Bhad Bhabie Sued For Nearly $700K By American Express

OnlyFans model Bhad Bhabie, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, is being sued by American Express in a new lawsuit that alleges she breached her contract and failed to repay nearly $700,000 in debt. The news stands in stark contrast to claims the internet personality made just over a year ago, when she stated she had earned millions of dollars from the subscription-based platform. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, which were filed on July 2, 2025, in Los Angeles, Bhad Bhabie, who first gained internet traction after going viral during an episode of "Dr. Phil," has been sued by American Express over a hefty six-figure sum. The lawsuit states that the 22-year-old has failed to pay her $674,452.40 balance, which American Express claims is a breach of contract. 'Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants' permission on the American Express account XXXX‑XXXX‑X5000 (the 'Account')," the filing read. "Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.' The legal documents claim that Bhad Bhabie, who also released her debut mixtape, "15," in 2018, entered into an agreement with American Express on April 21, 2021. However, the "Bestie" performer stopped making payments in December 2024, according to court filings. American Express is seeking the full balance owed to them, along with damages for breach of contract, according to PEOPLE. Hours after news broke that American Express was suing Bhad Bhabie for nearly $700,000, the outspoken media personality denied the allegations in a new statement to The Shade Room. "Sh-t not true," she told the publication. "Where do they get this sh-t from?" In the comment section of The Shade Room's post, fans shared their thoughts about the 22-year-old's complicated financial situation. "It's definitely true," a user wrote, while another posted, "I owe them too. It's okay boo." A third user clearly agreed, adding, "If American Express said you did it, babes, you did it." One user asked how a person could even rack up such a high credit card bill, while another questioned the motive American Express would have to lie about the situation. Another questioned whether accepting a high credit line was financially responsible, considering Bhad Bhabie once claimed to be a multi-millionaire. "They set you up and waited until you were at your lowest [and] now you owe," they wrote. "And your credit [is] going down the drain." According to a report from Complex, Bhad Bhabie once claimed that she earned over $70 million from performing on OnlyFans since joining the platform. That figure, however, isn't necessarily surprising, considering she told streamer DDG that she grossed over a million dollars in six hours during her first day in April 2021. "When we first started, I made a million dollars in six hours," she shared. "And by the end of day it was like $4 million." "Now, overall, the net on it is like $75 million," she added before saying she's used the money to purchase properties and vehicles. According to a screenshot shared online, from April 2021 to July 2024, the rapper generated over $24 million in subscriptions, $32 million from private messages, and more than $500,000 from tips. In a previous interview, Bhad Bhabie revealed her thought process behind joining the subscription-based platform. 'Since I was young, I've been called names and told that I'm doing this and that,' she said. 'I thought, 'You know what, I might as well make money from it.' I'm not gonna lie, I did definitely expect for it to be the biggest sh-t ever for the website. I figured I was one of the biggest people to do it, and it was going to do amazing. But even after I made one, [the success still] shocked me.'

Viral Dr Phil star Bhad Bhabie hit with £494,000 lawsuit

Once known for her viral 'Cash Me Outside' catchphrase, Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) turned online notoriety into a multimillion-dollar empire through music and OnlyFans Danielle Bregoli, better known to the world as rapper and OnlyFans powerhouse Bhad Bhabie, who gained viral fame after her appearance on Dr. Phil, could be facing legal trouble as American Express files a lawsuit against her for a whopping $674,452.40 (£494,030) in alleged unpaid credit card debt. Court documents filed this week show the credit card company is suing the 22-year-old for breach of contract, claiming she defaulted on a credit agreement tied to an account issued in April 2021. The account in question, ending in 5000, allegedly stopped receiving payments around December 19, 2023. 'Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants' permission on the American Express account...' the legal filing states, according to People. 'Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.' American Express is now reportedly seeking full repayment of the outstanding balance, along with damages for the alleged breach. Despite the size of the debt, Bregoli dismissed the claims in a blunt statement to The Shade Room, saying: 'S** not true. Where do they get this s*** from?*' The lawsuit comes just days after the influencer and entrepreneur gave an interview to Interview magazine, where she reflected on her controversial success on adult content platform OnlyFans. 'A good way to make a lot of money fast,' she said of the platform, where she reportedly earns nearly $1.5 million a month. Since joining OnlyFans shortly after turning 18, Bregoli has repeatedly claimed she's earned over $75 million, even showing receipts to back up the figure. In 2021, Billboard confirmed she pulled in $1 million within just six hours of launching her account, breaking platform records at the time. Despite her wealth, she admitted to spending heavily on 'properties, cars, and all type of s**.*' Currently, her subscription fee stands at $23.99 (£17.50) per month. Bregoli shot to fame in 2016 when, as a 13-year-old, she appeared on Dr. Phil in a now-infamous episode titled: 'I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter…' During the segment, she clapped back at a laughing audience with the line: 'Catch me outside, how about that?', which quickly went viral as 'cash me ousside, how bout dah.' That moment launched a meme empire, a music career, and eventually a digital empire. But now, despite her millions, Bregoli may be facing some very serious financial woes. The Mirror has contacted Danielle Bregoli's representatives for comment on this story.

Back in November 2024, she shared that she was taking cancer medication after facing speculation about her recent weight loss. "I'm Sorry my cancer medicine made me loose weight. Im slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives," she wrote. On Wednesday, Feb. 19, the "Gucci Flip Flops" rapper shared an Instagram story of her dramatic new platinum blonde hair and bangs. In a clip shared on IG page, she danced in white pajamas, mouthing the lyrics to an upcoming song, "Ms. Whitman," which is a rumored follow-up to her alleged Alabama Barker diss track "Over Cooked."
