by even more of their friends and family. Amongst the guests were Lucy Fallon, Tina O'Brien and Julia Golding. Jack's on-screen mum Helen Worth also looked a picture of happiness as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband towards the venue. Jack and Hanni performed their first dance after they revealed they took up dance lessons to prepare for their big day and it certainly paid off. The newlyweds strutted their stuff on the dancefloor before they were joined by their guests to party the night away along to a live band. On Sunday, bride Hanni took to her social media for the first time to share a message as a wife. She posted a series of romantic snaps from the day and gushed: "Introducing Mr & Mrs Shepherd. "Words cannot describe how beautiful yesterday was for us - it was more than perfect the love & energy in the room (and outside) was incredible - our hearts our truly full thank you so much to you all - it means the world to us. "Love is all you need x It took a whole team - a team we couldn't be happier with, thank you so much - we are literally in awe of how talented you all are."

ITV Coronation Street star 'called out' by former co-star over 's****y' move
Colson Smith, Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price have a successful podcast together and during a recent episode, Colson decided to 'call out' Ben over his behaviour Former Coronation Street actor Colson Smith has cheekily "called out" a former co-star for their antics. The 26-year-old, who recently departed from the iconic ITV soap after being informed his character would face a grim end, portrayed the much-loved PC Craig Tinker for over a decade. Tragically, in May, fans were left shocked as they witnessed PC Craig Tinker fall victim to a savage baseball bat assault during a botched arrest. When he's not on screen, Colson hosts the On the Sofa podcast alongside fellow Corrie veterans Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price. Jack has been gracing the cobbles for more than 25 years as David Platt, while Ben stepped into Nick Tilsley's shoes back in 2009. In a recent instalment of their podcast, Colson humorously decided it was time to "call-out" Ben for his dubious handling of their shared Wagamama's loyalty card. With a hint of jest, Colson said: "I want to kick us off, to call out some bad friendship because one of us has been shady." He added with a laugh: "Now I feel like it's two-against-one here and I'm going to say the words soul club. It's s****y" Colson explained the trio regularly head to the restaurant chain and "collect the stamps" to get a free starter or main course "every now and then". Ben says the stamps "build up quite quick" when the three of them go out together. And the last time they went out together, they discovered he had enough stamps for a free main course. Colson said: "On the last time we went for a meal, me and Jack also redeemed saving you probably £18, but we thought, 'That's fine because next time we go, Ben's got a free main, that saves us, I don't know, £4 each'." Ben however went to Wagamama without his co-stars, taking his daughter to the Media City branch in Salford before a live podcast show. He says the family stopped in Salford instead of Bath, where they live, ahead of the show. Colson called the move "full s**t-house" joking Ben was "eating their money". Jack added: "You've only got those stamps because it's a joint effort." Ben recounted how he was offered a 10 per cent ITV worker discount at the restaurant but opted for a more economical choice, jokingly stating: "I said, 'I think I've got a free main which will work out better for me." He continued with a laugh: "It was a thousands pounds [for] a meal for two, I redeemed the thing and it came down to £15. I think you're right to call me out Colson." Jack, Ben, and Colson became friends on the set of Coronation Street and initially started their podcast as the Sofa Cinema Club, rebranding it in 2023. Together, they offer fans a peek into their lives and share behind-the-scenes gossip from their time on Coronation Street.

