Dominik Mysterio Off Night Of Champions Due To Injury, Per WWE
Dominik Mysterio won't be on hand for this year's Night of Champions, with WWE confirming that Mysterio's match is off due to injury. During Monday's episode of WWE RAW, it was confirmed that by Adam Pearce that Mysterio was injured, and couldn't wrestle at Night of Champions. He told the news to AJ Styles, who was set to face, Mysterio, during the show. The pair were initially set to go at it for Dom's WWE Intercontinental Championship. Advertisement It's currently unclear exactly what injury Mysterio is facing, or how serious it actually is. Pearce told Styles he would be the first to get a shot at the belt when Dominik is healthy, though. More information will likely come forward in the coming days regarding his injury. WWE Night of Champions is set to take place on June 28, 2025, from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Karrion Kross Reacts to WWE Finally Booking Him for Night of Champions 2025
Karrion Kross will finally step into the spotlight at a premium live event this weekend, as WWE has officially added him to the Night of Champions 2025 card. Despite recent concerns surrounding tensions between the USA and Iran, WWE is moving forward with plans to hold Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On WWE RAW, it was confirmed that the Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles is cancelled due to Mysterio suffering a rib injury. Advertisement However, while that match was pulled, WWE added a new bout: Karrion Kross vs. Sami Zayn. Kross has been playing mind games with Zayn for months, making him his main target after Zayn's elimination from the King of the Ring tournament on SmackDown. On WWE RAW, Karrion Kross confronted Sami Zayn during a backstage interview. The fans gave Kross a huge reaction, echoing the support he's been receiving at WWE Main Event. Kross mocked and told Zayn he would never become a WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Sami Zayn didn't back down. He hit Kross with a right hand, declared their match official after speaking with Adam Pearce, and told him, 'Tick Tock,' before walking off. Scarlett and Kross laughed it off, with Kross turning to her and confidently saying, 'Got him'. Karrion Kross, who has gained momentum thanks to his recent performances, got emotional after learning WWE booked him for the show. The 2025 SummerSlam is also coming nearer as performers get geared up for two more nights of excitement and thrill. But amid all the preparation, one thing that has been unsettling many fans and keeping the head honchos of WWE returning to the planning board is the fact that multiple stars are currently facing some heavy injuries. Injuries to Liv Morgan and other wrestling stars are becoming a big developmental issue for WWE Liv Morgan is one of the top-performing stars in the WWE, which is why, when she got injured, it came at a price. The GOAT, John Cena, is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk, and Jacob Fatu will put his WWE United States title on the line against his former Bloodline cohort, Solo Sikoa. There was another championship bout scheduled to take place at Night of Champions this year. However, on the go-home edition of Monday Night RAW, the match was taken off the card. Which title match is no longer taking place at WWE Night of Champions this year? On the June 23rd edition of Monday Night RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce was in a conversation with AJ Styles in his office. The Phenomenal One was set to clash against Dominik Mysterio for his WWE Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions. However, Pearce informed Styles that Mysterio was not medically cleared to compete, and henceforth, the match was not taking place at the event.
