RTÉ to air Dublin leg of Champions League qualifier between Shelbourne and Belfast club Linfield

As reported by The 42 last week, the meeting between the reigning League of Ireland champions and the NIFL Premiership winners at Tolka Park will be shown on RTÉ, while Linfield retain priority to sell the rights for the return leg at Windsor Park on Wednesday, 16 July. BBC to stream both legs of Blues-Shelbourne tie

Linfield legend Peter Thompson believes David Healy's boys can rewrite the record books when they face Shelbourne in the Champions League in July. The former Blues striker is in a fair position to judge as he was a member of the team that overturned the applecart in 2005 when David Jeffrey's side travelled to Dublin to face Shels in the Setanta Cup Final.
