Drivers facing delays on south Essex M25 Dartford Crossing approach
TRAFFIC is slow moving on the approach to the Dartford Crossing QEII Bridge as south Essex drivers are hit by delays. According to Essex Travel News, traffic flow from Junction 30 to the QEII Bridge is facing significant delays. Disruption is also reported on the A13 towards the M25 at Junction 30. An update from Essex Travel News, operated by Essex County Council's traffic control, states: "M25 clockwise – slow traffic from J30 (A13) to the QE2 Bridge. Also slow traffic on A13 approaching the M25 at J30." A later update has confirmed that the disruption is ongoing and potentially worsening at the approach to the crossing. Traffic from Dartford into south Essex appears to be moving without delay.

A CRASH on the M25 clockwise is causing severe delays before Dartford Crossing this morning. Half-hour delays are expected for commuters on the major link road this morning after a crash earlier this morning, with tailbacks between J29 A127 Southend Arterial Road and the A282. Three mile queues are reported with average speeds of 10mph, with incident reported at the Queen Elizabeth II bridge and traffic building over the crossing. M25 closed near Dartford Crossing after van overturns in horror crash as drivers face hour-long delays
THE M25 has closed near the Dartford Crossing after a van overturned in a horror crash. Drivers are urged to plan ahead and to allow extra journey time with hour-long delays expected. 1 The M25 in Essex is closed anti-clockwise between J28 (for the A12, near Brentwood) and J27 (for the M11) due to a serious collision involving an overturned van. There are long delays of 60 minutes with congestion back towards the Dartford Crossing. All traffic was stopped at 9am, and there is no entry from J28. Emergency services including Essex Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management. Traffic is being diverted via local routes at this stage.

Dartford Crossing crash driver feared she would plunge off bridge

Miss Newman, who was treated at Basildon Hospital for bruising, said it was "surreal" to see the impact of the collision."I was very shaken up and still am," she explained. "It's petrifying and I feel for everyone who was held up in all of that."It's a major inconvenience for everyone involved, but I appreciate everyone's patience."The sales manager thanked emergency crews and Steve Lowe, 67, who stopped to help Lowe said: "I was pretty shaken up because I didn't know if I was going to be caught up in it myself."But he praised Miss Newman for staying calm in what he called a "scary situation".She added: "Everyone was shocked looking at the pictures that I managed to survive."I had someone watching over me that day."
