Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd brands wedding guests 'idiots' for one question
Jack P Shepherd has dubbed some of his recent wedding guests "f***ing idiots" for asking a specific question about the proceedings. In a new episode of the On The Sofa podcast with fellow Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ben Price (recorded prior to his marriage to Hanni Treweek), the David Platt actor opened up about his wedding preparations.
On Saturday (July 26), the happy couple tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral, surrounded by loved ones. It included his podcast co-hosts, Colson and Ben, who would serve as his groomsmen on the day.
Jack noted at the time of the recording that it was the "kick-b*****k scramble" week before the wedding, a time when they had to address the "nitty gritty bits", prompting Colson to ask if there had been any cancellations.
He said: "I've had a few f***ing idiots saying things like - it's mainly family." Colson interjected, noting that he was, in fact, a "f***ing idiot", to which Jack replied: "Oh, was ya?"
Jack continued: "Saying stuff like, 'Well, where do we get ready, because the wedding's at two, but we can't check in till three?' I said, 'At f***ing home, you idiot. I mean, where do you think you get ready if you can't get ready in the hotel?"
Elaborating, he pointed out that people could arrive at the hotel and do what "normal people" do by dropping their bags off. Despite this, it appears that the wedding went off without a hitch.
In what they described as "the wedding of our dreams", Jack arrived in a red Mustang and wore an off-white suit, sunglasses and bow-tie. Meanwhile, Hanni, donning a tiara, reportedly wore a skirt and off-the-shoulder top.
Also in attendance were Jack's son, Reuben (whose outfit matched his dad's) and the actor's on-screen mum, Helen Worth, who was accompanied by her husband, Trevor Dawson.
As they left the venue, the newlyweds could be seen beaming and exchanging a number of kisses as they headed to the wedding car, as white confetti cascaded over them.
Jack and Hanni first met on the set of Corrie when she was working as a scriptwriter. Fast forward to over a year ago, and Jack popped the question while the couple enjoyed a safari in Tanzania.
The soap actor first joined the long-running ITV show in April 2000 and has since become a much-loved fixture of the series.
In advance of the big day, Jack took to Instagram to express his thanks to the wedding planners. He wrote: "The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it's looking like it's gonna be amazing!
"We couldn't have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you."

'I'm a rare coin collector – how to spot 50p listed for whopping £15k online'
Some rare coins can sell for an absolute fortune online, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's got the correct price tag. So how do you spot a 50p worth £15,000? It's no secret certain change can hold a mega value, whether it's three £1 coins worth hundreds or a "super rare" 50p coin that could sell for £40,000 online. Now we know rare coins are all the rage at the moment, so do you own this special piece worth loads? Over on Instagram, user @CoinCollectingWizard, who boasts 31,000 followers, revealed how a Paddington Bear piece was listed for an eye-watering £15,000 on eBay. But despite seeing that hefty price tag on selling websites, it doesn't necessarily mean it's worth that staggering amount at all, so how can you tell the difference? The post read: "£15,000 for a Paddington Bear 50p?! Let's find out more... "You've probably seen the headlines or eBay listings claiming someone's selling a Paddington Bear 50p for £15,000... But is it really worth that much?" He added: "No. Not even close." Speaking in the post, the coin expert revealed how these pieces are made in huge numbers, especially the 2018 and 2019 versions showing Paddington at the Station, the Palace, the Tower and St Paul's. "They're fun to collect, but... Anyone can list a coin for any price on eBay," the expert continued: "That doesn't mean it's actually worth it, or that anyone will ever pay it." So how can you tell if it's worth that amount? Paddington Bear 50p coins are worth their value, but in some cases can go for a couple of pounds. But if they're in a sealed collector's pack or a rare error (which is unlikely), this can differ. Also listings which ask for thousands are just trying to trick people who don't know better, the Coin Collecting Wizard admitted. He concluded: "If you see a crazy price online – always check with someone who knows before you get too excited. That's what I'm here for!" The 2018 Paddington Bear 50p coin was issued by The Royal Mint to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic bear. It features Paddington on his suitcase in front of the station, wearing the famous tag around his neck. This is the first time Paddington ever featured on official UK coinage with serious collectors keen to get their claws on one in the best possible condition. Even the newest and shiniest standard collection coins have numerous scratches and marks, but The Royal Mint issue specifically struck collector quality "Brilliant Uncirculated" coins which are guaranteed not to have the scratches and chips.

