'Both are coming out of this financially secure': Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness' divorce made official as settlement details surface

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially finalised their divorce, it has been revealed. The Australian actors, who met on the set of Corelli in 1995 and wed the following year, share two children: Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19. According to court records obtained by the Daily Mail, a judgment of divorce was filed on June 12, though it wasn't made public until Monday. Additional documents were filed two days earlier on June 10, including a 'Qualified Medical Child Support Order' relating to insurance, and a filing titled 'Findings of Fact/Conclusions of Law'. While the divorce was effectively wrapped up earlier this month, the paperwork required a final sign-off from a judge before it was formally entered. Sources close to the couple say the settlement process was handled behind closed doors, with Furness reportedly walking away satisfied with the terms. Last month, an insider told the outlet that "a settlement was reached" that the Force of Nature: The Dry 2 star was "pleased with". "There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved," the source said. "Both are coming out of this financially secure. "There is not going to be any drama with this- it gives closure that she needed." The divorce documents, filed by Furness' lawyer Elena Karabatos, include a certificate of dissolution, a proposed judgment of divorce, a proposed child support order, a continuation of health care notice, and a state registry form for child support. A second source claimed Jackman, who is now dating his former Broadway costar Sutton Foster, is "looking forward to the future and not looking back". As of May 2025, the Wolverine star's estimated net worth sits at USD$180 million, while Furness is worth around USD$70 million. The pair did not sign a prenuptial agreement, which reportedly complicated the division of their sizeable property portfolio spread across the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. News of the finalised divorce comes just a day after a close friend revealed that Furness, despite receiving multiple offers from eligible bachelors, is in no rush to date again. "She is not jaded by men, but is taking the time to heal," the friend said. "She has turned down dates from some incredible guys. "She knows what she brings to the table. Once the dust settles on this divorce, she will be open to dating again.'

Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness finalize divorce after 27 years of marriage

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have finalized their divorce. Furness filed for divorce from the "Deadpool & Wolverine" star on May 23. According to court records from New York's Suffolk County Supreme Court, the divorce was granted on June 3. News of the divorce comes two years after Jackman and Furness announced in in September 2023 that they were separating after 27 years of marriage. The former couple shared a joint statement about their split at the time, saying their "journey is now shifting" and that they have "decided to separate to pursue our individual growth." They vowed to put their family first and to embark on their next chapters "with gratitude, love, and kindness." At the time, Jackman and Furness had just celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. The duo married in April 1996 after meeting the previous year on the set of the Australian TV series "Corelli." They share two children, son Oscar Maximilian Jackman and daughter Ava Eliot Jackman. In May 2025, Furness shared a statement with People, in which she opened up about the emotional toll of her and Jackman's breakup. "My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep," she said at the time. "However, I believe in a higher power and that God or the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us." Furness added that this belief helped her navigate the end of her decadeslong marriage. "I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose," she said then. "It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom."

Sutton Foster dodges questions on red carpet amid Hugh Jackman romance

Broadway star Sutton Foster has made her first public outing since explosive claims linking her to Hugh Jackman amid his bitter divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness Sutton Foster turned heads at the 69th Annual Drama Desk Awards - but made sure to dodge any mention of her romance with Hugh Jackman. The 50-year-old actress walked the red carpet alone amid speculation over her connection to the Wolverine star, 56, whose messy divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness has sparked widespread chatter. Furness, 69, officially filed for divorce two years after their separation and broke her silence in a powerful message which was seemingly aimed at her ex. 'My heart and compassion go out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she said. ‌ Unbothered by the drama, Foster smiled for photos with costar Michael Urie but avoided press and exited the red carpet quickly, escorted by her publicist. While other stars like Nicole Scherzinger and Debra Messing gave interviews, Foster steered clear. ‌ This was her first public appearance since Furness's sharp words. She was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical alongside names like Darren Criss and Jonathan Groff - who all stopped to chat with media. Adding fuel to the rumor mill, Foster is reportedly 'slowly moving' into Jackman's New York penthouse - the same $22 million Chelsea home he bought with Furness in 2022. 'They're living together, they're inseparable... She's slowly migrating her things over to Hugh's place,' a source told New Idea. 'Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own - the place she poured her soul into.' Jackman was recently spotted helping Foster carry boxes into the luxury apartment. Days later, she was seen biking away from the building. In her exclusive interview with Mail Online, Furness made her feelings painfully clear: 'Hugh's betrayal is a profound wound that cuts deep.' ‌ 'However I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us. This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage,' she said. 'Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' The former couple filed for divorce in New York on 23 May. They then announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Jackman, best known for playing Wolverine in the X-men film series, has not responded directly to Furness's statement. The pair met on the set of the Australian TV show Corelli in 1995, shortly after Jackman had left drama school. They married the following year and later adopted two children.
