Sutton Foster dodges questions on red carpet amid Hugh Jackman romance
Sutton Foster turned heads at the 69th Annual Drama Desk Awards - but made sure to dodge any mention of her romance with Hugh Jackman. The 50-year-old actress walked the red carpet alone amid speculation over her connection to the Wolverine star, 56, whose messy divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness has sparked widespread chatter.
Furness, 69, officially filed for divorce two years after their separation and broke her silence in a powerful message which was seemingly aimed at her ex. 'My heart and compassion go out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she said.
Unbothered by the drama, Foster smiled for photos with costar Michael Urie but avoided press and exited the red carpet quickly, escorted by her publicist. While other stars like Nicole Scherzinger and Debra Messing gave interviews, Foster steered clear.
This was her first public appearance since Furness's sharp words. She was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical alongside names like Darren Criss and Jonathan Groff - who all stopped to chat with media.
Adding fuel to the rumor mill, Foster is reportedly 'slowly moving' into Jackman's New York penthouse - the same $22 million Chelsea home he bought with Furness in 2022.
'They're living together, they're inseparable... She's slowly migrating her things over to Hugh's place,' a source told New Idea. 'Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own - the place she poured her soul into.'
Jackman was recently spotted helping Foster carry boxes into the luxury apartment. Days later, she was seen biking away from the building. In her exclusive interview with Mail Online, Furness made her feelings painfully clear: 'Hugh's betrayal is a profound wound that cuts deep.'
'However I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us. This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage,' she said.
'Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.'
The former couple filed for divorce in New York on 23 May. They then announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Jackman, best known for playing Wolverine in the X-men film series, has not responded directly to Furness's statement.
The pair met on the set of the Australian TV show Corelli in 1995, shortly after Jackman had left drama school. They married the following year and later adopted two children.

Special meaning behind Kelly Osbourne's stunning custom engagement ring
The beautiful ring has a very special meaning meaning with a nod to Kelly's late friend Joan Rivers - but it also has a very sweet meaning that makes it all the more personal to her Kelly Osbourne has got engaged to partner Sid Wilson after Ozzy Osbourne's final gig with Black Sabbath and her ring has a very special meaning personal to her. On Saturday, Ozzy officially ended his Prince of Darkness reign as he appeared on stage for one final time. The rock icon, 76, joined his Black Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park, Birmingham in one of the most epic farewell shows in music history. After the incredible show, the Osbourne family were treated to a beautiful surprise backstage as Kelly's longtime partner Sid got down on one knee and popped the question. Taking to Instagram to share the joyful news, Kelly, 40, posted the sweet video of Sid's proposal as he asked to spend the rest of his life with the former reality TV star. Alongside the video, Kelly wrote: "Oh, and this happened yesterday." In the heartwarming clip, Sharon is heard saying: "We've got to be quiet, hold on," as she shushed the crew backstage at show. Kelly's now fiancé is then heard saying: "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world. However, Sid's romantic proposal was swiftly interrupted by a playful Ozzy who shouted: "F*** off! You're not marrying my daughter." Clearly familiar with Ozzy's banter, Sid laughs and continues asking Kelly the all-important question. He continues: "Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?". Kelly then turns around with a look of shock on her face before holding her hands up to her face and nodding 'yes'. MailOnline has now revealed how the beautiful meaning behind the ring and how it paid tribute to his partner's late friend Joan Rivers who died in 2014 aged 81. Sid reportedly wanted the ring to nod to a nickname both he and the Joan had for Kelly. He said: "So I have a nickname for Kelly, and it's "Honeybee" and coincidentally a friend of hers, Joan Rivers used to call her this. It was a nickname [Joan] had for her. I didn't know this, it's like an amazing coincidence, it's like whoa, like meant to be." Kelly had landed the sweet nickname due to her always 'buzzing around' and 'spreading good energy' so wanted the ring to be inspired by bees and pollen. The ring's design features a unique beehive inspired structure making it all the more sentimental. The MailOnline reports that it is a 18K yellow gold ring with both white and yellow diamonds, as well as citrine accents, and the centre piece is a stunning 2.5 carat round brilliant-cut diamond, symbolising the multifaceted nature of love.

The once-popular baby names now on the verge of extinction in Australia - so is yours on the list?
Baby names millions of parents loved in the '90s and early 2000s are now rapidly falling out of fashion in Australia. The latest Baby Names report by McCrindle reveals that many of the country's once popular baby names are slipping - or have slipped - out of the top 100 and could soon disappear altogether. For boys, the biggest drop has been the name Jake - which has plunged a significant 276 places in the rankings since 2010. Once a classroom staple, the name is now close to extinction. Other names that have seen significant declines include Tyler, Matthew, Hayden and Mitchell, all of which were in the top 40 just over a decade ago and are now out of the top 100. Blake, Dylan, Connor, Nicholas and Luke, long considered safe and solid choices, have also fallen off the list. And while traditional biblical names like Benjamin, Daniel and Jacob are declining, their counterparts - Noah, Elijah, Ezra and Levi - are on the rise, signalling a shift in taste among Gen Alpha parents. For girls, it's an even sharper fall. Jessica, once the 'queen of baby names' in Australia, has dropped 270 places since 2010. At its peak in the mid-1990s, one in every 30 baby girls was named Jessica. Now, it's barely used. Other girls' names following a similar path include Chelsea, Alyssa, Tahlia, Sarah, Holly, Madison, Hayley, Lilly and Lara - all of which have tumbled from their former top 40 positions and no longer appear in the top 100. Even stylish favourites like Harlow, Quinn, Cleo and Thea have now been edged out of the top 100 in 2025, showing just how quickly trends can change. So, why the sudden shift? Experts say it's all about originality. Parents are increasingly looking for names that feel fresh but aren't too 'out-there'. Shorter, punchier names with two syllables - like Isla, Leo, Luca and Mila - are dominating the charts, while old-fashioned, vintage-sounding names like Florence, Arthur and Violet are making strong comebacks. Pop culture and global influence also play a huge role. Names from streaming shows, viral TikTok trends and international celebrity babies are all shaping what Australian parents find fashionable. According to McCrindle, today's parents are after a name that feels stylish and unique - but still easy to pronounce at the playground. But don't be too quick to mourn the loss of Jessica or Jake just yet. Naming trends are cyclical - what disappears now could make a triumphant return in 20 years as a 'retro classic'.