Jessie J targeted by vile trolls after sharing heartbreak over Hamas hostage video
Jessie J, who this week spoke candidly about her ongoing health struggles following recent surgery for breast cancer, received a torrent of online abuse after an Instagram post Jessie J faced a torrent on online abuse after she shared her sadness at footage of an Israeli hostage captured by Hamas. The singer, 37, called images of emaciated Evyatar David "heartbreaking" as he was forced to dig what appeared to be his own grave. She wrote on Instagram: "I just cannot bear the evil in this world. Please, God, make the suffering end." The Brit Award-winning musician also included a quote from a pro-Israel activist in her post to her 14 million Instagram followers. However, trolls targeted the star, who was recently rushed to hospital with an infection weeks after breast cancer surgery. The abuse comes after Katie Price recently worried her fans on Instagram with a family photo. Following her post, Jessie, from Chadwell Heath, east London, was branded a "disgusting Zionist" while another troll called her a "terrorist and baby killer supporter" among the sickening barrage of abuse. Another vile troll claimed she was trying to keep her "Zio bosses happy". The musician, who has had three UK number one singles, had referred to a hostage who was abducted by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, massacre at the Nova music festival. He has been held in Gaza for the 668 days since then. In addition to her own thoughts, mum-of-one Jessie included a quote from the poem, which read: "I thought images of starved Jews digging their own graves would forever be confined to history books. To see the past become present is a horror. Never Again. Again." Some, though, showed the Londoner their support, thanking her for bringing the horrors to the attention of social media users. One person posted: "Thank for speaking out about the actual horrors going on." Another said: "Thank you for your bravery in speaking out against the treatment of the starving hostages." It was another emotional post from the star, famed for tunes such as Domino and Price Tag, following ones about her health battle. After she was rushed to hospital weeks after her cancer operation, Jessie J joked: "Apparently it's called… Dramatic? I think that's the spelling. My symptoms are the same and no idea what's wrong yet. But my sarcasm and sense of humour are holding on." Filming herself for what she called her first "real‑time" update since her operation, Jessie admitted: "I think people think I'm hanging on by a thread… which in some moments has felt that way." The singer added: "Like two or three days ago when I woke up and I couldn't breathe. I still have pain in my chest when I breathe, but it's not as bad."

Big Brother's new eye REVEALED: ITV recreate iconic logo once again ahead of upcoming series
As one reality show ends, another begins and fans are already counting down the weeks to the start of Big Brother. And the new Big Brother eye logo was revealed in an exclusive promo during Love Island's live final on ITV2 on Monday. The social experiment show will return this autumn for its third year on ITV, running for an extended total of seven weeks. This year's colourful and abstract eye is filled with multiple eye like marbles rolling around inside it like a maze. The short advert also includes eyes rolling down through multicoloured tubes as the new cast get ready to be filmed 24/7. ITV wrote: 'Eye spy with my little eye, something beginning with ready — Big Brother, the original social experiment, returns!' Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best once again welcome an eclectic mix of strangers from across the UK who will all become housemates living under one roof. The nation's most renowned residence, the Big Brother house, will yet again play host to all the mischief and mayhem which has undergone a makeover that's easy on the eye. Viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions as the cast of housemates go up against one another in a bid to be crowned the winner, and walk away with a life-changing cash prize. The reality TV juggernaut first aired on Channel 4 in 2000 before moving to Channel 5 ahead of its eventual axe in 2018. And since its triumphant return to screens in 2023 on its new home ITV and ITVX, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother alongside the iconic Live Stream and Late & Live companion show, has been streamed over 100 million times. Last year's Big Brother saw Ali Bromley crowned series champion with a huge 51.9 per cent of the vote, while her house rival Marcello Spooks finished in second place, despite receiving boos from the crowd throughout the series. Earlier in the tense show, Hanah Haji and Emma Morgan were evicted from the Big Brother house, after Segun Shodipo and Nathan King became the eleventh and twelfth contestants to receive the fewest votes. During her stint in the house, Ali did ruffle feathers with her unbiased opinions on the other housemates, and in particular she clashed with Khaled Khaled who she accused of being 'fake.' Last year's Big Brother saw Ali Bromley crowned series champion with a huge 51.9 per cent of the vote Despite the pair parting on good terms when Khaled was evicted in week five, Ali revealed that their exchange at the show's final was 'brief.' Viewers were also gripped by Nathan's blossoming romance with Rosie Williams, but this proved to be short-lived as the pair split back in February, just three months after leaving the show. Nathan shared that they 'amicably' decided to part ways, after they both realised they were 'better off as friends'. Nathan and Rosie met when they entered the Big Brother house in October, and they previously told MailOnline they first grew closer after the first eviction, seven days in. While Nathan said he made it 'glaringly obvious' he wanted to pursue a relationship with Rosie on the outside, they finally got the chance to discuss their feelings when the house was evacuated due to a fire alarm. However, unbeknownst to them, their chat was still picked up by their microphones, and part of it was aired on Late and Live as part of a bombshell episode which revealed their romance for the first time.
