Detroit Lions Podcast: Taking on national media lists and (mis)perceptions of the Lions
The latest episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast is now available. This episode is a solo effort focusing on the proliferation of NFL lists and rankings and how the Lions are perceived heading into the 2025 NFL season. From the offensive line to safeties and all positional evaluations in between, there seems to be a real disconnect between how the national pundits view the talent on the Lions versus the virulent predictions of a Detroit downfall. It can be difficult to understand how the perceptions of the Lions and the outlook for the team have changed. This is my effort at cutting through the noise and the madness. As always, an audio-only version of the Detroit Lions Podcast is available from your favorite podcast provider.

Detroit Lions Podcast post-OTA video mailbag Detroit Lions OTAs are over, which makes it a good time for the latest edition of the Detroit Lions Podcast video mailbag. With this week's minicamp canceled due to the Lions' participation in the Hall of Fame Game, the team is off until late July. The podcast Patreon channel had some questions about the team and the OTAs during the spring, and I did my best to answer them. Among the topics: Projecting a starting offensive line, or at least the battles First impressions of the new coordinators Undrafted rookie most likely to stick Outside free agents As always, an audio-only version of the DLP is available from your favorite podcast provider.

Detroit Lions Podcast: Breaking down the OTA news and practice observations The latest episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast is now available to stream or listen to. This episode covers the OTA session from Friday, May 30th and reviews some of the top observations, as well as the comments from head coch Dan Campbell from before the practice. Which Lions players stood out? One notable was LB Grant Stuard, who could be poised for a bigger role than anticipated. A few younger players stepped up in the first OTA practice open to the media, too. Two prominent Lions aren't there because of contractual disputes. We go over why Frank Ragnow and Alex Anzalone are absent from the voluntary sessions and what they might contractually desire to remain happy in Detroit. Watch: Detroit Lions Podcast rookie minicamp observations and reaction
Watch: Detroit Lions Podcast rookie minicamp observations and reaction Friday's rookie minicamp was the first opportunity to see the Detroit Lions draft class and undrafted free agents put on the Honolulu Blue and take part in a practice. I was there for the sun-soaked morning practice and the player press conferences afterward. As a companion to the notebook published on Friday, I also recorded a video breakdown of what I saw and heard in Allen Park. Via the Detroit Lions Podcast, the video includes my thoughts on the draft class, some undrafted rookies who captured attention, and a couple of prominent veteran tryouts.
