Delhi Rains Live Update: Heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for the national capital. Nowcast weather warning issued: Delhi Meteorological Centre issued a nowcast warning for Delhi, stating, 'Light rainfall/Drizzle is very likely to occur at Delhi (Narela, Bawana, Alipur, Rohini), Kharkhoda (Haryana) Shamli (U.P.) during next 2 hours.' Satisfactory air quality: The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology's (IITM) Air Quality Early Warning System stated in its Saturday bulletin: 'The air quality is likely to be in the 'satisfactory' category on 04.07.2025. The air quality is likely to remain in the 'satisfactory' category from 05.07.2025 to 07.07.2025. The outlook for the subsequent six days suggests the air quality will be in the 'satisfactory' to 'moderate' category.'

Weather today: Delhi-NCR will most likely receive light showers in some time, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. At the same time, a red alert warning for extremely heavy rains is in place for Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, several states are on IMD's orange alert, including Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. 'Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) very likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh on 06th July," IMD stated. Moving to weather forecast for West India, it predicted, '✓ Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) very likely at isolated places over Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra on 06th & 07th July.' Delhi Meteorological Centre issued a nowcast warning on X at 7:40 AM and stated, 'Light rainfall/Drizzle is very likely to occur at Delhi ( Narela, Bawana, Alipur, Rohini), Kharkhoda (Haryana) Shamli (U.P.) during next 2 hours.' With rainfall prediction for the coming 4 to 5 days, the maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to settle between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius today. The minimum temperature will most likely hover around 26 and 28 degrees Celsius.
