March 2025 to April 2025: We recruited 28 ELLE staffers to test hundreds of tools and in-office treatments. April 2025 to May 2025: ELLE staffers were asked to honestly evaluate tools and treatments based on criteria including efficacy, ease-of-use, pain, and innovation. May 2025: ELLE staffers submitted their detailed feedback to the beauty team for review. We compiled all of the info, including exactly why our staffers liked each tool or treatment. June 2025: We analyzed this feedback to find 70 winners for our second annual Tools and Treatments Awards.
