2025 NFL Comeback Player Of The Year Odds: Prescott, Hutchinson Top Oddsboard

The 2025-26 NFL season kicks off in a little over two months, and bettors are already eyeing the odds for Comeback Player of the Year. Last season, Cincinnati's Joe Burrow took home the award. As a matter of fact, he's one of only two players ever to win the award twice. Burrow missed the last seven games of the 2023 season after suffering a wrist injury. In his comeback campaign, he passed for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns, and both were best in the NFL. So who takes home the hardware for the 2025-26 season? Let's look at the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of July 9. AP Comeback Player of the Year 2025-26 Dak Prescott, Cowboys: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total)Aidan Hutchinson, Lions: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total)Christian McCaffrey, 49ers: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total)Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars: +450 (bet $10 to win $55 total)J.J. McCarthy, Vikings: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)Rashee Rice, Chiefs: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)Maxx Crosby, Raiders: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)Daniel Jones, Giants: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)Nick Chubb, Browns: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)Anthony Richardson, Colts: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total) The player with the shortest odds, at +250, is Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott only played eight games for the Cowboys last year before sustaining a hamstring injury that required season-ending surgery. Speaking of Prescott, Aidan Hutchinson — who is tied atop the board — broke his leg in Week 6 of last season while tackling the Cowboys' QB. Rounding out the top three, at +350, is San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey, whose injury woes started during training camp last season. Then, a PCL injury in Week 12 sidelined him for the rest of the year. Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Home burglary nixes Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's Batmobile purchase

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was the victim of a home burglary in December in Cincinnati. File Photo by Bonnie Cash/UPI July 8 (UPI) -- Joe Burrow canceled his widely-publicized Batmobile purchase because of his December home burglary, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback said on the new season of Netflix's Quarterback, released Tuesday. "I didn't end up getting the Batmobile because I just had other things I wanted to deal with at that point," Burrow said on the sixth episode of the second season of the show. Advertisement Burrow, 28, revealed during a practice last year that he purchased one of 10 Batmobiles -- sold for nearly $3 million -- manufactured for home use. The Bengals star's revelation of the planned purchase was chronicled on HBO's Hard Knocks. The 5,511-pound replicas of the famous vehicle feature 525-horsepower engines, paddle shifters, imitation gun turrets, a smoke screen delivery system and jet engine simulation. They are made from frame-tubular aeronautical steel, Kevlar, carbon fiber and sheet metal fiberglass. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won Comeback Player of the Year honors for the second time in four years for his efforts during the 2024-25 NFL season. File Photo by John Sommers II/UPI Burrow also revealed on Quarterback that he tries to maintain a certain level of privacy in his life and considered moving after the burglary. He said now that the world knows where he lives, it "hasn't been very fun to deal with." Advertisement "When you are on cloud nine, something is going to bring you right back down," Burrow said. "That just felt like the kind of year that it was." Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led the NFL with 4,918 passing yards and 43 passing touchdowns over 17 starts in 2024-25. File Photo by John Sommers II/UPI Burrow's home burglary occurred while the Bengals were in Dallas for a Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. Thieves took more than $300,000 worth of jewelry and other items. Several men were arrested and indicted for federal crimes earlier this year for their roles in the burglary. "They got all my jewelry, but they could have stolen way worse things than that," Burrow told former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in an exchanged filmed on Quarterback. "I'm not going crazy about some jewelry. It was expensive, but it was all insured." Advertisement Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million pact with the Bengals in 2023. "My life is very public," Burrow said. "And it comes with the job, but there are certain parts of your life that are like, yours. Your house is one of those. When that gets violated, people find out where you live and all these different things. "Not everybody's failures at their job are in front of the whole world. It's a very vulnerable position to be in. I put myself in that position because I love it. I don't like the other part of it."

Randy Moss returning to ESPN's 'Sunday NFL Countdown' in 2025, per report

The Hall of Famer is making another comeback. Randy Moss is returning to ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" for the 2025 season, per The Athletic's Andrew Marchand. The network announced on Dec. 6, 2024 that Moss would be stepping away from the show and Moss later revealed in an Instagram livestream he was recovering from surgery to treat cancer. Advertisement Moss explained in the livestream that he'd been treated for cancer found outside of his bile duct between his pancreas and liver. In all, he spent six days in the hospital for surgery, treatment and recovery in Charlotte, North Carolina. Less than two months later, Moss made an appearance on ESPN during Super Bowl 59, his first since undergoing cancer treatment. He'd also appeared virtually during the NFL Honors broadcast to announce the winner of the Comeback Player of the Year award, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Now, Moss is set for a full return for the 2025 NFL season. This year marks his 10th with ESPN. He'll be back on "Sunday NFL Countdown" starting in Week 1. MLB AL Comeback Player of the Year Predictions: Odds, expert picks, including Jacob deGrom and Byron Buxton

