Calvin Crichton, chief princess at Big Feed, said: "We're all finding things tough at the minute – I have a little one myself so I really do get it. "We wanted to create a fun event for the whole family where budget isn't an issue, so it's totally free to come along and join in the Swapshop or even put together a stall yourself to clear out the loft or cupboards." Parents are encouraged to bring items their children have outgrown to exchange for something new. Calvin said: "People seem to be excited about the chance to get rid of or upcycle stuff – it's sustainable and saves cash and really it's just the smart thing to do. "Kids outgrow stuff, lose interest and move on – so those toys can become a dream come true for other children." Calvin stressed that anyone can take part, with or without a stall. He said: "We have had so many messages – kids can have their own stalls if they have an adult with them to look after them, and you don't have to have a stall to trade. "Bring along your items and see what you can swap them for, or if you take a stall you can buy, sell, barter – all of it is up to you. "We all need to pull together to help each other right now and we're making sure there's lots free of charge on site to keep the kids entertained. "This is about giving back and also just sharing a bit of good – escape all the madness of the world, trade some toys and games and then hang with the Disney Princesses. 'You might say, it Disney get better than that'

Almost spit out my coffee — John 'Rock & Roll" Tolkien (@jrockandrollt) June 16, 2025 Reacting to the post, when a user asked, 'Bro they tell you the price when you book, if you're surprised that's on you." To this, the father informed, 'I didn't book it or look at the menu, I'm a being of pure entropy." Another jokingly asked, 'Please tell me you have 35 kids." After many started guessing things about his money, choices and even if he was ready to be a good parent, the man shared a simple update. He said he earns well as a manager at Chipotle and was recently given a raise to $23 an hour. To help pay for the Disneyland trip, he also opened a new credit card. He made it clear that he's handling things fine and is doing well overall. As per Disneyland, for starters, kids are served a three-layer tower filled with small bites like coconut chia pudding, mini lobster rolls, beignets, banana wraps and cornbread. For the main course, kids can pick from favourites like Mickey-shaped waffles with chicken, creamy mac and cheese, and crispy bacon. Adults get more options, such as soft scrambled eggs, turkey sausage with sweet pears and figs, devilled eggs, slow-cooked short ribs, truffle mac and cheese and colourful roasted carrots served on a smooth veggie mash. The meal ends with themed desserts like Ariel's cake pops, Pocahontas-inspired sorbet, chocolate puffs for Aurora fans and pistachio macarons named after Tiana.

Disney World fan weighing 334lbs left 'permanently disfigured' on water slide "Princesses were all trained pro-actresses and spent a lot of time with the kids. I enjoyed it," he added. The Disneyland saga comes as the firm's granddaughter has slammed the entertainment giant for turning its legendary late founder into a 'robotic grandpa'. Disney is unveiling an animatronic Walt Disney to celebrate Disneyland California's 70th anniversary this July despite repeated pleas from his granddaughter Joanna Miller. Joanna Miller told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday that her beloved grandfather, who died in 1966, would have hated being turned into a talking mechanical replica. 'I think I started crying,' she said, recalling the moment she first saw the figure. 'It didn't look like him to me.' Miller said she voiced her concerns early on, sending a letter to Disney CEO Bob Iger when the idea was first proposed. She said she later met with Iger and the team responsible for creating the attraction, telling him: 'I strongly feel the last two minutes with the robot will do much more harm than good to Grandpa's legacy. "They will remember the robot - and not the man.' Despite Iger being 'very kind" and despite his promises to protect her grandfather's legacy, she said her request that they scrap the animatronic was ultimately ignored. Miller added it 'pains' her to call out the very company he created. The icon's granddaughter was speaking solely on behalf of her grandfather and mother, according to The LA Times.
