It's been a while since reports suggesting trouble in paradise for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have surfaced on social media. However, the latter's appearance at the latest edition of the Cannes Film Festival, wearing sindoor, shut down trolls. And now, Abhishek has subtly reacted to the divorce rumors, highlighting how negative news impacts him and his family. The actor also broke his silence on why he has remained tight-lipped despite such speculations doing the rounds all over the internet. In an interview with Etimes, the Housefull 5 actor remarked that things have changed. Earlier, he didn't care about misinformation being written about him, but now, negative news affects him. "Now these things hurt. You do not live my life. You do not know how it feels to read all this. When you have a family, these things start affecting you," said Abhishek. Abhishek Bachchan talks about people twisting facts The actor went on to add that people often share false information without mentioning their names. Pointing out how such things can hurt, Abhishek Bachchan added, "No matter how strong that person is, words have an impact. Even if we clarify something, people take it in the wrong sense because negative news sells." Abhishek and Aishwarya have appeared in various films together. From Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Dhoom 2, and Guru, they have proved to be one of the most-adored reel and real-life couple. On the personal front, the duo got hitched in 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Talking about Junior Bachchan's upcoming projects, he is all set to star in Kaalidhar Laapata. Scheduled for an OTT release, the movie revolves around a man who suffers from memory loss. It also features Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and child actor Daivik Bhagela. The film will stream on Zee 5 from July 4 onwards. On the other hand, Aishwarya was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: II as Nandini.

The villains of the 'Dhoom' franchise may keep changing, but the franchise is largely about Jai Dixit and Ali (played by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra ). In a recent interview with ETimes, as Abhishek spoke about his 25-year old long journey in the movies, we also discussed some of his popular characters. During this chat, when pointed out to him that perhaps Jai Dixit shouldn't have danced in the 'Dil Laga' song from 'Dhoom 2', Abhishek agreed and he further recalled how he actually fought with producer Aditya Chopra for the same. Abhishek said, "I had a huge fight with Adi (Aditya Chopra) on that. My fight with Adi was that scene with Hrithik and me in the bar and we flip the coin. We say, kal dekhenge, aaj raat dhoom machale. The song starts. I said throughout the song I just want to be at the bar, just going to be clocking Aryan with his attitude like, 'I've given you tonight, you have fun. I'll see you tomorrow.' But Adi was adamant. We had a huge fight on it. He said no, the audience wants to see all the cast dance. I agree with you, that he shouldn't have danced. Jai Dixit doesn't dance for anyone, he dances for his wife. That's what I used to love about Jai. He is this 'hard as nail' cop outside, with a no-nonsense attitude. But with his wife, he is completely opposite. He is petrified of her." Abhishek's character Jai Dixit was also seen dancing in the song 'Touch Me Soneya' in the film, with Bipasha Basu. However, he clarified that it was becuase she was Jai's high school sweetheart and it was a school reunion. "He wasn't working that time," said Abhishek. Though, he added that these are just small things which happen. "At the end of the day, the film did really well, so you also have to accept that maybe you don't know everything. 'Dhoom' is also not just this character-driven piece. It's a popcorn film. So, I think the justification was there. Don't use your brain too much (Laughs)," he said. When further asked if there can ever be a spin-off movie of his cop character Jai, Abhishek said, "A lot of people laugh when I say this but please try and understand the way I see it. Dhoom is the adventures of Jai and Ali. The villain has to be unsurmountable otherwise there's no fun. Every villain in any say for example superhero film has to seem like 'Oh this time you will not be able to catch them, but then he does catch eventually. So, for me, 'Dhoom' is the 'Adventures Of Jai and Ali'."
