Rajamahendravaram: Member of Parliament for Rajamahendravaram Daggubati Purandeswari met South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Tuesday at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad to discuss railway development plans within her constituency. She explained the meeting details. According to the MP, during the meeting, Purandeswari highlighted the delay in the main Rajamahendravaram railway station development works. She pointed out that despite Rs 271 crore being sanctioned for the project six months ago, tenders have yet to be called. She urged the General Manager to immediately float tenders and commence work, emphasising the need to complete the station's development and make it accessible to passengers by the Godavari Pushkarams in 2027. General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava assured the MP that tenders would be called within two to three days, and the first phase of the work would commence immediately. The meeting was attended by various railway officials, including railway union leader Unni Krishnan, BJP leaders Nagendra, and PM Krishna, among others.

Rajamahendravaram: Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari described the Mega Parent-Teacher Meet as a visionary initiative that plays a key role in shaping the nation's future. She said she felt privileged to participate in such a meaningful platform that fosters holistic development. Addressing the gathering at the Government Girls High School near Kotipalli Bus Stand in Rajamahendravaram, the MP stressed the need to instil awareness of Indian culture among students from an early age. She said it is the shared responsibility of both parents and teachers to mould students into responsible citizens. She lauded the initiative that brings teachers and parents together for direct dialogue, calling it both innovative and impactful. 'Students must be taught not just academic subjects, but also moral values,' she said, adding that today's children will be tomorrow's problem-solvers in society. Highlighting the importance of recognising talent without exerting pressure, the MP said that nurturing children's abilities in a stress-free environment is crucial for their growth. A special highlight of the event was a karate demonstration by students, which drew wide appreciation. MP Purandeswari congratulated the participants and encouraged every girl to learn martial arts for self-defence. District School Education Officer K Vasudeva Rao and School Headmistress Sarada Devi, and others participated.

Rajamahendravaram: Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari stated that the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is giving top priority to infrastructure development across the state. On Tuesday, she participated in several development programmes in the Rajahmundry Rural constituency, alongside local MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary. In Satellite City's C Block, she laid the foundation stone for the first-floor construction of a BC Multipurpose Community Hall, taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh. She also inaugurated road and drainage works worth Rs 2.2 crore across various areas of Satellite City. In D Block of Hukumpeta Panchayat, the MP and MLA jointly laid the foundation stone for road and drainage construction projects amounting to Rs 93 lakh. In Bommuru village, the duo initiated the construction of a new health centre at Vivekananda Charitable Hospital with an estimated budget of Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, road and drainage works worth Rs 3 crore were launched in Murali Konda and Madhura Nagar localities. TDP State Health Wing General Secretary Gorantla Ravi Ram Kiran and other leaders participated in these programmes.

Rajamahendravaram: BJP state president and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari stated that the past 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance have significantly transformed India's development landscape, bringing the benefits of progress directly to the people. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP office here on Sunday, she said Modi, having personally experienced poverty, introduced numerous schemes focused on the welfare of the poor after assuming office in 2014. 'His tenure has seen a balanced emphasis on both development and welfare,' she noted, adding that the PM is moving ahead with an unwavering commitment to achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. She said that before 2014, only 7 crore people had access to banking. Thanks to the Jan Dhan Yojana, over 55 crore people now benefit from banking services. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, safe drinking water has reached 15 crore people, and 12 crore toilets were built under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Purandeswari also spoke of key welfare schemes like the Ayushman Bharat health insurance programme, which has provided healthcare worth Rs 1.3 lakh crore to 9 crore citizens, and affordable medicines through Jan Aushadhi stores. Reports by IMF, UNDP, and World Bank have affirmed that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty and poverty rates have dropped by 25%, she said. She praised digital governance, citing that 49 per cent of global digital payments now happen in India, with 95 crores smartphones in use nationwide. She credited direct benefit transfers (DBT) for curbing corruption and ensuring transparency. On Andhra Pradesh, she criticised the previous government's neglect of Amaravati but welcomed the current state government's renewed focus. She noted the Centre's Rs 15,000 crore funding through the World Bank and Rs 11,000 crore from HUDCO for Amaravati, in addition to Rs 20,000 crore for regional connectivity are making Amaravati a reality. She also spoke of Centre's continued support for the Polavaram project and Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. On a diplomatic front, she expressed pride in being part of India's diplomatic delegation post-Operation Sindoor, visiting six nations, including the UK, Germany, and France to counter global misinformation on terrorism. At the end of the event, Purandeswari was felicitated by MLC Somu Veerraju, BJP district president P. Nagendra, and other leaders.

Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Daggubati Purandeswari said the state unit would conduct Viksit Bharat Sankalp meetings in all mandals of the state from Monday onwards to enlighten people about the outcome of 11 years of BJP-led NDA rule in the country. She said the BJP district and state leaders would highlight the developmental works and welfare schemes being implemented in the country. Purandeswari on Saturday conducted an audio conference with the leaders of mandal, district and state and urged the them to conduct the Viksit Bharat Sankalp meetings in a grand fashion and make it successful. She said pamphlets would be distributed to people in the villages on the BJP rule, achievements and objectives. The BJP state unit chief said that India had emerged a strong economy under the BJP rule over the last 11 years and the country ranked the fourth largest economy in the world. She said that the BJP-led government was focusing on the development of infrastructure, construction of irrigation projects, strengthening the defence sector and giving priority to the agriculture sector.
