Jaideep Ahlawat confirms working in King, reveals Shah Rukh Khan stepped in when Siddharth Anand hesitated to cast him
In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan created a stir at the box office with three back-to-back hits — Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. Now, fans are eagerly awaiting his new film, titled King. Earlier, Saurabh Shukla revealed he was part of the film, and now in an interview with Lallantop, Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed his involvement too. Jaideep revealed he is a part of Shah Rukh's King and recalled how he came on board. He said, "SRK sir kaafi time se soch rahe the iss cheez ko, jaisa mujhe pata laga hai, but Siddharth (Anand) bhai thoda hichak rahe honge ki chota part hai to offer after Jewel Thief. But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said I'll talk to him. Ab unki baat kaun nakarega (SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time, as far as I know. But Siddharth (Anand) bhai was a bit hesitant to offer it since it was a small role after Jewel Thief. But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, 'I'll talk to him.' Now who could say no to him?)." He further heaped praise on Shah Rukh and said, "I really like him. In all my interactions with him — in the five to seven times we've met — starting from Raees, where I shot with him for four to five days, and even after that, whenever we met, he always made me feel like I was the closest person to him. He's a wonderful human being. He has some amazing qualities. Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important." For the unversed, Jaideep played the role of the main antagonist in Siddharth Anand's Jewel Thief, which also featured Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. Apart from his acting skills, Jaideep's dance moves also earned him appreciation. The movie is available to watch on Netflix. About King Helmed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Suhana Khan and Saurabh Shukla. If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor are also part of the cast. However, the official announcement is yet to be made. The film is currently in production and the release date is yet to be decided.

Shah Rukh Khan's manager denies claims of illegal constructions at Mannat
Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's manager has denied claims of illegal construction work at Mannat, the actor's palatial sea-facing home in Mumbai currently undergoing renovation. On Friday, as per reports, an inspection team comprising Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and forest department officials arrived at the site to check for violations after a complaint by an activist. 'There are no complaints,' Pooja Dadlani, Khan's manager, was quoted as saying by TOI. 'All work is going on as per guidelines.' A report based on the findings of the inspection team will be submitted soon, a forest official told the publication. A Mumbai-based activist, Santosh Daundkar, had challenged the legality of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance granted to Shah Rukh Khan to expand his six-storey mansion, Mannat, by adding two more floors. He had also accused Khan of demolished two heritage structures from 2000 to 2006 without taking mandatory prior environmental clearance from the concerned authorities. Khan and his family are currently residing at an upscale apartment building in Pali Hill, Bandra till the end of the renovations. Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. His next film is titled King.

King: Shah Rukh Khan shoots jail sequence with 200 stuntmen, Siddharth Anand gets 3 international action experts
After the blockbuster success of Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is returning to the action genre with his upcoming movie, King. Reportedly, the megastar kick-started an action-packed sequence set against the backdrop of a prison. As per a report in Mid Day, the actor began shooting for the jail sequence earlier this week at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. Reportedly, the sequence is set in a foreign jail, where Shah Rukh Khan's character takes on a gang of baddies. The action-packed sequence will be crucial to the narrative, promising several seeti-maar moments. Director Siddharth Anand has flown in three international action experts to choreograph this particular scene. Adding more details about the high-octane sequence, a source told the publication, "On June 15, the crowd portions were canned with nearly 200 stunt performers.' Shah Rukh Khan has been going through intense training for a couple of weeks in order to give his 100 percent to this particular action sequence. The jail sequence is reported to continue filming till June 21. For the unversed, the Dunki actor is playing a ruthless assassin in the movie. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the much-awaited action thriller will present Shah Rukh Khan in a slick and stylish avatar. Besides King Khan, the movie boasts an ensemble star cast which includes- Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma. Abhishek Bachchan is playing the main antagonist in the movie, while the details about other characters have been kept under wraps. The ambitious project will be shot for more than 100 days and is expected to release on Gandhi Jayanti 2026. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. While the background score will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the music will be given by Sachin-Jigar. Shah Rukh Khan and kids Aryan, Suhana, AbRam have ‘secret door' they enter from at Gauri Khan's restaurant
Gauri Khan's Mumbai restaurant Torii has a special entryway for her husband Shah Rukh Khan and their kids Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. In an interview with SCREEN, the restaurant's head chef, Stefan Gadit, talked all about the 'secret door' for the Khans and their favourite dishes at the restaurant. He also revealed that there's a special 'secret door' just for the Khans to enter and exit the place. He also stated that the doorway is accessed only by a few celebrities and, of course, the Khans. 'Not everybody has access to the secret doorway; it's for the Khans,' said the chef. In the same interview, the head chef spoke about how AbRam often orders food from the restaurant and how Suhana and Aryan hang out there with their friends. He claimed that Shah Rukh and Gauri's youngest son liked the sushi there, while the actor himself liked the lamb chops, and Gauri liked the Thai curry. Recently, they also celebrated Shah Rukh's manager Pooja Dadlani's birthday there. Shah Rukh was last seen in the 2023 films Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. He took a break from filming after that and is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand's King. The film will also star his daughter Suhana in her theatrical debut. She made her acting debut with Netflix's The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar. Abhishek Bachchan also stars in the film. Gauri's restaurant Torii opened last year on Valentine's Day. It was also featured on the reality show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, with Sussanne Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari and Seema Sajdeh attending the opening.