'No. 1 thing I'm most excited for': Sydney Colson to perform standup comedy set at Fever Fest
INDIANAPOLIS — Sydney Colson is a natural comedian. Whether it's jokingly referring to herself as the face of the league, witty comments to her teammates on social media or parodying commissioner Cathy Engelbert's dress of the New York skyline, she always has something that will make people laugh. 'She's just very sly and witty,' Indiana Fever teammate Caitlin Clark said with a laugh. 'She always has something to say, like, less than a second after you say something.' So, with WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this weekend, it only made sense for Colson to bring her jokes to the big stage. Re-live Caitlin Clark's rookie season with our book Colson will perform a stand-up comedy set at Fever Fest, a music and comedy festival hosted by the Fever and Kevin Hart's Hartbeat Entertainment Company, on Saturday afternoon. It's the first time a host franchise developed its own festival during All-Star weekend. 'That's like the No. 1 thing I'm most excited for,' Fever wing Sophie Cunningham said when asked about Colson's comedy set. 'She is one of my favorite people. She's funny as hell. But I just hope that I'm a little lit, so I can give her a little something when she jumps up on stage.' Colson will be the first person to perform Fever Fest, which begins at 6 p.m. at Everwise Amphitheater in downtown Indy. She will serve as the opener for other acts like The Kid LAROI, G-Easy and Cedric the Entertainer, who will all perform ahead of the All-Star Game. But Colson is keeping her jokes under wraps until then. 'Nah, nah,' Colson said. 'Why would I give that away?' Colson's act comes 2.5 hours before the game starts — possibly allowing her All-Star teammates to check out her set before they head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They'll have to if they want to hear her jokes. 'I'm hoping I can stop by before the game,' Fever center Aliyah Boston said. 'We asked her to let us in on some of her stories but she wouldn't, so I can't wait to hear it all.' And maybe they'll see if she used any of their suggestions. 'I gave her bits to work on,' Clark said with a laugh. 'I don't know if she actually works on them, but I think they're funny, but, yeah, I don't know. I tried to get her to practice on me, her stand up bit, but she won't do it. So, she's got to save it for everybody. But I'm sure it'll be really funny, knowing her.' This will be Colson's first staged comedy event, but she's experienced in the stand up comedy game. She did some standup on the fly last Halloween. For Colson, 35, this is the first step in developing what she's going to do after she's done playing. She wants to break into entertainment, whether it's acting, comedy, or anything else. And there's no better time to start than now. 'It's what I want to do next, or even now,' Colson said. 'I want to act. I want to do standup, so this is the perfect opportunity for me to start getting my foot back in the door again.'

Colson Smith lands huge TV presenting role after brutal Coronation Street axe
The actor left his role as PC Craig Tinker on the ITV soap in May when his alter-ego was brutally killed off, and now the star has already landed a new role. Colson Smith left his role as PC Craig Tinker on Coronation Street when his alter-ego was brutally killed off earlier this year, but he has now landed a new TV role. The former soap star, 26, was seen on Monday's This Morning where he appeared live from Weymouth to host an item on the best sand castles in the UK. Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard introduced viewers to the segment, and an excited Colson began to deliver a piece to camera. Despite being known for starring on the Manchester-based soap, Colson revealed to viewers that he was actually born in Dorset. Joking that the some fans may have been "fooled" by is Northern accent, he explained that his grandparents live just minutes from where he was presenting. Standing in front of a massive sand sculpture, Colson was joined by master and expert Mark Anderson and the pair chatted as they made their way through Sandworld. Mark noted that the sculptures behind them can take anywhere up to a "couple of months" to produce, and Colson set to work building his own castle. Getting his hands dirty, the former Big Brother star joked that a new job offer could be on the table and then took viewers round the famous characters on display at the tourist destination. The attraction already has a host of Disney favourites on display, but Colson left hosts Cat and Ben shocked with the revelation that they have been constructed in sand and seated on the famous ITV sofa. While Ben declared the construction was "amazing", Cat attempted to recreate her sandy alter-ego's pout. Experts revealed that the sculpture had taken over a week to produce, and Colson confirmed to viewers that the pair will be on display all summer. Colson first appeared on Coronation Street in 2011, when he was introduced as the son of Beth Tinker (Lisa George) and she took him along to an ill-fated date with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson.) Over the years, he featured in a number of storylines that saw him battle OCD and then have an on/off romance with Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) before he ultimately qualified as a police office. But things ended in tragedy for Craig when he was murdered by Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton), and Colson recently teased that new things were on the horizon for his career.. While he didn't specify what it was or whether it was TV or something else, he did confirm he was already working on something with other big plans ahead. He spilled: "There are irons in the fire, but I will do the typical showbizzy thing of just teasing. "Everyone always thinks there's nothing going on, but there actually is. So you know, I've got stuff going on. I'm excited. I'm going through the process still of winding down from having been somewhere for 14 years, but I'm excited to see what's next, and hopefully I can find somewhere to go to work and have fun."
