WWE Night of Champions 2025 was set to showcase some highly compelling championship title matches. The GOAT, John Cena, is set to defend his Undisputed
WWE
Championship against CM Punk, and Jacob Fatu will put his WWE United States title on the line against his former Bloodline cohort, Solo Sikoa.
There was another championship bout scheduled to take place at Night of Champions this year.
However, on the go-home edition of Monday Night RAW, the match was taken off the card.
Which title match is no longer taking place at WWE Night of Champions this year?
On the June 23rd edition of Monday Night RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce was in a conversation with
AJ Styles
in his office. The Phenomenal One was set to clash against Dominik Mysterio for his WWE Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions.
However, Pearce informed Styles that Mysterio was not medically cleared to compete, and henceforth, the match was not taking place at the event.
This came just a week after Dominik Mysterio's onscreen girlfriend, Liv Morgan, injured her shoulder last week on RAW. Now, Dirty Dom has also suffered a setback. While WWE did not disclose the nature of his injury, he was present on this week's RAW in a backstage segment with The Judgment Day.
