Calvin Crichton, chief princess at Big Feed, said: "We're all finding things tough at the minute – I have a little one myself so I really do get it.
"We wanted to create a fun event for the whole family where budget isn't an issue, so it's totally free to come along and join in the Swapshop or even put together a stall yourself to clear out the loft or cupboards."
Parents are encouraged to bring items their children have outgrown to exchange for something new.
Calvin said: "People seem to be excited about the chance to get rid of or upcycle stuff – it's sustainable and saves cash and really it's just the smart thing to do.
"Kids outgrow stuff, lose interest and move on – so those toys can become a dream come true for other children."

(Image: Supplied) More than 20 indoor stalls are already confirmed for the event and families are welcome to set up their own stalls free of charge.
Calvin stressed that anyone can take part, with or without a stall.
He said: "We have had so many messages – kids can have their own stalls if they have an adult with them to look after them, and you don't have to have a stall to trade.
"Bring along your items and see what you can swap them for, or if you take a stall you can buy, sell, barter – all of it is up to you.
"We all need to pull together to help each other right now and we're making sure there's lots free of charge on site to keep the kids entertained.
"This is about giving back and also just sharing a bit of good – escape all the madness of the world, trade some toys and games and then hang with the Disney Princesses.

Boots shoppers get 'so many compliments' when wearing £33 perfume worth £94

The Calvin Klein scent is usually sold for £94, but has been reduced in the sale Shoppers are praising an online deal that has slashed the price of a designer perfume typically worth almost £100 to a bargain price. Many customers have loved that it gets "so many compliments" whenever they wear it and say it has an "expensive" scent. The Calvin Klein Euphoria for Women, usually priced at £94 for a 100ml bottle, is now available at Boots for a mere £33 – offering customers a saving of over £60. Boots describes the scent as embodying "sensual femininity". The retailer adds: "Drawing inspiration from the delicate curves of an orchid in bloom, this floral fragrance is a nod to this feminine flower and is housed in a silver metal and purple glass bottle." According to Boots, the fragrance's key note is the "captivating essence of black orchid", complemented by the 'gentle softness' of lotus blossom and violet. These floral notes are blended with 'fruity' layers of pomegranate and persimmon for "a juicy allure". Shoppers get a "velvety richness that lingers on the skin" from the added effect of cream accord and mahogany. For those looking to indulge in a treat or find a thoughtful present, there are plenty of perfume deals currently available. Superdrug is selling Ghost Orb of Night at a reduced price of £36 (down from £44), and The Perfume Shop is offering Gucci Rush for just £34.99, significantly less than the usual £79, reports the Mirror. However, it's the Calvin Klein deal at Boots that has got shoppers buzzing with excitement. One customer said: "Calvin Klein's Euphoria is my favourite perfume. I have never smelt a perfume that smells so amazing and stays put for the day! I can spray loads, and it doesn't smell overpowering. I'd definitely recommend it to any ladies out there looking for a new perfume to try. It's definitely value for money!" Another added: "My fiancé bought this for me, and it's fab. I know perfumes can vary in smell and how long they last from person to person, but I struggle to find a long-lasting fragrance, and this one is great. So many people have complimented me on it!" A third wrote: "This glorious perfume has a long-lasting scent. I am often asked what I am wearing as it is so refreshing and light. It is a fabulous new find for me." Meanwhile, another reviewer described it as an "elegant" bottle perfume that "smells like it should cost much more" and another added: "Perfect for evening wear or cooler weather, it has good lasting power without being overpowering. A modern, feminine scent that gets compliments!" But, not every shopper was impressed with their purchase. One shopper complained: "I am a bit disappointed with the longevity of the scent. It doesn't last very long on the body or clothes, which makes it a bit inconvenient." Another said: "I understand that everybody has personal preference for fragrances but I dislike it so much. It is way too sweet and every single time I tried to use it ended up in a migraine!" And, another critic asked: "What has happened to this Euphoria perfume? It has no lasting scent. It used to be an intense perfume with a lovely lasting smell - now it smells cheap!" However, the majority of reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Another customer shared: "A mature scent. It lasts a long time and the packaging is very classy! I use it for formal occasions or for occasions that I want to smell more mysterious." One more reviewer declared: "Can't resist it's aroma.. People can detect you even before you enter the area."

Tearful Noel Edmonds opens up on 'very dark times' that left him 'suicidal'

Noel's House Party star, Noel Edmonds, lifts the lid on his demons in Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, in which he navigates life in New Zealand with his wife, Liz Noel Edmonds opens up about some 'very dark times' in his new series, Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure. The iconic presenter, 76, famed for Noel's House Party and Deal Or No Deal, is one of the most recognisable presenters in the country. However, in his new series on ITV in which he navigates life in New Zealand, with wife, Liz, the star admits he has, at times, felt suicidal. During last week's show, narrator, Rob Brydon, explained Noel's production company unexpectedly went bankrupt, hugely affecting the star's mental health in 2005. Blaming "some corrupt bankers" for the ordeal, Noel recalls: "My Unique group of companies was deliberately collapsed by some corrupt bankers. And I'm safe in saying that because my bank manager went to prison, along with four others, for 50 years." ‌ READ MORE: Noel Edmonds' £14million New Zealand estate where bizarre lifestyle keeps him young ‌ He continues: "When the companies went into administration in 2006, I thought I was a crap businessman. I thought it was my fault. 70 people lost their jobs." After 'winning his battle to get his losses back', dad-of-four, Noel, asked the Lord of the Rings studio to build him a huge statue of a knight, kneeling down, praying for his sprawling garden in New Zealand. Appearing emotional, before revealing he had felt suicidal, the star said of the statue he calls 'The Guardian': "He's praying before he gets up and defeats the dark force, the enemy." Noel continued: "I'll tell you, when you go to that dark space… I used to, like many people, kind of look down my nose and think, why would anybody want to take their own life? Why would they want to do that? "I'll tell you, if you've ever been in that dark space, you'll never be critical, because it is a space where there is no reason." ‌ Following the emotional episode, many viewers took to social media, praising the presenter, who they claimed has "been to hell and back". One posted on X: "Say what you like about him but he's been to hell and back and is still standing and as someone who grew up watching him on Swap Shop and TOTP etc I'm a fan and will be watching next week." Meanwhile, another said: "Don't care what you say, I love Noel Edmonds!" ‌ Noel previously opened up about attempting to take his own life in 2005. Speaking to the Mail in 2017, he said: "I've thought a lot about that dark place I got to. Thankfully, it is beyond the comprehension of most people. "Yes, people suffer from depression. But it is not quite the same as the space you go into when all reason goes, when rationality and logic and hope vanish. "Life without hope is no life. There is no logic. How illogical, when you adore your children and family, to do that." *If you're struggling and need to talk, the Samaritans operate a free helpline open 24/7 on 116 123.
