James Gunn responds to Snyder fan urging spoilers and review bombing of Superman

Since the announcement of James Gunn's DC Universe (DCU) replacing Zack Snyder's DC Extended Universe (DCEU), a segment of devoted Snyder fans has launched a negative campaign against the new direction, including upcoming DCU projects. James Gunn responds to a Snyder fan urging people to spoil and review bomb #Superman "I think we will survive. I'm not sure the eight people that listen to that guy are going to impact the course of events" — Culture Crave 🍿 (@CultureCrave) June 16, 2025 The latest backlash targeted Superman, the first film in Gunn's DCU, set for release on July 11, 2025. A Snyder supporter took to Reddit to encourage users to spoil and review bomb the film. A screenshot of the post caught the attention of James Gunn, who responded directly, writing, 'Lol I think we will survive. I'm not sure the eight people that listen to that guy (I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's a guy) are going to impact the course of events.' Let's be honest. James and Zack are friends. I loved Zack's movies and I will probably love James Gunn movies! I love both James and Zack. — Alaska (@Alaska0420) June 16, 2025 The comment quickly drew attention online, sparking a variety of fan reactions. Many supported Gunn's stance and condemned the negativity. One user noted, 'Let's be honest. James and Zack are friends. I loved Zack's movies and I will probably love James Gunn's movies too.' Another added, 'As a Snyder fan, that's trash. Let people enjoy the movie… we had a good run with the DCEU.' A third pointed out, 'Funny thing is the majority of Snyder fanboys aren't even CBM fans. They just get annoyed when others like a movie.' James Gunn responds to a Snyder fan urging people to spoil and review bomb #Superman "I think we will survive. It follows the DCU's animated debut Creature Commandos and precedes titles like Peacemaker season 2, Lanterns, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and Clayface. As a Snyder fan, that's trash. Let people enjoy the movie. Marvel's ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps' Reveals Mole Man as New Villain

Ahead of a movie premiere, virtually everything involving Marvel seems to be calculated. This is why the latest tidbit to surface before the release of Fantastic Four: First Steps was even more noteworthy. The latest Marvel movie will hit theaters on July 25, 2025, and slowly but surely, a few small leaks have come to light. The most recent came during a panel with the cast at CCXP Mexico, as Culture Crave revealed on X. During the clip, Joseph Quinn, who will play Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the new Fantastic Four film, dropped the news that a second villain is debuting in the film: Mole Man. "It's certainly a very stacked cast. We've got a lot of fantastic characters in there," said Quinn. "There's also Mole Man, who is wonderful in it. But Galactus is the big bad." The big question is whether Quinn made this comment on purpose or if it was a slip-up by the 31-year-old actor. Considering how tight-lipped Marvel likes to keep things ahead of movie releases, it'd be a surprise if Quinn dropped this out of nowhere when he was supposed to keep it under wraps. As Collider detailed, Mole Man is one of the Fantastic Four's "classic enemies in the comics" and appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 in 1961. As the site explains, there's no clear answer as to who will play Mole Man, but Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich's roles are still 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' Reveals Mole Man as New Villain first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 2, 2025

Pedro Pascal's Emotional Final Goodbye From ‘The Last of Us' Set Was Caught on Camera

Pedro Pascal was integral in building one of the most popular video game adaptations in recent memory, starring as Joel Miller in HBO's The Last of Us television series. The show is strongly based on the popular video game with the same title, which was first released in 2013. However, with the television series sticking to the storyline from the video games, the expectation of many fans for Season 2 signaled the end of the road for Pascal's character. While some held out optimism that Joel's death in The Last of Us Season 2 wouldn't come until later, the band-aid was ripped off quickly. Pascal was part of some additional filming even after Joel's death, but his time on The Last of Us set has officially ended. Culture Crave revealed a video of Pascal's final goodbye from the set, featuring a strong message from the popular actor. "You guys are the best that I've ever seen and been a part of, there's nobody like you guys," Pascal said to the cast and crew. Not surprisingly, Pascal received loud applause during his departure, and the clip left fans of the show voicing their appreciation, sadness and disappointment that he'll no longer be on the show. "He's main reason I watched the show now he's gone I no longer have to watch I can watch him in marvel universe now," wrote one fan. "Kinda funny how the most recent episode was one of the best in the season, and it had the most of Joel in it... other than the 1st episode... which was also great," added another. "He did great! wouldn't be surprised to see him snag multiple awards this year," praised one fan. "Pedro Pascal what a guy man," replied one fan with a heart emoji. "I miss u Joel," said one fan with a crying emoji. The bulk of the responses from fans were fueled by sadness and disappointment that Pascal and his character are officially no longer in the show. Many fans praised the actor as the best part of The Last of Us, and feel it won't be the same without him. Both seasons of The Last of Us currently boast an impressive 95% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, there's a stark difference in the audience score between the two seasons, with the first sitting at 63% and the second at 39%.