The American League Comeback Player of the Year market has been an intriguing race that is now showing heavy favoritism toward the Texas Rangers' Jacob deGrom at -260 odds per FanDuel Sportsbook and rightfully so. deGrom is in the drivers seat with a 7-2 record 2.24 ERA, and 87 strikeouts to 18 walks over 15 starts. His only metrics that sit around league average, per baseball savant, are the ground ball rate and exit velocity, everything else is considered elite. He's been downright dominant, but will he hold up is the question? deGrom baseball savant metrics as of June 25, 2025 After deGrom's next outing, the 37-year-old will have pitched his most games in a single season since 2019. Only four times in his career has he cracked the 30 start mark and 2019 was the last time that happened. Advertisement It's hard to trust that stat, but for most of the players on this list — their bodies betraying them once or twice is the reason why they are in this category as I'd like to say. One player, that seems to be always injured, but is coming off his second-highest year of games played is Minnesota's Byron Buxton (+430). That's who I think is the best bet in this field to take down deGrom, not the Tigers' duo of Spencer Torkelson (+900) or Javier Baez (+1000), and certainly not the Angels' Mike Trout (+9000) who I leaned heavily as the frontrunner for this award in the first month of this season. Last year, Buxton dealt with right knee inflammation in May and right hip inflammation later in the year, yet he still played 102 games, which ranks only behind 140 played in 2017. So the start to this season has been a terrific sign for Buxton, much like deGrom. Advertisement Let's travel back in time some more. Buxton set a career-high 28 homers over 92 games in 2022 and appears ready to shatter that this year with 17 dingers through 62 games, which is one less homer through 40 fewer games from last season — in another words, the man is cooking the baseball this season. Not to mention, he's batting .280, has 47 RBIs with a 2.8 WAR and having his best month of the season in June (.313 BA, 7 HR, 17 RBI). It's hard to ignore Buxton's power, but we also can't ignore the fact that he's been one of the most efficient baserunners with 13 stolen bags to 0 caught stealing, elite batting run value and one of the best hard-hit percentages in baseball. While Buxton has a habit of chasing and striking out too much (73 Ks to 23 BB), that may be one of the only major negatives to his game so far. He has 46 runs scored and 69 is his career-high, plus he's only gone over 100 hits once in his career (currently at 66 hits in 62 games). He's taking his swings and not worrying about the misses, which speaks to his confidence this season. Byron Buxton baseball savant hitting chart as of June 25, 2025 There is a lot to like about Buxton at the +430 price and while I see and hear why deGrom should and could win, I will ride with the value on Buxton as he is set to have a career-year as a hitter and could go toe-to-toe at the end of the season versus deGrom for this award. Ex-New York Giants QB boldly predicted to win Comeback Player of the Year Award

The Daniel Jones era came to an end midway through the 2024 season for the New York Giants, and it was the right move for both sides. Though the Giants had already signed him to a $160 million contract during the prior offseason, the fit simply wasn't working for either side. Now, Jones is with the Indianapolis Colts and has a chance to take the starting job from the polarizing Anthony Richardson. Advertisement In a way-too-early bold predictions article from Jeffri Chadiha of Jones was predicted to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award with his new team. Now, Jones gets to work with a creative offensive head coach in Shane Steichen, who happens to be the same man who helped take Jalen Hurts from raw talent to MVP-caliber quarterback in Philadelphia. Steichen likes quarterbacks who can move, and his time with Hurts proved that he could think outside of the box when it comes to maximizing a signal-caller's strengths. Steichen easily could be the man to take Jones to another level, especially when considering the Colts have better skill players and offensive line play than Jones ever enjoyed in New York. Nobody saw Darnold taking off when he arrived in Minnesota. Jones could do similar things in Indy if he stays healthy. While it's true the Colts probably have a better offensive line than what Jones has had to work with in New York, they've never had an elite talent like Malik Nabers in the receiver room. He should get the benefit of a solid rushing attack with Jonathan Taylor leading the way there as well. It would be quite the narrative for general manager Joe Schoen if Jones wound up reviving his career and winning the award just one season after Saquon Barkley went nuclear and entered the MVP conversation. It would take a lot for Jones to reach that level again with the Colts, but the Giants are now focused on their new direction with Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart under center.
