What is Texas A&M football's overall raking in EA Sports College Football 26?

With mixed reviews from college football fans across the country, EA Sports College Football 26 officially dropped the top 25 overall teams in the video game that drops on July 10. Among those top-rated teams in this year's edition was the Texas A&M Aggies, who are the No. 8 program in the game with a team ranking of 88 overall. The school ranks as the fourth-best overall team in the Southeastern Conference, with Alabama ranked No. 1, Texas at No. 2, and Georgia at No. 6 in the official ratings before the 2025-2026 campaign begins. While Aggie fans are tired of seeing the team ranked high each preseason, resulting in disappointing results, the 2025 preseason just feels different. While EA Sports provided overalls for each program in the top 25, the company released the best offensive and defensive units in this year's edition. Texas A&M ranks at No. 12 in both categories with a 90 overall defense and an 89 overall offense. Here is the full list of team overalls in the 2026 edition: Team Overalls Much to the chagrin of Aggie fans, the rankings also faced much backlash from fans in the replies of the official drop, specifically regarding the game's top 10 teams. The Crimson Tide ranked as the best overall team is extremely generous considering the program did not reach the College Football Playoff last year and head coach Kalen DeBoer is in just his second season at the helm, with many questions about who will step up at the quarterback position. As you can imagine, those same feelings toward Alabama were made against the Aggies being at No. 8 on this list, after finishing the season with a loss in the Las Vegas Bowl to the USC Trojans. The ratings in the game will be adjusted accordingly to how the season progresses, however. With potentially one of the best running back rooms in the country featuring a healthy Le'Veon Moss, Rueben Owens and Amari Daniels, sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed and wideouts like NC State transfer KC Concepcion, the Aggies' offense could lead this team to become one of the best in the SEC this season. The 89 overall ranking is justifiable, but the concerns on defense leave me with questions on how EA Sports formulated the rankings. Regardless, the EA Sports College Football 26 video game will release in 13 days on Xbox and PlayStation. The standard edition is $69.99, with the deluxe and MVP editions costing $99.99 and $149.99, respectively. EA Sports College Football 26 reveals best teams: Where do Alabama Crimson Tide rank?

Here's one you may not have seen coming. The Alabama Crimson Tide will be the best team to play with when EA Sports' College Football 26 is released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S gaming consoles in July. The video game franchise, now in its second year after its extremely successful relaunch last summer, unveiled its individual team ratings on Friday as more details about this year's game trickle in closer to its release date. Alabama topped the list at No. 1. The Crimson Tide's 89 overall rating edged the Texas Longhorns at No. 2, defending national champion Ohio State at No. 3, Penn State at No. 4, and Notre Dame at No. 5. The four schools behind Alabama -- plus Nos. 6-8 Georgia, Clemson, and Texas A&M -- all have an 88 overall rating. Alabama has the top overall defense in College Football 26 with a 96 rating, while its offense is No. 7 overall with an 89 rating. Last year's rankings saw Georgia as the top team to play with in College Football 25, while Alabama was ranked No. 4. The Crimson Tide also had the No. 4 overall defense with Ohio State at No. 1. Alabama's offense was ranked No. 3 behind Georgia at No. 1 and Oregon at No. 2. Here's a full look at the top 25 overall teams and offensive/defensive units in College Football 26. Penn State offense and defense ranked top 3 in EA Sports College Football 26

The highly anticipated EA Sports College Football 26 numbers are in, and for the second consecutive year, Penn State placed highly. The Nittany Lions earned a 88 overall roster ranking, which placed them as the No. 4 overall team in the game, behind No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State. It's important to note no team was higher than an 89 overall. Broken down by units, Penn State's defense led the way with a 94 overall ranking, good for third place behind the Crimson Tide and Longhorns. It was the best-rated defense in the Big Ten, followed closely by Ohio State at No. 5, Michigan at No. 6 and Oregon at No. 7. Offensively, the Nittany Lions earned a 91, which was the second highest ranking behind Texas, which also had a 91. Penn State came in one spot above Ohio State, which also graded as a 91, while the next highest Big Ten team was No. 11 Indiana. Penn State's respectable rankings on both sides of the field are representative of the amount of on-field talent its accumulated ahead of the 2025 campaign. With returning stars across the board and some top transfer additions, the Nittany Lions certainly have one of the best rosters on paper, something reflected in the game rankings. Based solely on overall team rankings, Penn State is higher than 11 of the teams it plays next season, with the Buckeyes being the only exception. If that plays out on the field, the Nittany Lions will be well on their way to another College Football Playoff appearance and likely a deep run.

