Russian Children Draw on Qenawy Pottery in Clay Art Workshop
Pasant Elzaitony The Russian House in Cairo organized a clay art workshop for Russian and Egyptian children under the supervision of Artist Maha El Gendy, as part of the art exhibition held under the title "Colors of Maha" El Gendy pointed out that the workshop is about clay art, and drawing on pottery. She added that choosing Qenawy pottery was to express Egypt's popular heritage and the idea of giving Russian children the opportunity to express their imagination and personal ideas, through teaching them the secrets of clay painting, using ornaments and color mixing. El Gendy confirmed that the first step was lining the pots with white to ensure the strength of the chosen colors. The children drew roses, geometric and decorative shapes and wrote their names on the pottery, while The Egyptian children drew drawings related to the holy month of Ramadan. The children learned the technique of dealing with colors and how to combine them. Some children also used cork plates and turned them into artistic pieces using different colors. On his part, Murad Gatin, Director of Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt stated that such activities help bring Russian and Egyptian children closer together and create early friendships between them. Sherif Gad, Director of Cultural Activities at the Russian House expressed his happiness with the success of the workshop, confirming that art is capable of building bridges of communication between different cultures.

Egypt aims for 30mln tourists annually as U Hotels expands in Alexandria
Egypt's tourism sector is ramping up efforts to achieve the Ministry of Tourism's 2030 vision, targeting an annual capacity of 30 million tourists and generating $30bn in revenue. This ambitious goal is being pursued through strategic expansions in hotel capacity across the country's cities and governorates. As part of these efforts, U Hotels Management and Tourism Development has inaugurated its latest property, XU San Stefano, a luxury beachfront hotel in Alexandria's prestigious San Stefano district. The first phase of the hotel includes 40 suites, complemented by premium amenities such as the Al Fayrouz Restaurant, a modern reception area, a coffee shop, and a private 100-meter stretch of Mediterranean coastline. Ehab El Gendy, Chairperson of U Tourism Development and Vice Chairperson of Marseilia Beach, highlighted that XU San Stefano is designed to offer a high-end hospitality experience with diverse accommodation options. He also revealed plans to expand the hotel's capacity by 50%, adding 40 more rooms within the next six months.
