Suresh Raina to debut with Tamil film Production No 1: Chennai's spirit with me
Former international cricketer Suresh Raina is all set to kickstart his Kollywood journey. He himself confirmed his surprise acting debut on his X Knight Stories, a brand-new production house, shared the announcement video of Raina's first venture in cinema. The movie is tentatively titled 'Production No 1' and is directed by Logan, known for his work in 'Maan Karate', 'Remo', and 'Gethu'. The teaser was launched at a grand event in the presence of industry video unveils a man walking on the cricket field with the crowd cheering and whistling. It then shows side view of Raina from the back. The clip then ends with the former cricketer's face turning into an image on a gold coin. Dream Knight Stories shared the promo on its X handle and wrote, "Welcoming Chinna Thala Suresh Raina on board for DKS 'Production No 1' (sic)." Suresh Raina to feature in a Tamil film? Teases 'big surprise' on July 4
Former Indian cricketer hinted at bringing his cricket life on the big screen with a social media post on Thursday. While quoting a post from Dream Knight Stories Private Limited, Raina wrote, "Revealing a surprise tomorrow. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now .. Stay tuned." In the original post, the production house showed cricket's ground staff using covers to keep the pitch and information under wraps with the text on it reading, "Revealing tomorrow 7pm." It might be the first look to Raina's cricket life coming to the theatrs. "They both have the versatility and screen presence to bring my journey to life," he said.