Michigan football EA Sports College Football 26 game ranking revealed

Now in its second year, the EA Sports College Football franchise is a good way to get at least a basic, cursory idea of how each college team will be in the season. Or at least how prognosticators feel about the field. Michigan football will likely have a punishing defense but is revamping the offense -- and there's no telling just how quickly the Wolverines will be able to put together a unit that's significantly more functional than what we saw on the field in 2024. Still, EA Sports has a lot of faith that the maize and blue will be significantly improved compared to last year, with Michigan being ranked at No. 15 overall in the soon-to-be-released EA Sports College Football 26 video game. The rankings for the top 25 teams were revealed on Friday. Via On3: In the actual season, Michigan football plays just two of the listed ranked teams -- No. 17 Oklahoma in Week 2 and No. 3 Ohio State in Week 14. Of course, this is just a barometer for the season, or, if you're playing the video game, shows you the strength of the team if you choose to play as the Wolverines. The new EA Sports College Football 26 game is set to be released on July 10, with the deluxe edition getting a three-day early digital release on July 7.

EA Sports College Football 26 goes deeper: Real coaches, fiercer recruiting, and a wear-and-tear slider

Image generated using AI tool After an 11-year break, EA Sports' college gridiron series finally comes off the bench with more than a fresh coat of paint. College Football 26 lands on 10 July for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, promising a beefed-up Dynasty mode, smarter AI and deep cross-play leagues designed to satisfy die-hard fans and first-timers alike. A new kind of sideline boss For the first time, you can start your Dynasty as one of more than 300 authentic head coaches and coordinators—each carrying a real playbook, scheme, and career record. If you'd rather craft your own persona, fresh gear options (hoodies, quarter-zips, even sleeveless tees) and custom stances let you choose everything from wardrobe to body language. Coach progression now stretches to level 100, so building a legend takes more than a weekend binge. Recruiting is no longer a spreadsheet EA has rebuilt the talent hunt around traffic, distance and the modern transfer portal. Cross-country visits burn time, local kids are cheaper to woo, and up to 3,500 players can jump into the portal each off-season. Facilities, playing time and NIL-style expectations shift as prospects grow, forcing constant triage of scholarships and promises. Rest him or risk a longer lay-off. The slider can be tuned, but injuries now sap ratings, change animations and even cut momentum bonuses during a game. Dynamic substitutions help—swap tired starters without pausing and save custom sub packages for future Saturdays. 2,800 plays, 45 formations and smarter defence EA has packed in ten fresh archetypes, rebalanced abilities, and tied quarterback vision to height. Defensive AI has also been overhauled after fan feedback, aiming to end the 'cover-2 cheese' that plagued older editions. Momentum still swings, yet poor form or heavy bumps can drag stats the other way. Custom conferences, protected rivalries and full cross-play Whether you want to keep Michigan-Ohio State glued to November or create a coast-to-coast super-league, the scheduling tools now allow protected rivalries and playoff tweaks. Dynasty leagues support cross-play, meaning PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can rebuild together without workarounds. A roomy Trophy Room and College Football History hub track every title, award and record you collect. Mark your calendar EA Sports College Football 26 hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 10 July, with Deluxe owners getting the ball on 7 July. EA says these upgrades are 'Year 2' of a multi-season plan, hinting that even deeper immersion—perhaps NIL deals or expanded playoff formats—could follow in future iterations. For now, the return playbook already looks thick enough to keep fans busy until bowl season. Want every last detail?
